Italian
Perfect For:
  • Special Occasion
  • Good for a Date
  • Authentic

At each visit, the Rao's family wants it to feel as if yours is the only table in the room. The impeccable Southern Italian fare stems from the dishes' high-quality ingredients, such as house-roasted red peppers, freshly grated Pecorino-Romano and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheeses, Felipo Berio olive oil and certified San Marzano plum tomatoes imported from Italy. For more than 115 years, that's the way the family has cooked in their iconic New York kitchen, and tradition is alive and well at their Las Vegas restaurant.

The time-honored staples include perfectly cooked pastas, risottos and the mouthwatering steak bistecca; cooked perfectly and sliced tableside. The classic veal chop is pan-seared and topped with a medley of hot and sweet cherry peppers.

The hostess politely asked me to remove my hat, which was fine. BUT seated right after my girlfriend and I was a terrible looking young woman (see cash me outside girl) literally wearing a sports bra, a zip up hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants. Not only that, she was making a scene about not getting seated in a booth etc... mean while just in an effing sports bra. I hate this place and will never ever go back, let alone step foot in Caesars palace again.

Came to try the meatballs and they were exceptional. Also enjoyed the Veal (chop) Parmigiana which was good but a little over-cooked and not as tender as it could have been. The side of spaghetti Bolognese was just okay. The cannoli for dessert was good and a nice way to end the meal. I will be back, but mostly to make a meal out of the meatballs.

Friendly service, fun to dine ‘outside’ and people watch. The Caesar salad was delicious and we restenjoyour spaghetti and meatballs. The tiramisu was delicious!

The food was terrific, authentic “red sauce” Italian. The portions were certainly filling, even for a big eater like me. Excellent wine options. Service was spot on.

We have been here several time and enjoyed it every time. The bartenders couldn’t do enough for you, and the servers went out of their way to make it a pleasant experience. As a matter of fact, we have reservations for tonight. I asked for our favorite waiter, Matt. He has taken care of us for the last three years. He helped us with our choices and was very knowledgeable with recommendations.

We had a wonderful time as our daughter and fiancé flew in from LA to meet us for dinner. The great service made the “get together” even more special. The food was what I would describe as family style Italian slightly elevated. While every dish we had was good or very good, no dish stood out as truly special or memorable. I say this in the context of the pricing where you expect the food to be exceptional. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our meals and the time together.

Nice meal.
Waiter was great.
Typical Vegas highly over inflated prices and all a la carte.

Post dinner de-cat coffee was horrible. Warm and really really old. Not drinkable.

Sauce tastes like it has Thai Basil, way overpriced and wine didn’t get the same assorted bread basket as every other table without asking and being made to feel like they were doing a favor for us.

We came because Rao’s sauce is the best on the market...& considering the difficulty to eat at their NYC location this was the next best option. We were not disappointed! The meatballs, osso bucco were the best we’ve ever had. Our server was great! Would definitely come back again..or if the miracle of all miracles occur& we get to eat in NYC!!
Thank you Rao’s!!

I love the Rao's cookbooks and cook from them all the time but usually add my own twist. Robert the bartender took good care of me as usual. I ordered the bone-in veal parm with a small side of spaghetti in bolognese sauce. It was very good. Being I'm from Chicago I was missing giardiniera though which they did not have. It goes on anything red sauce Italian I eat. That's the only thing I found lacking but most people outside of the Chicagoland area are unaware of what that is and understandable. Great place, I always love coming here.

Rao's has past it's prime. We have eaten there three times before and now it feels tired. Service was lack luster, food OK and that's not good at these prices. We will not be returning.

Disappointing. We’ve been a big fan of Rao’s for years, even buying their sauces and pasta direct from their NYC location. We were so disappointed to find that they have dropped items from their long-time menu, including my favorite pasta with ham and peas. My companion had expected to order his usual eggplant parm, but the waiter steered him away by disclosing that it really wasn’t the dish we had always gotten in the past, rather they now just dust the eggplant in flour and grill it. No more crispy and breaded like it should be. And the service really wasn’t up to par, slow even though the place wasn’t very busy, and with the waiter returning to the table quite some time later to help him decipher his notes on what we had ordered. The most positive comment is they haven’t changed their meatballs, which are fantastic. Won’t go back to this location —- too many great options in Vegas.
