At each visit, the Rao's family wants it to feel as if yours is the only table in the room. The impeccable Southern Italian fare stems from the dishes; high-quality ingredients, such as house-roasted red peppers, freshly grated Pecorino-Romano and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheeses, Felipo Berio olive oil and certified San Marzano plum tomatoes imported from Italy. For more than 115 years, that's the way the family has cooked in their iconic New York kitchen, and tradition is alive and well at their Las Vegas restaurant.

First time experience and the food was everything we hoped for. The host was sweet and fun to talk. The only disappointing thing was the service. We would still go back for sure!
Twenty dollars for a reservation and to add insult further they sat us in the bar area.
Bread, costs five dollars.
No veal on the menu!
Two meatballs, $21. crazy price.
Waiter Robert, very good.
Ambiance nice, shows past glories of this famous place,
but in light of the bad noted above, a visit is not worth seeing a picture on the wall of a Soprano’s actor.
Recommendation, try something else.
Good was fantastic, service was excellent. We will be back and will also buy sauce in market.
Very disappointed in the menu. According to our waiter, veal is one of their top sellers but they don’t have it. Always a go to when visiting Vegas. Will think again next time.
Food was cold, chicken parmigiana.
Had to pay for bread.
We have tried to go to original location in NYC, but it is virtually impossible to book a reservation there. Decided to try the Vegas location. Food and service were excellent. The cannoli was among the best that I ever had. Good wine collection. A bit disappointed with Cappuccino, but overall an excellent experience. A bit pricey, though. NY prices?
Food was ok nothing special. Waiters seemed annoyed and in rush even though their wasn’t that many people there
Great. Everyone is nice and food was excellent. Beautiful surroundings.
The food was cold and came out premade. We ordered and within 5 minutes the food came out
Great staff and good classics , but for the cost I was expecting amazing.
Excellent service and food was delicious! Price point however is over priced!!
The reviews I read did not match the quality and taste of the food. We were disappointed with the taste of the food, especially considering the price of the food. Will not return.
The food wasn't necessarily the worst ever, but it wasn't much better than you'd get at a chain restaurant. Not worth the price we paid.
Everything about our experience was amazing! The service was excellent and the food was delicious! The meatballs are a must have!
We were very excited to try this place as we are big fans of Rao's sauces and soups. The restaurant ambiance was fine and they followed all the COVID safety protocol - no issues there. We had a party of 5 and were celebrating my daughter's birthday. We started off with an order of meatballs and fried green tomato caprese. The caprese was very good but the meatballs were just ok. That was a bit disappointing since they are supposedly "world famous". It didn't help the fact that the cost was $21 for two medium meatballs. If they were outstanding, I wouldn't mind so much. My daughter had the tomato bisque soup and I had a caesar salad. Both starters were bland and were nothing special. The quantity was also lacking. For the entrees, we ordered a spaghetti bolognese, a filet, a seafood dish, penne vodka and I ordered the special of the day, spinach ravioli in bolognese sauce. Overall, the food was ok - certainly not bad, but not worth the amount spent. The best dish was the spaghetti bolognese - all the others were satisfactory. The service was very good and everyone was friendly - they even brought out a cannoli for my daughter's birthday. Again, I fully understood that this is a fancy place located within a major casino/tourist area and was fully prepared to pay the price; however, I have dined at many other Strip restaurants and had fantastic food. Unfortunately, Rao's did not impress.
Rao's is authentic Italian food. I've been to Italy a few times so I believe I know what Italian food should taste like. The food at Rao's never disappoint. I had dinner there with friends on Friday 4/2/21 and came back the next day 4/3/21 with family. The service at this establishment is top notch.
We had three sisters go and we all ordered some thing different
It was amazing. It was such an experience it was on our bucket list. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating and pleasant.
Food was just ok. Nothing special , wine quality was poor. So many Italian better places to eat . Service was amazing. They charge for extra sauce. So ridiculous. Not worth it at all. Over value themselves as a restaurant.
We had a surprise reunion with our children. It made a very special occasion even better. The wait staff was outstanding. They participated in the surprise and we are very appreciative of their efforts. Thank you all so much!
Eat the lemon chicken!!! Definitely recommend it.
We truly enjoyed all the food, Hight recommend Rao,
Expensive disgusting Italian food. I would not suggest this to anyone.
So where to begin. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday. She chose Rao’s for her first choice to celebrate. After we arrived it was clear that the restaurant was short staffed. There were very few customers and we had wait for someone to greet us and seat us. We assumed, due to Covid, that there would be outdoor seating available, but were told only indoors was available. Our server told us that they were running short staffed. That became more evident as we had trouble with service all evening, from ordering, to food delivery, to follow up, it was all poorly executed. On a positive note our server was very nice, apologetic and aware of the issues but management was not really proactive.
The food: The menu was about 1/3 of the normal menu. There should have been some sort of alert in reservation system. My wife had wanted the eggplant parm as her go to but it wasn’t available in the diminished menu. we started with Caesar salad, that we chose to split. The kitchen would not split it for us. It was dropped in the middle of the table with three plates and extra utensils. We were told to split it ourselves. My wife and our friend both ordered pasta. The quality of both was about 7-8. I ordered my favorite, the pork chop agrodolce. I ordered it medium. We waited for our food long enough to notice it was taking a long time. When my dish arrived it was cooked well done and cut like a piece of shoe leather. I called the server over. She offered to have it remade but I didn’t want to keep my companions waiting so I asked if the chicken parm was faster. I was told it would be out shortly. It did arrive fairly promptly, but it was inedible. Gristly, par cooked, mushy. I sent it back and just decided to cut our losses. The server apologized and offered to buy us dessert. She recommended the cheesecake. Unfortunately it had an overwhelming flavor of almond extract which none of us enjoyed. Again the server was apologetic but management never came to talk to us.
The well done rib eye order is rubbery , burnt like .
Got to ask steak sauce twice , not even offered in anticipation .. menu doesn’t come with even mash potatoe or veggie ...
Really good food thanks
Great tasting food hidden in the Caesar’s palace. Harder to find but well worth it. I love Italian and this food was great highly recommended to visit
Food was great. Reason for lower rating was we were very rushed and we sat outside where everyone was walking by. We had the food within minutes after ordering. All tasted good you have to question the freshness if you get it that fast. No bread, salad, anything, just 4 plates with pasta and waters... I would go back, just would ask to sit inside and ask to not rush the process.
Way too expensive for what it actually is. Over priced
Great service went in for our anniversary and it was amazing food was so good. Best italian ive had in years. Awesome waiter and I just loves how peaceful and quite it was for my husband and i
Very nice. Meatballs are a must when dining here.
It wasn’t anything special. A basic Italian restaurant that didn’t jump out at you but the price deffinitly did. A lot of better options than this place.
Hostess told us to wait by the podium for 5 minutes while they prepare the table for our 730 reservation. We got there at 728. 25 minutes later and we still didn’t get called but several people were being seated right away. So my husband approached the hostess to find out. The hostess marked us as no show without any explanation. She was not apologetic and didn’t act like it was a big deal. We requested to speak with the manager who was apologetic and comp us cocktails. It ruined the experience. Food was good. Rao is an upscale restaurant but the experience definitely was not.
Excellent food! A variety of menu options for all tastes.
Great customer service. Food came fast. Appetizers were great.(Caesar salad and mozzarella sandwich)
Entrees was not that good. (Chicken parm and carbonara).
The lemon chicken was very good and plenty of it. Service and the ambiance are excellent!
I have bought only Rao's pasta sauce for the last few years and when I found out Raos was in Vegas, it instantly became a must go when I got here. I reserved a table easily and reviewed the menu. Knowing how $$ the sauce is in the grocery store I was expecting the restaurant to be pricey and indeed it was. But the food was phenomenal. The meatballs tasted just like my mom's homemade ones which nowhere has even come close to matching and the chicken parm, omg, best I've ever had. Definitely worth splurging on!!!
The food was subpar and over priced. We’ve had a better chicken parmigiana at Olive Garden. The only saving grace were the meatballs.
I was there with my wife for our anniversary beautiful atmosphere beautiful people would recommend that to many many people
Meatballs a must, pene vodka was delicious, waiter was wonderful and it was one of the best meals I had in vegas. Portions aren't overly large which is what I wanted, no multiple boxes to drag to our room. Just a great place.
Extremely disappointed with my most recent visit to Rao’s. Now, i’m not sure if this has to do with COVID or not, but for the time being, I would definitely stay away from Rao’s. Actually, I would say to just stay away from Vegas for the time being, until COVID is completely done with.
Anyways, back to Rao’s. Rao’s is one of, if not our favorite place to eat while we’re out in Vegas. We’ve been coming to Vegas since the early 90’s, and i’m a 7 star rewards member with Harrah’s. We’ve eaten at all the signature restaurant’s on all the Harrah’s properties, and Rao’s was always right up there with my favorite. However, over the past few years that we’ve come out to Vegas (we come out 1-2 times a year) it started to slightly get worse and worse, but nothing crazy to make it to where I wouldn’t want to eat there anymore.
However, after this most recent time, i’m not sure if I want to eat there again. The menu was probably 15%-20% of what the normal menu is. They blamed this on ‘COVID’. Fine, I get it. I understand that these hotels and restaurant’s are going to milk the whole COVID thing for every thing they can, however, this resulted in the menu being absolutely pathetic. Like i’m talking straight up pathetic. And the pricing on the few items they had on the menu were ridiculously inflated. I’m talking ridiculously outrageously inflated.
So we ended up asking for bread, and they ‘ran out of bread’. The whole experience was just a disaster, and while the service wasn’t bad, the best service in the world couldn’t make up for all the shortcomings.
Long story short, Rao’s seems to be slowly but surely going down the drain, and considering my last 4 trips there have consecutively gotten worse, with this most recent trip there being an absolute joke, there’s no way in the world I could recommend anyone to eat here.
Best Italian food in Las Vegas. Staff is very friendly, food comes fast, hot and delicious!
