I ordered the $65 special, the scallops were great, salad was great. Steak was ordered medium and recieved well done-it was inedible in parts due to it being chared. Aspargus was awful very thick stalks and burnt in spots and under cooked. Desert was cheesecake with drunken berries-i expected fresh berries and tast of the drunken part..berries were strawberries appeared frozen or canned? And cheesecake was not so great.could have bought the same thing at the cafe for 1/2 the price without the topping..very disappointing. Shrimp was also overcooked on our appetizer. We ordered another cocktail and waiter never brought it. Chairs were uncomfortable and not a very classy setting for almost $150 on a dinner.hopefully when construction is done will bee much nicer
Have eaten in steakhouse half dozen times. Anxious to get back in more ambience. This location does not support prices. My calamari excellent. Friends tenderloin tips terrible. Do not know if would visit again with price hike and cut down in amount served. No longer special. So disappointed. It was the only place we ate when we visited ah chin overnight Would save points for vegas
The food was ok. The service was not great. The waitress asked if I wanted soup or salad, I said I didn't want either. She replied - it comes with the meal. I told her that I understood but that I didn't want it. She asked again and I replied the same. She then pulled the menu from my hands and walked away. She did not serve our food. She only came back once and only spoke to the person with me. Never refilled my drink. For the price point I would have expected better. We were there the night before and although it was quite loud the service and food were excellent.
We use to not mind drivi ing 11/2 hours to have a good steak dinner. This was the worst dinner and service we ever had at the Range. We have eaten there a lot. We order filets, mine was suppose to be medium and my husband gets medium well. My steak came out well done and very dry. My husband's was crispy on top and dry. My husband ate his and she took mine back to get another steak. I waited for over 1/2 hour, then she came over and said you haven't got your steak yet? Is that not her job. She did not keep our glasses filled, had to ask. The server's name was Denise. I had a baked potato for dinner and a small salad. She took the steak off not willingly, we told her too, because my husband was done. We ordered mushrooms and they pretty much were wasted. She did not take them off. The whole dinner should of been taken off. I always would tell them my steak was always good. Not any more. Denise should not be a server or have a lot more training.
Food was very good. Service was ok, not great (Scott). He was pleasant, but not very attentive. Had to ask hostess for refill on drink. Then, after leaving restaurant I noticed that we were charged $8 for birthday??? It wasn't our birthday and we didn't order anything for birthday. The bill is high enough without adding extras. I will return, but will definitely pay more attention to check before we leave.
From the start the hostess was very friendly and pleasant the waitress was excellent we received our in good time and every thing was exactly as we ordered. The service and food were both excellent . The filet was the best I had since New York it was perfect and the crab crakes were loaded with crab and flavor.
We frequent this restruant atleast once a month and will not be back! 54 mins to get bread and drinks, 1 hour 32 minutes to get our food, when asked for refills we were ignored and never got more then one drink. We asked to have our check split and our waiter Rob said "we don't usually do that" which to me was very condescending.. we asked for a manager and she didn't seem to care.. will not be back...
I used to love to go the Range for dinner and take friends however this last time I was very disappoiinted. The filet mignon did not taste good and was not cooked right. The service was fair but took over two hours to get all of our food. Long dinner for eight people. Think I'll try their new restaurants in the future. The Range used to be excellent for service and food. It is definitely slipping.
I had a wonderful King Crab and steak dinner. The portions were quite large and all was cooked to perfection. It was a great opportunity to have the crab legs and it was a big surprise that they were offered on the menu. I plan to dine at the Range Steakhouse each and every time I visit Harrah's Ak-Chin Casino.
It was unbelievably poor in service quality of food atmosphere and the ability of the restaurant team to work together to provide good customer service. Having eaten at the range steakhouse in Laughlin we believed we were getting an equivalent experience. We can call the restaurant remodel the excuse or we can dismiss the restaurant manager, the restaurant chef and hire professionals. I ordered the 12 ounce filet and they said they didn’t have any. So, per the recommendation of our waitress I ordered the ribeye and it came tough as a leather boot. I ordered the lettuce wedge and received four leaves of a Iceberg lettuce. This may fool someone who has not eaten at the range steakhouse in Laughlin. However, I am very familiar with what the wedge salad should be. This was an experience my wife and I will not soon forget, if ever. We have no intention of returning.

While we were staying at Harrahs for the evening, we thought we'd like to have dinner at the Range Steakhouse. We weren't disappointed . The food (Filet for my wife, Lobsters for me) was wonderful! Great ambience and our waiter James was a real charmer. A bit spendy, but we only celebrate like that occasionally.
