Rapscallion Seafood House & Bar Ratings and Reviews
After living in both Hawaii and in Alaska, as well as having fished in both of those States, I am somewhat of a “fish snob.” I always say, don’t order seafood when you’re not on the coast. Their fresh oysters were good, however the swordfish was fishy and strong. My wife’s filet was ordered as “medium,”but came back as bloody. Needless to say, we won’t be back again. In Reno, stick with sushi, however if you want FRESH fish make sure that you’re on the coast!
Tuie our waiter is always great but the noise level was out of control. The table next to us was a large party in a small room with a few intimate tables around them. Not a good combination for other patrons at the small tables. Their cocktail menu needs to be larger. We find it nicer to eat at the bar it’s much more intimate in there.
Loved the food Overall experience has been great Service isn't the top grade it use to be. Tried to sit at bar area inside too busy, sat outside and waited for a waitress for a long time. There was only two other tables with people and this is a Friday night. The food is exceptional and that is a super compliment. We have eaten in restaurants in Croatia, Austria, Spain, Hungary, and Bosnia. The Rapscallion holds honors with them!!!
Miss the old layout. We were seated at a table with a full view of the kitchen and are not sure how to feel about one of the cooks constantly eating while preparing food. Not a huge deal but the staff never recognized the anniversary we were celebrating. Drinks were top notch.
Waitress in the bar was awesome. Our table in the far back room Would have been nice if the other large party in the room didn't treat it like a sports bar. It was so loud we couldn't even hear each other at our table. Very disappointed with the evening and the waiter paid more attention to the other tables. It was a special night with friends and the money spend...would rather had gone to sports bar since that's what it was like. Kandi Smith 722 7397
Successful recent remodel opened up the main dining room, but left a row of booths ideal for business meetings or intimate dining. Six of us enjoyed a room at the back, which is great for larger groups. Beautiful bar area. Food and service are excellent. Solid wine list. Kuleto's first restaurant is better than ever!
I was there on a date with a friend that I’ve known for along time. It would have been nice to have not been sat so close to a larger party. Was a little loud. Food was excellent but very pricey. Overall, I’d go again, but would have to request a quieter part of the restaurant .
This was by far, the best dining experience I've had in Reno, and I've lived here for 14 years. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was inviting. Most importantly, the customer service was phenomenal. Our waiter, Eliad, was tentative and seemed genuinely pleased to serve us, and made the evening all the more enjoyable. I would recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for fine dining for a special occasion, or for a date night for two.
Our server "Tue" was absolutely great - attentive but not overly so - came at the right time to pour more wine, check on our satisfaction with our dinners. Was very knowledgeable about the specials being offered that night and his recommendations turned out wonderful. Also, my wife is a vegetarian and he requested the chef prepare the "beef" stroganoff without the meat and she was served a lovely dish with added vegetables and mushrooms. Great!
