Rao's - Caesars Palace Las Vegas
At each visit, the Rao's family wants it to feel as if yours is the only table in the room. The impeccable Southern Italian fare stems from the dishes' high-quality ingredients, such as house-roasted red peppers, freshly grated Pecorino-Romano and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheeses, Felipo Berio olive oil and certified San Marzano plum tomatoes imported from Italy. For more than 115 years, that's the way the family has cooked in their iconic New York kitchen, and tradition is alive and well at their Las Vegas restaurant.
The time-honored staples include perfectly cooked pastas, risottos and the mouthwatering steak bistecca; cooked perfectly and sliced tableside. The classic veal chop is pan-seared and topped with a medley of hot and sweet cherry peppers.

Food was excellent. Server was phenomenal
The food was amazing. It was the best eggplant Parmesan I’ve ever eaten. The size could feed three people. The sauce reminded me of my Mom’s. We were lucky enough to be seated in the replica room and have Howie as our server. He made our evening and was my highlight of my trip.
Amazing food and fantastic service once again. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys Italian.
Excellent service and great food! Must stop for those looking for a "New York" experience in Las Vegas.
Table of 12. Service was excellent. A bit shy on large format wine offerings.
4th time visitor to Rao's Las Vegas. Excellent meal overall. All 3 of us had different entrees and shared wine and it was excellent! Can't wait to return on our next Vegas adventure.
Great food, Great service, Waiter and staff very efficient .Explained everything about the dishes that we ordered. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone who visits Las Vegas.
The food was amazing, the service was incredible, and for a Vegas restaurant it was quiet and relaxed.
The table where we were seated was awful. Just outside the bar as you entered one of dining rooms and noise level was bad. We were with new friends and conversation was extremely difficult. Very disappointing.
Best Italian around. The meatballs are something e Euronext needs to try. Pasta is great. Veal is as good as it gets.
Delicious food, outstanding service, what else is there to say?
We'll probably never get into Rao's in New York, but this Rao's in Las Vegas was excellent. Ravioli purses, which we shared, was a terrific starter and my salmon and my wife's lamb chops were perfectly prepared. Making it even better was our server, Gerard. If there is a more helpful, engaging, and professional, server, I don't think I've met him or her.
I have eaten at the best Italian places in the world and this doesn't even come close. The place was like being at Olive Garden . In fast the food was on par with OG. The mozzarella and prosciutto had no taste . The chicken parmigiana and the penne were ok but the sauce was nothing to write home about. I really expected a much better meal for a place with a supposed reputation as Rao's.
Great night. Good food, Very good service and they even presented us with a dessert to recognize our anniversary !
Great Food and service. Had the clams and pasta it was outstanding.
With so many great restaurants on the Strip we expected this to be so much better. The food was ok at best and the portions given the prices were very poor. The fried Mozzarella appetizer was just bad, mostly breading with very little cheese. The entrees were not much better my veal entree was such a small portion our waiter should have told us put our hands up as he was about to rob us. We won't be back even though we always stay at Caesars. So many better options to choose from in Caesars. Don't waste your time or money here.
If your Celiac like me choices here are very very limited so it’s just not worth the visit, especially because everything around you smells so good and you can’t have it.
Amazing food and service.
The booth was a little hard to get in and out of. The food as usual was excellent. Service was a little spotty, which was unusual but Vegas seemed extra busy and the restaurant was full at the first seating. Highly recommend.
Wonderful dining experience: Great service and atmosphere, best shrimp scampi I've ever had, and the meatballs were to DIE for. Our sweet waiter told us about the original Rao's in Harlem/NYC, which has only 10 tables and is invitation-only by people who "own" the tables. Our family is going to New York in December and I so wish we could eat there! Just wonderful....
Sooooooo AMAZING!!!! A must when you visit Vegas
Pasta bolognese was delicious. I’d recommended this place over many of the other Italian dining options. The service was okay. Don’t expect fresh bread or focaccia.
The food is old school Italian
It’s a special day when you can eat her
I’m still waiting for a seat in New York
Our experience was top notch.
Love the food and service was on point. Thank you so much for making our first experience wonderful.
Service was excellent and food was classic Italian. Their marinara sauce is the best!
Where do I start? Unfortunately I didn’t give the restaurant or staff the opportunity to make corrections or make it better because we were tired.
My best friend & I made reservations to Rao after a concert also in Caesars Palace. Friend orders wine. My friend didn’t make it clear that she wanted a bottle & waiter didn’t ask if she wanted glass or bottle. After glass is brought out, my friend said she meant the bottle. Waiter states he needs the number associated with the bottle. Without the Wine List, we don’t have a number to give. Waiter just stands there. My friend says, “well I don’t know the number. Please bring me the Wine List again.” I’m not sure if this is normal when you order wine, as we’ve never been asked that before. My friend felt waiter was condescending. While we wait, there’s not a lot of people in the restaurant at 9:45pm but there’s a table of two gentlemen across the way & he was speaking & laughing so loud for a dimmed & nice restaurant. Again, just brushed it off & endured. Ordered blue crab carbonara and wasn’t too impressed. It was salty and not much crab in the meal. My friend’s osso buco was ok according to her. Experience was meh.
Great place in Vegas for Italian food. Large portions that are superbly cooked. A bit expensive especially for glasses or bottles of wine. Hard to get out for less than $200 per couple. Great for a very special occasion.
It's the Bronx, but this place is good. The Crab Carbonara was amazing! Service is great.
The service was excellent, the food was pretty good. The pricing was in line with what I would expect in a restaurant in Vegas.
A very pleasant experience. Our food was attractive and delicious. Service was particularly pleasant, timely, and helpful. Once a nearby table of rather noisy people left, the ambiance was very pleasant and calm. It's not "cheap thrills," but by Las Vegas good-restaurant standards, it is reasonable. We very much enjoyed our visit and plan to go back when our travels take us again to Caesar's Palace.
Unprepared for our reservation. Rigged two tables to seat 8. Great meatballs. Rest of menu was pretty much Olive Garden. Ok but nothing special. Seems like nice staff with absent manager.
Lemon chicken was very good. Bolognese sauce was disappointing. Very skimpy on a tomato base. Just ground beef with a hint of sauce.
The food was mediocre and very overpriced. $44 for chicken parmigiana is outrageous! At that price portions should be generous and ours were not. Very disappointed.
The proof of an excellent restaurant is “will you go again & do you tell your friends to go” we will do both
What a gem. We were in the little back room (12 tables). Great food, great wine and we loved the ambiance of the place. Great spot to disconnect from the chaos of the casino for a bit. So happy we found it. We will be back. Try the fried green tomatoes they will not disappoint
I enjoy the dining out experience. When the food arrives at the table in 2 minutes it’s like being told, “Here’s your food. Hurry up and eat and give us your money.” I get it. It’s Vegas. It’s busy, but if I wanted fast I’d have gone to McDonals’s.
Delicious italian food
Always great food and great service- a must when I am in Vegas
