Although we frequent many high end Steakhouse’s we haven’t been here in a couple of years.
I was extremely please with the quality of the food.
I do however have a couple of issues.
One was with the Valet parking system. Our reservation was at 8:00, and we arrived at 7:45. Unfortunately the line for the Valet was out of the parking lot and down Jericho Tpke. We wound up getting into the restaurant at 8:10. It was snowing, so that might have contributed to the backup.
My second issue was with the service later in the meal.
Upon sitting we were greeted promptly and ordered drinks from the bar.
After a while we ordered apps, and a bottle of wine.
That’s when the service started to become a little lax.
My wife ordered a different salad dressing the listed with the salad. When the salad arrived the listed dressing was included. No problem, she would just tell someone. Well no server came by for a while. Finally we were able to notify the waiter and he brought the right salad dressing out.
We ordered our main courses, and right before they came to the table we ordered another bottle of wine.
Well, the wine didn’t get to the table till we were just about finished with our main courses. Not used to that at a quality steakhouse.
With the excellent quality of the food, the issues with the valet and some of the service would not stop me from dining here again.
We sat in the glass room it was spectacular.
It was snowing.
Everything was delicious, service was great.
This visit was a bit disappointing.
Awesome awesome awesome
Excellent meal and service is impeccable :) I would definitely recommend this restaurant :)
the restaurant had a few empty tables we still have to wait at least 20 min for our table. the hostess was rude and unpleasant.
Went there on Valentine’s Day and had a great time as usual. Ray & Steve served us well along with comp drinks & dessert. The food took a little while but was well worth the wait. We had a 40oz tomahawk wagyu steak, cooked to perfection. My only concern was the noise level, particularly the party next to us who was extremely loud to the point where I could not hear my girlfriend and we eventually had to move tables. Other than that it was another great night at Rare 650.
Valentine’s dinner waited almost half hour to get seated despite reservations. Food was delicious and came quickly and waiters were responsive. Overall good experience.
