The food is great But the service totally sucked. The restaurant wasn’t even a quarter full. But we had no service other than delivering dishes. Appetizer was delivered with the main course. Come on. It sucked. And we brought our daughter for the first time. I am so disappointed. Do not go yo range.

The first time at Range that we were disappointed and sent not 1 but 2 v goes back as they were burned. A new one was given, but it to was burned.

We were sat and it took 20 minutes to have someone come over to our table & tell us our waitress had left.... as in QUIT. What should of been an hour brunch took 2 hours because service was so slow and poor. Food, when we finally got it was good, but the drinks were not.

This was our first visit to Range and I'm sad to say it was a bit disappointing. The space is beautifully designed and the menu interesting; however, they need to get their act together in a number of ways. We joined friends for Sunday brunch and there were few people. But even so, the serving staff was sparse. Our server was seemingly one of only 2 covering the entire place and she was also the bartender. We got very good Bloody Marys and a basket of tasty assorted breads/biscuits/scones/muffins (made in house). But it took over 40 minutes for our order to come out. My dish was incorrect (not the cheese omelette I ordered), so they had to remake it. It came out over 20 minutes later, by which time everyone else had about finished their meal. Fortunately we were meeting old friends and no one was in any hurry so we rolled with it and lingered over coffee. 2 of us had the cheese omelette with sauteed butternut squash and corn. It was overly salty and unremarkable. The guys had a meat/egg/tomato/cheese dish which they enjoyed. While it was a joy to see our friends, the bill with tip for brunch (including 1 round of Bloody Marys for everyone and coffee) came to over $230. The food and service experience were just not on that level. We've been to other Voltaggio restaurants (Volt and Family Meal) and had far better experiences. Once was enough for Range. This restaurant needs work.

Travel to DC for business often. Went to Range many years ago when it first opened. Was much more impressed then with the food, service, and atmosphere. Would be a good place for a simple business dinner but nothing special about the food or drinks anymore in my opinion. It was fine, but seems to have lost some of its original flare.

The food was really good. The chicken was flavorful and the drinks were exactly what I expected. I loved the bread basket that was served. The only issue is that it was very cold in the dining room and all of the tables in the middle are under the vent. It was actually so cold I put my pea coat and hat back on. It is a beautiful restaurant space and worth a meal. If they can fix the temperature comfort level I will definitely be back.

The benches were terrible to sit in. Asked for the chairs and the chairs are wide in the front and taper to the back. No human body does that. In our party, we are of different sizes and no one was comfortable. Please pay attention to the whole human.

We made a reservation to celebrate 2 birthdays, this was never acknowledged. We (5 adults) were seated in a back "cubby" of the restaurant next to a rowdy table (2 families with 6 loud and highly active kids/tweens). Why they would sit our group in the "kids section" of the restaurant is beyond me. These people definitely impacted our experience - normally a restaurant would normally not place a group such as ours near a group like theirs - especially when there were plenty of tables in the restaurant open.

The food was good, not great. The menu lacked non-meat main course options.

I've been going to Range since they opened. The menu and drinks have changed but the food is always fantastic and the service is always stellar. We took my mother in-law who loved the food and had a wonderful time. Thanks Range for staying consistent!

Very disappointed in the restaurant. I had been there several years ago when it first opened and the food was great--this time is was poor. Limited menu (not what shows on the website) and not a single vegetarian main entree (or even chicken). We ordered a bread basket as an appetizer and it took 45 minutes to come and then half was slightly burnt and the others doughy and undercooked. Slow service and only 6 tables were fully occupied. Food wasn't very hot when served and overpriced. Won't return nor recommend this place ever again.

Heard great things about this restaurant so was very disappointed with the experience. We had multiple items on the menu, ranging from several apps to main courses and sides. The food was just ok. Unfortunately, I would not go back again.

Staying at the hotel across the way, but when I am here I always try to eat at the Range. Saturday night was no exception. Great beet salad followed be a wonderful well spiced lamb pasta dish. Delicious and the portions were great. Finished off with a salty Carmel icecream. Perfect.

I have been to 3 Volataggio restaurants (including Range previously). This was pitiful-a menu with only half of what is shown online, a clueless waiter, cold, poorly seasoned food and a end where they suggested I go to Cheesecake Factory to get my parking validated. Brian, please, please pay attention to your restaurants!!

Christian went out of his way to accommodate our 4pm arrival for dinner! He was tremendous! Even brought a delicious complimentary hand crafted chocolates to commemorate our parents 67 wedding anniversary. Beet gin drinks were fabulous!!

Overall our experience was so so -- the food was pretty good, but the service was SO slow and the staff seemed really disorganized; we had to ask for refills of drinks several times before anyone would actually tell us that in fact they were out of what we were asking for. Again, it wasn't bad, in fact the food was pretty good, but I definitely would not go back here. Was also really hard to find, being that its in the actual mall.

Very comfortable seating arrangement; attentive waiter; high level cooking; interesting and tasty cocktails. We called in advance to change the table from 4 to 5 to accommodate a surprise visitor, but the hostess did not have that in her book so we had to wait for table to be re-set. Love the fried chicken!

I was definitely disappointed with our visit. We ordered the charcuterie board, being avid charcuterie eaters, and was very disappointed with the quality and taste of the meats. Additionally, our entrees were barely warm, even though the restaurant was mostly empty. I had the scallops, which were only seared on one side, and the meal also came with a risotto which was probably the best part of the meal. Overall, I feel that the food was not worth the money we paid for it, and would not recommend to a friend. Maybe it was an off night, but I expect better from a restaurant of this caliber.

Had always wanted to try a Bryan Voltaggio restaurant, and just haven't made it to Frederick yet. This was a very pleasant second, with an inventive menu. Perhaps it was early in the day on Sunday, but the cavernous space inside a shopping mall felt a little empty for brunch and lacking in decor charm. That said, the meal was excellent, from the Mimosas to a decadent breadbasket to eggs Benedict, lamb hash, and pillowy gnudi. I would definitely come back, and probably during an evening to experience a little more of the restaurant's flair and personality.

Food was good but service was terribly lacking. Made a reservation on Open Table. Stood at the front for well over 5 minutes before ever being acknowledged. It was not busy either. We ordered a bottle of wine, and they brought the wrong bottle. Even after asking if it was a Spatlese they said yes, even though the bottle said "DRY." When we inquired again they caught it and brought the correct bottle...no apology. Then we ordered an appetizer, cornbread, and each our main dishes. The appetizer was tasty although given it's name had flambé in it we thought it would be served differently but tasty just the same. Then came our mains-we both had the lamb bolegnese which was tasty also, but then they forgot our cornbread. When we inquired when our mains came, they said they would look into it. By the time they returned we had finished our main dishes and all they could say was that it takes longer since it's made on the spot....clearly they hadn't put the order in but again no apology. We finished w/ bon bon desserts which was eh, ok. Either way pleasant meal all the same but honestly really expect more from your staff esp being a Brian Voltaggio establishment. Really disappointed.

The shrimp cocktail was excellent. However, the scallops were tiny and the veggies cauliflower that came with them as a substitute for the risotto was overly salty! The restaurant had central air which was freezing almost ruining the meal. You needed a blanket. I waited at the bar for 15 minutes and even though I caught the attention of the bartender and mentioned I would like to order a drink I was pretty much ignored until finally we were seated. Terrible service at the bar!

Meh. Used to be able to count on consistently excellent food. Now much of it is just strange. A place that prides itself on the quality of the ingredients doesn't have to mess with them. Also cocktails should not be pre-mixed so you can't modify them; ok for a chain restaurant, not here.

Very low attendance at the Range. Menu at lunch on weekend was very limited. My friends eggs Benedict was obviously under the heat lamp too long and the sauce was curdled. The kitchen was nice enough to remake the dish, and the fresh dish was good. On the positive note their biscuits are spectacular. Service was very attentive, given there were only a couple of other tables occupied.
