Rao's - Caesars Palace Las Vegas
At each visit, the Rao's family wants it to feel as if yours is the only table in the room. The impeccable Southern Italian fare stems from the dishes' high-quality ingredients, such as house-roasted red peppers, freshly grated Pecorino-Romano and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheeses, Felipo Berio olive oil and certified San Marzano plum tomatoes imported from Italy. For more than 115 years, that's the way the family has cooked in their iconic New York kitchen, and tradition is alive and well at their Las Vegas restaurant.
The time-honored staples include perfectly cooked pastas, risottos and the mouthwatering steak bistecca; cooked perfectly and sliced tableside. The classic veal chop is pan-seared and topped with a medley of hot and sweet cherry peppers.

Lovely restaurant, food was good just not great. I had the clam linguine and it was good just no wow. I’ve had clam linguine other places where it was amazing.
My favorite restaurant in the world. Live in Los Angeles and frequent that location. Best Italian food you can get...
I have been to Rao’s several times, and this will have likely been my last. While the feed is great, the service leaves a lot to be desired. We had to ask for utensils and bread plates more than once, our starter came out well before our drinks, and our waiter was just generally MIA throughout the meal.
The food was excellent especially the meatballs. The service was very good and the atmosphere in the restaurant was first rate
The food overall was good but the price was excessive. I get I was in Vegas eating at Caesar’s palace. However, I feel like I have eaten at many other restaurants where I have ordered similar entrees and the food was just as good if nand I paid at least have the price. I love food and I don’t mind paying for good found but when the bill comes out to $84 (Penne with vodka sauce, tomato soup with one cheese stick and one glass of rose) for one person that is a lot. I probably would go back. I feel like I could have had just as a good of meal if not better somewhere else and not paid that price point.
My original order came out cold. They replaced it but otherwise it was fine.
Vegas trip with HS friends. Three couples, excellent time!
We had dinner on a weekend night before a show. The food was delicious and the service was very good, too. Will definitely go back.
We took our friends who had not been there before. They really thought the food was terrific! We will be eating at Rao's again.
Great food. Meatballs was outstanding.
Excellent dinner!!! Get the meatballs for an appetizer....you won't regret it. Our serving team was fabulous.
After almost 49 years of marriage, we can still date. Right?
Our recent meal at Rao's was extremely disappointing. We had the shrimp scampi. It was served lukewarm and tasteless. Will not go back there again as this is the second time we have not had a good experience.
The food was mediocre at best- my wife’s meatballs were mushy and my pasta was just okay
Been there many times. Always eat at the bar. Rene works the bar and is AWESOME.
Food was cold. Server disappeared for huge chunks of time. Spent $800 and won’t be back.
First time dining at Rao’s, overall I was good but I was expecting to be more wow’ed! Meatball appetizer was cold and the linguine with white clams sauce was ho-hum. The restaurant was built up to ‘amazing’ status, it was good but far from amazing. Would I go back, I would but with lower expectations.
This place is a glorified Buca Di Beppo. Just so average and boring. Nothing special at all. Maybe, maybe if I were stopping in for a quick bite with friends or a super casual dinner with my husband it would be ok. The food isn’t anything spectacular. People wear anything from sandals and T-shirt’s to blazers (not many though). $31 for Penne Vodka was insane and about double what it should be priced at for this place. But, it’s Vegas. Do not come here for a romantic dinner. For my reviews I always like to put my favorite restaurants so you can know my tastes: Nobu, Tao, The Mark NY, Gibson’s Chicago, and the like.
All of the food we had was amazing! We split a Caesar salad, linguini carbonara, and chicken marsala with sautéed zucchini. Would highly recommend any and all of these dishes. The bottle of wine we had was great too and reasonably priced. Our server was very attentive. Overall, great meal, I would definitely go back.
Loved the beet salad.
Wasn't what we expected unfortunately. Starting with the before dinner drinks and thereafter with the food. While the veal marsala was tasty for my better half, the lasagna and seafood salad were a disappointment. Not anywheres the same as the RAO's in Hollywood.
Food was decent, but not exceptional. Ambiance for patio dining was nice and more pleasant than inside tables.
Rao's is a classic. Neat crisp dining area, great red sauce and a lot of nostalgia
I had the rigatoni and meatballs and it was awesome
the veal parm is amazing too
the standout however, was our server, John
Fantastic family dinner celebrating our son’s 21st birthday in Vegas. Everything was perfect.
Irrhday celebration for me—great food and service!
We go here every year we are in Vegas for a convention. Always great food and service. Good atmosphere and a great place for groups of 8-10.
We had an extremely disappointing meal at Rao’s. The veal Marsala was inedible and the veal chop had no flavor. We had peppers and mozzarella and both had stomach pains after dinner. It certainly is not up to the NYversion
Old world charm. Sat next to a group of Italians that could have been in a movie. Best meat balls ever.
Very disappointing! We have dined previously and had a wonderful experience. The veal Parmesan was awful and we had to send it back. The seafood salad was almost all calamari, disappointing. The meatballs had a very pungent flavor. So different from our prior experience. We would not return.
Service was slow. Wasn’t impressed with the food. Not worth the price.
Rao’s was excellent all the way food, service atmosphere magnificent had the opportunity to take a picture with the owner a terrific a very nice host great to speak with we always come to Rao’s when in town the four of us loved everything about Rao’s.
Matballs were amazing
Very overpriced! Definitely not worth it. Chicken Parmesan was over cooked and very dry and tasteless!
Angela our waitress was a doll. Food came out quickly. Very delicious. Expensive but expected from Vegas
We shared the beet salad (good) and the spaghetti with meat sauce (exceptional) and the lasagna (too rich for us because of the ricotta).
We were full after the bread and yummy red bell pepper butter (yay! Free!), salad and spaghetti so we weren't too mad about the lasagne. We had enough to taste, which was very good flavor-wise, and be satisfied.
We'll be back to try the chicken dishes - our waiter suggested the scallapini over the renowned lemon chicken which I found interesting.
Simply the BEST
Great food and great service. Very attentive staff and the food was served nice and hot
My wife and I celebrated my 55th birthday at Rao’s and everything was wonderful. We enjoyed our soup appetizer followed by Beef Lasagna then Veal Marsala, all perfectly prepared and well-presented. The staff surprised me with an ice cream dessert. Memorable meal.
