Dinner: Friday-Saturday: 5:30pm - 1:00am
C or E to Spring St.
Just ok. Food was good.
Ambiance was cozy and comfortable. Burger was delicious. Server was unpleasant and deliberately ignored us. The rest of the staff was attentive and pleasant.
Great energy, steak for two and lots of red wine is the perfect experience!
It's the second time I have been to Raoul's and despite its hearty and authentic French menu (I had my French boyfriend with me on my second visit who agreed it was like a taste of home) with the eclectic mix of decor and clientele you couldn't be more sure that your in the big apple.
If you looking for great tasting comfort food in a cozy buzzing spot where you can see how the locals do it definitely head to Raoul's!
Very Bad! Never again! Award winning burger is not on the menue!
Made reservations the morning of the dinner for 4. Appetizers included foie gras, pork belly, and very creative salads...all French influenced; very good. Cocktails were well prepared including the French 75. By the glass wine was available. Main courses included duck breast, trout, chicken, and pepper steak. All were cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. Bread pudding and various teas were well prepared. Service was very good. Our server was French. I recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a perfectly prepared French meal.
Fantastic ambiance, excellent service, very good food. Great NY dining experience!
As a native New Yorker my spouse and I have been to numerous restaurants. Raoul’s is top of the line. The food is truly divine and the artistic vibe and tin ceiling tops it off.
Excellent as always! Hard to get a reservation but worth the wait!!
This may just be a personal choice, but the restaurant was bombarded by only loud and wasted people who were incredibly annoying. It was so boisterous, I couldn't even hear my husband sitting across from me. We had to yell. I think if the people there weren't so awful it would have been better. Frat bros on one side and screaming women on the other side. And the tables are literally touching so you don't have any space to get away from the awfulness. Food was decent. But I couldn't even finish my entree before needing to leave.
The burger was fantastic, and Chris, the maitre d, made our dining experience wonderful.
It was an absolute delight brunching at Raoul’s! The burger is an incredible must! Love the vibe, can’t wait to return. The view through the aqaurium
Food was good but the restaurant was very tight seating and extremely loud.Very difficult to have a conversation. We had gone there previously for lunch and it was great but for dinner the ambiance was not there.
Perfect steak au Poivre every time. The best fries in Manhattan. Superb martinis. Great joyous vibe in this place. A fun restaurant to be savored.
Amazing environment, felt home
I loved the buzz of this restaurant, and the cozy authentic atmosphere. Food was outstanding, and the service was excellent. We will be back!
We have never been disappointed by the food at Raoul's. The wine list by the glass is limited, but by the bottle is extensive, with what seems to be a typical Manhattan mark-up of 3+ times retail. The service is good, but can vary by how busy the restaurant. Our biggest complaint, which also seems to be typical in Manhattan, is the incredibly loud noise level -- energetic doesn't begin to describe the reality. The dining room has no noise abatement on floors, walls or ceiling. Why does a restaurant feel the need to play background music when the dining room is already filled with patrons trying to talk with each other? This music automatically raises the minimum noise level and causes everyone to raise their voices to where they are shouting at each other, even though they're sitting only three feet apart.
One of my fav ole NYC spots. Perfect for a quick cocktail and oysters or a cozy date night (sharing their celebrated steak au poivre. But what makes Raoul's such a standout is the warmth of their staff. Their genuine enthusiasm for their food, and for having you as a customer are evident every single time you go (and I'm hardly a regular - maybe once every few months) . Oh - I just discovered their burger au poivre (ground by hand each morning and the burgers are such demand that few are left by supper time. It's comes with a swoon-worthy dipping sauce, too. So go for brunch or lunch and bring your smelling salts.
Fantastic burger in terms of taste and portion. The sauce is what makes it great. Great party and cooked as desired (medium rare).
fabulous authentic french food worth travelling for
A NYC gem.... before SOHO became SOHO....
Hasn’t changed over the decades...
Friends in town
Dinner with wife. Every corse was on point. Seating is tight but comfortable.
New York gem...best steak au poivre in the city! A must for special occasions.
Great as always! The wonderful fresh fig appetizer is gone for the season but the tried-and-true grilled octopus is as excellent. What we were able to take advantage of (as we have done several times this season) were the soft shell crabs. Next time we'll be back to the famous steak and fries.
Great service, great time, great burgers, feels like Paris.
The best burger in NYC. An institution in SoHo for more than 40 years.
Always a great time. Too bad franco wasn’t there. I do have to say one thing though. I’ve seen this new house there’s a few times and she’s always very stern with the client customer. I don’t like to be told when I need to leave prior to even sitting down. My reservation was at 5:30 and I was going to leave by seven anyway and she made it a point to tell me that I had to get out of there by 730. I’m sure it was justBecause she had people coming after us but it’s never good enough to do that before I even sit down
There were no burgers this time 😢
We loved them. Everything else was great.
Fun, vibrant scene that has a long standing (over 40 years) history of excellent food in a hip Soho environment. Great place to celebrate my husbands birthday since he went there when it was a new restaurant over 40 years ago.
Raoul’s has outstanding food, wine, service and ambiance
Apps: crab very good. Oysters very good. Entree: steak over cooked over salted frites were not freshly made and over salted. Cod fish was also over salted. Dessert: profiteroles ice cream was not cold enough but it’s always fun to dine here
We had a fantastic dining experience. Service was stellar and the food was wonderful!
Amazing meal - of course the steak au poivre was perfection, but so was the entire meal. Great service, great meal, great vibe.
One of the best dining experiences my friend ever had oh his birthday. Great food, great experience.
Service was slow/distracted. We come here often and this isn’t typical.
The wait to sit with a reservation was one hour. We were off to a bad start but the staff gave us a complimentary round of drinks and tasty appetizers. We were pleased and impressed. The night was great but the wait was long. Would return and hopefully will be seated in a more timely manner.
The summer slump doesn’t affect Raoul’s: as busy, as efficient, as fabulous as always.
We’ve been going there for over 25 yrs never disappointed
