Raoul's will always be our favorite place. The staff and food (especially the burger) are the absolute best.
Great burgers. My neighborhood favorite!
I LOVE RAOUL'S! My husband and I meet for late dinners here and always roll home full, tipsy and elated. The service is really always outstanding. Everything from the bar/ host staff's greeting to the experience at the table makes us feel so well cared for; I find the interpersonal style of the team to be very direct, professional, and effective, but also always warm. This place is such a New York institution; it's an absolute privilege to enjoy it from time to time. Thanks to the whole damn team!
Amazing classic French style restaurant.
The food is exquisite and the atmosphere fantastic. It’s not for those looking for a quiet night out as noise levels are high but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Efficient staff, eclectic artwork and food so delicious that my mouth waters at the mere thought of it! Go!! It should be illegal not to!
Raoul’s is the best. It’s our regular go-to because while the food is really great (get the frisbee salad no matter what else you do)- the people are incredible and make you feel so welcome and at home. Plenty of celebrities come to this old school restaurant that has stayed popular for over 40 years but they treat everyone wonderfully and care more how you behave than who you are
Best steak au poivre ever, great Cosmo, fab music, cool scene. I will definitely return. Sometimes I look so hard for something new.... so glad I chose a classic to celebrate my husband’s 50th.
Tremendous spot. A+ food, service. Traditional and current. Love it. Rivals the best.
Great food, ambiance, service. Hands down our favorite restaurant in NYC.
One of the best burgers in town.
The food is great and good value. I like the ambiance a lot. Dark with a European feel. Waitstaff are all competent but there are big inconsistencies in servers.
Leaving nyc after 30 years and is my favorite restaurant in the city - the lovely helpful friendly and kind waitress made my night! Had all my favorites just didn’t love my table - but I loved my evening and my food
Favorite place for a long time. Love the food and atmosphere there
I consider Raoul's a Soho landmark. The food is always excellent and the art was curated over years of serving neighborhood artists. The atmosphere has a comfortable patina and the service is excellent.
We had a late lunch in prep for a show in the evening. The restaurant is small, the service is outstanding and the food is memorable. The steak au poive (their specialty) is not to be missed. Best I've ever had. Pricey and worth every penny! My wife chose the frisse salad which was also fantastic. The bartender is fun and quick with a unique take on a Bloody Mary. They're also known for their burger (a chopped take on the steak au poive) and a few people around us that had it were ooing and ahing.
A real Village experience. Enjoy. We'll be back.
I’m never disappointed!
And if you want Gr8 recommendations on the wine, ask for Andrew. He recommended a Bourgogne Dominique Lafon. Great choice. Thank You Andrew.
I tried the halibut over my usual streak au poivre and it was one of the best prepared halibuts I’ve had the pleasure to taste. If you love scallops, order them.
This classic New York joint is shockingly good.
Birthday Everyone that works there was so kind and fun and great service!
Our server was fantastic. We traveled from Omaha for a conference and were hopeful to meet the manager. Unfortunately, he was not working that evening. The food was excellent. I would recommend this wonderful experience.
Awesome burger, and the rest of the food. Sit at the bar!
Best burger I’ve ever had in my life!!!! And they sell the aupourve sauce to go :)
The steak au poivres is still great, but the steak itself seemed significantly smaller (and the price significantly higher) than it was on our last visit a couple of years ago
Absolutely perfect every single time! One my consistent go-tos.
Food was great! Roaul’s was recommended by a local NYC friend. It exceeded our expectations.
We love Raoul’s! Delicious steaks and oysters, great wine, sexy atmosphere, and a fun wait staff. It’s always a great night out on the town!
The accolades are all well-deserved but so are the comments about the noise level so just be prepared and avoid complaining. Not being able to converse with your companion comes with the territory. Everything on the menu is worth ordering and all the staff is excellent.
The initial interaction was negative. the hostess (seemingly intentionally) ignored is for several minutes when we arrived. Upon interaction, she warmed us immediately that our time at the table would be shortened. (We were late by 10 minutes). The wait staff made up for lack of warmth but she was a downer.
Would love an option to sit at the bar.
My favorite NYC spot.
Really noisy, so not the place to have a conversation. Tables are too close together and they attempt to serve too many people at one time, which is what contributes to the noise level. The food was good though.
An amazing classic spot without all the SOHO. Very underrated but can stand with the best. Last steak I had like that was in Burgundy! My friends from Sweden very much enjoyed every aspect as well.
Overall was very nice we called the morning of our reservation to add one more person to our table and were told no but when we arrived there were tables for 3 available
The atmosphere here is fantastic! Lots of people, lots of chatter, but intimate at the same time. Note that it is quite loud - not somewhere to take someone who's going to have a difficult time hearing, unless they love to people watch and won't be mad that they can't always participate in the conversation. The food was great - we didn't get the steak au poivre (which seemed to be what everyone else was getting), so next time! Highly recommend.
Raoul's is a great NYC restaurant. It has everything you could ask for in a dining experience. I love it!
Still and forever a favorite.
Very romantic and consistently outstanding.
Always such a treat.
Favorite restaurant in New York! I went here in the 80s and we recently went back with our son, now in his 20s. We had the classic steak frites. My husband loved the chicken. Our server was delightful. Only downside is the rare and medium rare got mixed up when I questioned the order and we switched. But otherwise everything was perfect. Love the booth in the second room which makes it quieter. It is a lot more expensive than it was in the eighties but very good.
Birthday for our 13 year old soon. Very accommodating staff
