Rangoli - NYC
We had a fantastic experience at Rangoli. I already knew that the food is good, and this time wasn't an exception. The service was superb. We learned that all the beautiful lamps are hand made and imported from India. This detail clearly demonstrates the passion of the owner for their work that is transferred to the food, the drinks, and the ambience. I certainly recommend Rangoli highly. I'm sure you won't regret it.
The service food and ambience are consistently good.
Both the ghost lamb and the Goan shrimp dishes were excellent. The service was efficient and amicable. A very enjoyable dinner. We shall return.
great Indian food although, the vegetable kofta could have been warmer inside. the sauce was steaming. second time here in a month. I will be back. place was empty. no idea why.
Fabulous experience... the service is great and the food is even better!
Excellent food and excellent service. The food is very authentic and is made to meet your needs and wishes. Portions are substantial. The owner is always there and always concerned that you have a very positive dining experience. He will gladly explain how the food is prepared and will make sure that your dietary needs are met. Rangoli is a dependable, enjoyable place to dine and I look forward to my next visit.
The food was great, good service, nice atmosphire
It's nice to have authentic Indian food north of Curry Hill. A great place for delicious, flavorful Indian dishes with a much broader menu than most places down town. Waiters and staff are very friendly.
The food at Rangoli goes above and beyond what you’d expect from Indian cuisine in a veritable hole-in-the-wall to something innovative and unexpected. From handling classics such as chicken makhani to forays into dishes with homemade peanut sauce, Rangoli delivers on many levels.
My only negative comment about Rangoli is that we were never offered tea or coffee before the check was brought to the table. This has happened several times and so perhaps tea/coffee is simply not available.
Otherwise, the food is delicious, the service is impeccable and the restaurant is very quiet, making conversation a pleasure.
The food was very tasty and the service quite attentive. This was the first time we actually dined there as we typically order for pick-up. The food is even better.
My girlfriend was visiting and had never had Indian food; she was very pleased and we both loved our dishes. I come here often so I always enjoy the experience.
It was a slow night, but the service and food were delicious! Will definitely return! Very Flavourful!
We had an early dinner reservation and were seated promptly. Overall the food was very good, starting with the vegetable samosa and main courses of chicken tikka masala, lamb and duck curry specials. Sauces were all tasty and they provided a large portion of naan along with rice. Service was timely and they never made us feel rushed even after clearing our table. This is a very good neighborhood spot to have and I would go back.
The Punjabi Dal had a very odd taste and when asked the waiter he was very snooty The naans were under cooked and not crispy
Excellent food! Good service and ambiance
Would definitely go there again and recommend to others
My mom and I dined here on our annual December trip to NYC. This place is excellent and the food is truly exquisite. It’s definitely some of the best vegetarian Indian cuisine we’ve ever had in the city, which is saying a lot considering we’ve tried a new Indian restaurant nearly every year in the past 15+ years we’ve been visiting Manhattan. I think it’s safe to say we will not hesitate to return here again, especially with the fantastic service, staff and management!
Great food and prompt, friendly service. We’ll be back!
First visit to restaurant. Quiet, not crowded. Thought portions small, appetizer and entrees but tasty.
A VERY GOOD INDIAN RESTAURANT, DELICIOUS, CLEAN, GREAT MENU, OWNER-MICHAEL INTRODUCED HIMSELF TO US AND CHECKED ON US MANY TIMES, WE WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK, A CASUAL NEIGHBORHOOD PLACE
Great food !!
Best Indian food
Definitely try this place.
The owner Michael is very hospitable
The food is really great at this restaurant - Indian restaurants vary so greatly, but Rangoli is exceptionally good.
Very nice experience. Owner introduced himself and obviously takes pride in his restaurant . Food was hot, fresh and delicious. Very good prices. Service was friendly and good. A bit surprised that there was no papadum bread; most Indian restaurant give you this to snack on. We would definitely return.
Everything we ordered was very tasty and satisfying. Service was good and very welcoming. Will go back for sure.
Out book club had a delicious meal here. Berg rear space. Reasonable.
Salmon kabob is a must have! Bhindi Masala is equally good too.
Amazing dinner experience! The food and the service were great. 10/10 recommend
The worst service ever. They had just 2 persons waiting on all the tables (>20 tables). We had to leave the meal in middle. And the food was also not great. They served samosas without chutney and had to wait for 15 minutes to get it. Don't recommend the place and would never ever visit the place again.
Rangoli served up very tasty vegetarian food at reasonable prices. The black Dahl was particularly good.
terrific food-subtle spices and tasty non oily sauces. Service was very polite and pleasant in a comfortable setting. A real neighborhood gem
Many delicious selections. Wonderful and friendly staff. Felt at home
Food was amazing and the servers were so nice and very attentive
Good food, service was at times a bit slow.
Appetizers were especially tasty - samosa and spicy gobi
Food was fresh, asked for food to be mild, but perhaps very mild as indicated on check was too mild.
Portions were generous and naan was well made.
Delicious meal in an atmosphere conducive to talking with friends.
Nice ambiance, delicious meal and good portions.
Service was great and attentive.
Will definitely will come back to try other plates in the menu.
Remarkably good Indian food for a remarkably good price in the city
great food and service. I will definitely go back!
We enjoyed our food selections including lamb curry, lentil soup, garlic naan bread, samosa. It is a very comfortable place and quiet before 7 pm. The service and hospitality is excellent.
We had an excellent meal with wonderful service and our 10 year old loved it too.
Love this restaurant! Food was delicious and very fresh tasting. The wait staff was amazing. Very helpful food recommendations. The lamb biryani and chicken korma were outstanding. Will definitely return!
