The waiter was very friendly and super cute! He helped my friend decide on how she wanted her steak cooked since she isn’t that familiar with the prep of steak. Best martinis in Denver!
Nice environment and good food, but not much vegetarian options.
Service was bad. Waiter forgot our drinks. The food was very mediocre. Steaks were terrible and very thin
We have been to Range several times over the years. The menu is updated frequently. We have always been extremely happy with the quality of the food and the service. This time was no exception! Our waiter did an outstanding job and paced the meal perfectly. All of us enjoyed our appetizers, soup course, and main course. We highly recommend Range.
The food was phenomenal! Drinks were delicious as long as you don’t order the ones on draft (yes they have actual cocktails in draft and they are too sweet). But the service was a bit slow... My party was only one of two in the whole bar area and I had to flag someone down to order a drink and again when we wanted to order and again for another drink. The servers were really nice but just a little too hands-off.
Great value for the pre theater package. 20% food discount plus free valet parking.
Loved this place! Beautiful and interesting to tour around and see the bank vaults in the Renaissance Hotel connected to it. We had free valet parking with our theater stub.
We had the filet and the lamb chops. Both were excellent!
My only complaint was they suggested we come back after the theatre for dessert. So we did and they said the restaurant was closing and we could get a drink in the lobby.
Not much selection for a vegan. $5 for black coffee. :/
The food here is amazing we tried the bone marrow appetizer... wow is all I can say. Then for our main course we had the venison dish, which was delicious. I recommend this place to everyone. Especially if you like to try new things. The food is fresh, wholesome dishes. The service is fantastic! They are super friendly and quick.
I was initially impressed by this restaurant. The service was excellent, the restaurant was not too crowded, and the place had a clean, modern feel which I liked. I had the burrata toast, which was delicious, and the Wagyu meatloaf, which I later came to regret ordering. It tasted good but the smell was a little bit off. I thought nothing of it at the time, but about 30 minutes later my stomach started hurting and it just got worse over the next few hours. If it hadn't been for that, I would return, but given the plethora of other choices in the area, I think I will pass.
Good concept but food is average and nothing wows. Cornbread was dry, NY strip steak was fatty. Steaks are overpriced for what is served. I have no problem paying for a great steak but I’ve been to plenty of steakhouses at this price point that have been plenty worth it.
Glad we found this little gem! The restaurant and bar area is small, but the food was great! I had the Mac and cheese/gnocchi small plate with Brussels sprouts. More than enough food to fill me up. The bar area is quaint and the drinks were delicious!! The blonde cosmo is great. I would return.
The building the restaurant is located in is historic and very beautiful. Our server, Alanna, is a knowledgeable and top shelf professional who made our evening enjoyable. The apps and salads were great. For entrees, our party of 3 had the sirloin and two orders of pork collar. The pork collar is supposed to be a staff favorite...we found it less than memorable. The cocktails and wine list is very good. Overall good experience.
The bison sausage and trout was very good. The ribeye was close to the worst I have ever had. Only ate a few bites. Waot staff was very professional and had a good knowledge of the menu. Other people in the party also was not happy with there steak.
Hope it was just a bad cut. Don’t know if I will come back.
Range seems perfect for a business meal, which is exactly the reason I ate there. The food is good, although I would have liked my venison more on the rare side. Service was very attentive without being overbearing. Recommended.
Nice Easter Brunch!
We had a lovely and delicious Easter brunch at range and are excited to go back. The menu was simple but diverse.
Had dinner March 30, 2018. Ambiance is very good, although it's little noisy when the Range is more than half full. Service is excellent . Salads are well proportioned... main course size appropriately.
Food and drink excellent. Service too slow and there were hardly any people there. I'm a sucker and still tipped 30%.
Celebrated my husband's birthday and had a great time! The service was great, and he was given a free dessert of his choice!
The food was very good! Only thing is that the wild rice in the warm brussel sprouts salad was a smidge under cooked. Would come back and try other things!
Taylor was our server and was excellent- Host individual not at all helpful-and he was the first impression of restaurant. Overall a good experience and would return.
Service was good, took quite a while for our table to be ready even though the restaurant was not packed, but it was okay because we didn’t want a high top and we just went to the awesome lobby for drinks whilst waiting. All of the food was great. Hush puppies were fantastic. Burrata toast was super creamy and delicious. The warm kale salad was very good but I really should have order a filet or some sort of meat. Portion sizes are huge.
The atmosphere of it having been a bank previously was the actual reason I chose the location. Amazing to walk around the hotel. I’m not typically a person who enjoys dining at a restaurant in a hotel but this historic value was the selling point for me to choose this place.
Definitely a good time and if you either like beef or history a must try.
Had a great meal and was very cool that we received 20% off due to attending Hamilton. The menu is smaller in terms of the number of options, however, is a good variety of food. The staff was great, super friendly and on top of their service. Will go back and highly recommend!
We take advantage of ability to valet park and have dinner before attending play at DCPA about three times per year. The range has free valet and discount on food if you are attending play. Good value and assurance we stop back for after play drink. Food, Service, generally everything is solid. Like the menu and the French onion soup is always good. Convenient location and easy in and out. Will likely be back at next play
Went with girlfriend and had a wonderful time. Server was in training but very professional and knowledgeable about the food. Food was perfectly cooked and delicious.
My boyfriend and I dined at range before going to a weekday performance of Hamilton. The staff all around are attentive and professional. The food was delicious and had the touch of originality we were looking for, without going overboard.
We were right in front of the restaurant when we couldn’t figure out the valet situation. I called and they gave quick, clear instructions so we didn’t have to circle around the block; which during rush hour was going to be difficult.
My favorite part of the meal was the Brussels sprouts. I always order sprouts when I’m out to test each kitchen’s recipe. The first thing I noticed—besides the satisfying crisp on the outside—was the huge pile they serve! It’s at least a pound of tasty veggies. I could have eaten the entire bowl myself, but my boyfriend wanted some too... So, I had to share. I highly recommend getting this for the table.
My only complaints are the lighting overall was a bit too dim. Since the ceilings are low and there’s a lot of black decor, natural light and the pendants seemed shrouded. And the drinks from the hotel bar took longer than expected. The wine we ordered for our entrees didn’t arrive until we were halfway through.
We each had a meat entree. The portions were, again, large and since we were going to the show, we couldn’t box up leftovers.
I had the chicken with mustard sauce. It was cooked well and I felt they gave me half of an entire hen. The farro wheat was a great choice of grain. The only thing I didn’t care for was the lack of salt on the root vegetables. I have a high appetite for salt, but it tasted as though they hadn’t been cooked with salt and the tasty mustard sauce couldn’t make up for it.
My boyfriend had the wagu meatloaf, which he let me taste. It was delightful! The wagu has a pure flavor. It’s well worth the value. Just be warned that it is big, about 3/4 of a pound, with veggies and grits. The chef is not messing around with this dish! They want you to be completely stuffed.
Service was impeccable. Our server slowed down the meal for us, and it was lovely. He checked in just enough times, while making sure we had what we need without overwhelming. I wasn’t impressed with my dish, but my dinner partner’s ribeye was tasty and well prepared.
Second time eating here pre-theatre and they do not disappoint! Service is fabulous and the food is wonderful!!
Love the hotel lobby as well!!
The restaurant was very accommodating. We were late due to multiple accidents on I 70. We were also on our way to see Hamilton so on a tight schedule since we were late. The server was very pleasant and worked with our tight schedule. However, the food was mediocre at best. Warm Brussels sprout salad lacked any flavor, bison strip steak was very tough and the green bean side dish was about as slimy as okra. Won't be back even with the free valet for theater goers.
We had a delicious anniversary dinner. Our hostess (Melissa) and server (Doug) were welcoming and helpful!
The two entrees that we ordered were very good. The menu selection should please everyone. Our server was very friendly and we enjoyed chatting with him.
Service very friendly and good.. portions were generous, atmosphere was lively yet not noisy. Convenient to several nearby hotels, including the Magnolia, where we stayed.
We chose this restaurant because of the free valet parking. We were going to the DCPA for a show that night. It was quite loud in the restaurant, our server was terrible - he didn't listen to us and was kind of rude - and the food was mediocre. Not worth it.
Our server Tyler was so sweet! Had a fantastic time with my family, will definitely go back if I find myself in Denver again.
We were disappointed. There was only one waiter for the entire restaurant. He did a good job given the circumstances but the restaurant should have had more people on staff. Our appetizer came before our wine or drinks did. Cornbread was dry. The Gnocci Mac and Cheese was the only thing I was impressed with. Steak came over cooked. Scallops were mediocre at best. And no candles to put in my birthday dessert. Absolutely not worth the $ we spent here. Disappointing birthday dinner for sure.
We dined here for the last day of Denver Restaurant Week. We've dined here before and really like the food and feel of the place. The food was excellent from the prix fix menu, but for them running out of dessert selection of cherry cobbler & vanilla ice cream, which would have been my choice by far (had been thinking about it all day!). They offered to substitute gelato - it was fine but NOT a fair trade. Also, how do you run out anyway? Just make some more.
Lastly, the service was indifferent at best. We barely saw the server throughout the dinner. We'll try here one more time and decide if this is a favorite or just a flash in the pan.
The décor is simple, but very pleasant. Service was great, and the food was well prepared.
We made reservations here to have a nice dinner before an evening event at 8 p.m. I don't know if they were having a off night because of restaurant week but we were seated 30 mins past our reservation time and then sat at the table for a good 10 mins before our waiter brought us anything. Then we had to wait again because we were not given the restaurant week menu. The waiter seemed irked that we had bought drinks at the bar in spite of our 30 min wait. The food I ordered off of the restaurant week menu was good (the beet and spinach salad was a little bland for me, the sauce on the chicken was good, I liked my friend's orange creme dessert better than my cherry dessert).
I would not have minded the waiter being a little less attentive if I was not worried about being to our event on time. I was hoping for something a little more special to make our whole evening wonderful.
I have been to the Range bar prior and they do make good cocktails.
