At each visit, the Rao's family wants it to feel as if yours is the only table in the room. The impeccable Southern Italian fare stems from the dishes; high-quality ingredients, such as house-roasted red peppers, freshly grated Pecorino-Romano and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheeses, Felipo Berio olive oil and certified San Marzano plum tomatoes imported from Italy. For more than 115 years, that's the way the family has cooked in their iconic New York kitchen, and tradition is alive and well at their Las Vegas restaurant.

Did not live up to expectations. Far better Italian food can be found elsewhere.
Very disappointed- I buy Rao’s bottled sauce which is terrific. We are from cleveland and were looking forward to this exclusive Italian Restaurant-we even heard the hist rescheduling guests because someone rented the entire restaurant for a private party on a Sunday in October so we thought it was going to be good. High priced Which we knew going in, they brought us a very over cooked seafood platter of calamari shrimp and cod with zucchini sticks we had them remove it from our bill I can’t even believe they brought it out to us cooked at fashion period we’ve had calamari all over the United States and this was by far the worst. I hate to even give this place a terrible review the service was terrific but the food was just very subpar the cup spaghetti Bolognese tasted like chef boyardee
$44 for a chicken Parmesan that was over cooked and nothing more special than other nice Italian restaurants. Parmesan cheese was grated not freshly shaved. For $44!
Service was slow for not being very busy and having people stand around and watch you eat looking for something to do.
Waiter Spilt quite a bit water on our table when pouring and didn’t even try and dry it up. Then took away our extra napkin.
Paid $5 for 2 small pieces of bread and Parmesan crisps. Even other nice restaurants don’t make you pay for basic bread.
Positives were that rootbeer was delicious. Restaurant was beautiful. Sauce was good. Cesar salad was good.
Great food, great customer service but it’s just too dark in there. Had to use my cell phone flashlight so I could see the menu.
We have been to Rao's several times in the last few years. This time it didn't seem quite up to par as far as the food goes. The service was very good.....just not great as in the past. It was fairly noisy and that affected the ambiance.
The food and servers were fantastic.
I appreciate confident servers with strong personalities. Once we all warmed up we together the experience was amazing.
The only reason for my rating was due to the people around us. I was hoping for a little more fine donning then one screaming table and the other falling over drink with those stupid hurricane glasses… had to move tables at one point.
No fault of the restaurant but there was a lot of people that made the overall experience not what I was hoping.
But but but. The food. Great the servers wonderful so guess they can’t control the crowd sometimes.
I’d go back again just to get the experienced Italian server and smooth younger server we had just to talk to them and get great food.
Menu seems extremely limited and extremely over priced. When did Rao’s become Buca Di Beppo with Steak options? Huge disappointment compared to having been there years ago. This place is at least twice as expensive as what it should be for the quality of the Italian food. Leads me to believe the original family is no longer involved with the Vegas location. Truly a shame for such an Italian institution that Vegas was fortunate to import from Harlem.
Excellent as always. My favorite spot to eat most definitely. Any and every worthy occasion I can think of would be there for me.
Disappointed in my Bolognese.
One of my favorite restaurants in the world!
I ordered a Caesar salad and meat balls. The Caesar salad was my fav. Service was extremely fast which was surprisingly awesome
Oh no, what happened to Rao’s??
This Italian restaurant has the nerve to charge $4.50 for a basket of bread, which consists of 2 rolls and 2 flatbread crackers. For our table of four adults. I’ve traveled all over the world and never had to pay for table bread. This Italian restaurant will not accommodate a small request for a dollop of ricotta cheese for the pasta?
Our waiter actually told us that the chef doesn’t change any of the recipes. We did not ask the chef to change anything, we just asked for a spoonful of ricotta , on the side, to go with the pasta.
The waiter had the manager come to our table and she told us that they don’t have any ricotta?
Does that mean the lasagna, the raviolis or cannolis, that are on the menu are not freshly made??
I have to say both the waiter and manager were so rude we considered leaving, but we stayed and toughed it out in a hostile environment.
We have been to Raos’s many times, but will never be back again.
Frank Pellegrino would be very disappointed if he knew what his beautiful intimate restaurant has turned into.
Staff was great! Atmosphere was beautiful, however our main entrees were not as good as we expected. Thank goodness we filled up on bread & appetizers.
Los platillos insignia no son espectaculares. Falta sazón
Had a small group in town for a convention, this was a great place to entertain customers. Great food, great people and delicious food.
The restaurant is tired and needs a makeover or total remodel. Service was okay nothing special, menu is bland and nothing more then a money grab. Rao’s doesn’t stand up to the new players in Vegas anymore. Amalfi is the new Caesars hot spot and has better pasta, ambiance and service. Pass on Rao’s until changes are made.
The Veal Parm is still not on the limited menu, so Chicken Parm is my go to. The meatballs starter is awesome...and don't forget to dip the Italian bread into the leftover marinara. Not a wine drinker, but the liquor pours are generous. Share your dishes and tuck your napkin in your collar...just like my mother's Sunday dinners in NYC.
The food is still superior at Rao’s. Fried green tomato salad, meatballs, linguini carbonara were all fabulous. The menu is somewhat limited and quite a few items are currently out of stock due to the pandemic, but this is commonplace for the time being. Service was impeccable. A wonderful experience, but again, due to the pandemic, prices, especially wine, are very high. Dinner for two with a bottle of wine was $200, but well worth it for a special occasion.
If you are looking for an old-school Italian meal, you will love it. Staff is friendly, had a wonderful time.
Great food, service. We had a great time. It was perfect.
It's a little pricey but the food was great. My only disappointment was in the bread basket. If I'm paying for bread, it should be exceptional and this bread was not. Excellent meatballs and 'gravy'...the Frutti di Mare was exceptional. If you like lemon, go for the lemon chicken, it's tart and sassy with Italian spices. All in all, a great meal.
The menu is a bit limited yet they were out of ravioli purses at 6pm on a Friday night. However, the service was exceptional, and although Ive read negative reviews about the chicken parm, the two they had it in our party of 6 said it was very good, as was my penne with vodka sauce
Incredible! Loved it. Meatballs made with veal, pork, and beef — it’s exceptional!
Wonderful food and service. We enjoyed the experience very much
This was the best food I have had in Las Vegas from 1989 to 2021.
I understand restaurants needing to make money, but the prices at Rao’s are out of range with the food. The crab carbonara came with little to no discernible crab meat. The waiter assured us that the salad was not a big portion, but trust me it easily served 2, if not 3 people. I felt gauged and this is the last time we’ll go to Rao’s. Not worth the $&
Food was good. Restaurant was too quiet no background music.
Great experience. We noted on our reservation that it was our anniversary and no one acknowledged it. Don’t ask if you are not going to do anything with the information.
Amazing meal and service as usual! It was my fiancé’s birthday, so they brought out a slice of cheesecake. Such a nice surprise! Will be back again! AMAZING MEAL!!
Amazing food ...always love going to Raos!! Our server was not as attentive as we had to continuously ask for drink refills. Other servers assisted graciously.
A must dine location if you're in town. This is my new favorite Italian Restaurant.
An amazing experience. Can’t make it to New York, come to Vegas. So much to see on the walls so get there early. Cocktails, the wine and the food was great
I consider Rao's to be my "birthday place." I always order the Peasant Purses, and I really look forward to it. This year, however, the meal was a bit of a disappointment. My entree was more like Peasant Soup, as there was almost as much browned butter in the dish as there were ravioli. Even more disappointing, the pear filing of the ravioli was very gritty. It had never been in the past. Maybe the chef was having an off-night, I don't know. I just know my meal wasn't nearly as good as it had always been in the past. The service, tho, was excellent.
Birthday celebration. They never mentioned the birthday
No candles for our birthday celebration and the dessert the brought us (canavali) was really bad
We’ve always dined at Rao’s but we’re disappointed this time around.
1. Menu options have been reduced. No more veal piccata plus other favorites.
2. The gal waitress didn’t tell us about the fish special- we had to track her down to ask.
3. I wanted to order a particular type of gin and she said they carried it. A few minutes later she came back snd said they ran out.
4. The Caesar salad was so so. Very bland.
5. The lasagne which is normally great, was just a medium temp in the middle. Not served hot.
All in all a bit disappointing and not up to normal standards & expectations..
The pasta was undercooked and the chicken Parma tasted like it was a day old. Vodka sauce was great
We eat at Rao’s every time we are in Las Vegas. I couldn’t wait to go again. This time was disappointing. The Mozzarella en Carrozza was delicious but the dish was small. The meatballs were outstanding. The biggest disappointment was the chicken parmigiana. Overpriced and over cooked… barely edible. That being said, I haven’t given up on them yet and will return at some point in the future.
The food was just OK for the price. We were seat next to coughing people, and there several open tables, no distancing.
At first I was surprised by the limited menu. My son though asked for something that was not on the menu. The staff accommodated his request though. Basically, he asked for an appetizer to be served with pasta as his entree.
