Raso's Bar and Grille
Drinks and appetizer came out relatively quickly. The appetizer ordered was a special -- Steak and cheese egg rolls. Appetizer that we were served was actually toasted ravioli egg rolls. We didn't gripe as we didn't have a problem with toasted ravioli, but we did inform our server that we did not receive the item we ordered in case someone else's order also wrong. Server stated those were the only type of egg rolls being served, which leads to why were the steak and cheese ones listed on the specials sheet?
Anyway, after receiving appetizer, we placed our entrée order, which was at about 6:30pm. Server came by again for additional drink order, but once it got past 7pm with no food, we began wondering if our order was put into the kitchen. Upon asking server, he just said kitchen was backed up, but other customers who were seated after us had already received their food, so not sure that was the truthful answer.
Server did offer free dessert as a bit a redemption, but overall this first experience at Raso's will likely be our last. It's definitely not a place I'd refer to anyone.
Always good food at Raso’s
The food never disappoints. The restaurant could use an update though. Pretty dark and dismal. The outside deck is nice on a summer evening.
Our server Gustavo was phenomenal! Excellent Service and Great Food! We Will definitely be back again!
Great restaurant, good value for your money. Food and deserts are delicious. Wait staff and owner Rich all fantastic. I highly recommend the lemon cello desert worth every calorie.
Great food, great service !! All time favorite restaurant!
The server was really great and the food was over all good. I wasn't a fan of the bread but besides that I liked it all. The price was unbeatable!
We were visiting from New York and made reservations due to the reviews on line and we were not disappointed. We were seated right away and given menus. The server was at our table promptly to take our drink orders. Bread was brought to our table quickly and our orders taken. The food was delicious and the cappuccino was some of the best I tasted. I can’t say enough about the service. It was quick and efficient. I highly recommend this place
Good food, excellent service, and a good value overall. The only downside is the very dated inside dining area - it could really use an upgrade.
Food was delicious, and service was excellent! Will go back
Our evening out at Raso’s was outstanding as always. Summer specialty cocktails are back!!! I’m a huge fan of Watering the Garden. Will be back several times this summer to enjoy another one of those drinks.
A great local place
We had a good time, good food and it was close to the theater.
I chose Raso’s based on good reviews and it’s proximity to the Chevalier Theatre. Drinks, food and wait staff were great! Highly recommend!
We had a fabulous waiter; food was great and the restathad lots of energy.
Raso’s can’t be beat ! The most delicious food, outstanding staff! Menu is plentiful to choose from. Delicious drinks too!
Great neighborhood find. Stumbled upon it and had the best meal! Would definitely go back!
The food and service were great. We really enjoyed it and will bring friends next time. The variety on the menu is a draw !
First I'm back in years the service was excellent the food was great as usual they have the best homemade bread ever and I'll waitress was great knowing that we had to catch a show at a certain time she was efficient Pleasant.
Parking is tough but "The bar is lively"!! The bartenders are fabulous and make excellent craft cocktails! We had reservations on a Friday night at 5:45 before a show at the Chevalier Theater (approx one mile away) After seeing the dining room...we opted to sit in the bar. The dining room is dated but quaint. The food was delicious even though the pork chop was over cooked. The sausage is a must try! We will definitely go back
We always love coming to Raso’s. Never a bad meal!
LOVE Raso’s and go there as much as possible. Love sitting on the bar side, but for a group, we prefer the dining room. Awesome staff! My favorite restaurant!
Great as always!
Busy night and the wait staff was seemed to be stretched thin. We didn’t see our waiter, and I think it was due to the night being under staffed. Also, food took very long to come out, and when it did, the pasta dishes came out steaming, as they should be, and the meat and fish dishes were lukewarm.
Food and service were great. Everyone enjoyed their meal.
Alicia may be the best waitperson we’ve ever had. She’s quick, gracious, funny and very efficient - everything you want to complete your dining experience. The food, as always, was delicious. The steak tips cooked to perfection, paired with a spinach salad with strawberries and goat cheese was exactly what I wanted and they delivered. The lemon dressing is fantastic.. I look forward to it every time we go to Raso’s. Everyone enjoyed their meals. It was a very lovely evening out.
Excellent food. A little loud at times but I was ok with it. Good energy!
We went on a whim and are glad we did. Parking was a bit dicey but the food was incredibly good. We'll definitely be back when we are in the area again.
Food and drinks were fabulous. Our waiter was great as well attentive and conscientious of our 8:00 show. There was lots of help assisting to make sure things ran smoothly. Will absolutely go back so many things I want to try on the menu.
The food was delicious as always but I was disappointed to see that the menu had changed and some of my favorites were no longer available. We sat at the bar for an hour and some of the beers listed on the menu were not available when ordered, then when we sat down for dinner, we ordered a bottle of wine for the table and was told that they didn't have that specific wine. Our waiter was great and gave us a more expensive bottle for the same price as the one that was out, but when we later went to order that same bottle, we were told that that wasn't available any more either.
I've been to Raso's multiple times and I've never been disappointed with the quality of their food, and would recommend it to friends, but also let them know not to get their hopes up when it comes to the drinks.
It does not disappoint! A great little neighborhood find. Delicious Italian food and a full bar. Good for a reasonable and tasty dinner and and also seems like a good place to hang out and watch a game!
Really pleasant surprise. The food was outstanding.
Best Veal Parmesan I’ve ever had plus fantastically fresh made pasta and sauce, out of this world delicious. Would recommend to anyone and will be visiting again soon. Thank You Raso’s!
Made a reservation for 3, 8 days prior. Table was 30 plus minute wait, hostess didn’t provide updates, waitress rarely stopped over, water refilled only when tracked down, very loud tables nearby including lots of regulars who clearly get preferential treatment. Too bad because the food was quite good but we would not return.
There is insufficient parking for the size of the restaurant.
I asked a friend to recommend a restaurant somewhere around Cambridge, not too expensive but good food. This really fit the bill. It's in a pretty funky area right on Mystic Ave., and the parking is definitely limited. But we went for Sunday lunch and there were very few people in the restaurant and several open parking spots. The place started to fill up later in the afternoon. It's remarkably close to Tufts - only a few minutes from Powder House Square (Circle). The wait people were attentive and friendly, and the food was very good. Got the eggplant stack appetizer - unusual and delicious! Great pistachio martini, and other mixed drinks that were very interesting and tasty, and not expensive. We had really yummy spumoni and tiramisu for dessert. The atmosphere is fine, nothing to write home about, but comfortable and pleasant. I'd definitely go back.
Always have a good meal.
Most underrated restaurant in the area. Excellent Food and outstanding service
WOW! I feel like I can FINALLY believe some reviews! I had never heard of this convenient place right off 93. It had 100% recommendation, we parked easily right in front, walked into a pleasantly lively bar scene, and 2 side by side dining areas, pleasantly full.....on a MONDAY night! Host & Hostess were amazing, really concerned with where we would be comfortable sitting and actually came back shortly after and mentioned that a booth had opened up! We moved over there and I had the seat facing the HUGE screen tv, so could inconspicuously watch the Red Sox BLOW OUT the Yankees and not be distracted! Waiter was great with wine selection, cocktail was a perfect Manhattan, then, Hubby ordered the BEST BOLOGNESE in Boston! on homemade ravioli, amazing, we pretty much licked the plate! (it was even better than the time I made it from scratch for hours and hours and stunk up the kitchen) I can't wait to go back!
we will definitely return! delicious, friendly staff, very comfortable, music a little loud, would prefer more mellow music for dinner
