Food was great, service was terribly slow, had to ask to get waited on
The food at Range is very well prepared and the service is outstanding. Tables set up and bar are great. Everyone is focused on the customer experience. Which all culminates in a damn great experience.
Had a great server named Michael, the Queso Fondue appetizer was wonderful, and the salads we ordered were terrivic, and large portions. Enjoyed it very much, and they offer a theater discount, and were cognizant of our schedule to go see a show.
Excellent meal, it was busy for lunch so the bartender handled our table. It got busy so a few things took a little while, could have used a 2nd waiter but still very good. Had the sausage and it was delicious, but was kind of thin and got soggy with the sauerkraut and mustard so I knife and forked it.
I had the roasted tomato soup and veggie pizza. Both very fresh and tasty. Was a bit disappointed in the dessert - I ordered a scoop of sorbet, but got basically some scrapings in a glass. Good beer selection. NOTE: They do NOT serve brunch; even on a Sunday.
Great food and wine! The service was great and the food even better!
My friend and I had one of the worst servers I have ever had. My friend and I have both been servers in the past so we usually give people the benefit of the doubt but this guy was awful.
The restaurant wasn’t that busy so he may have had only two other tables including us.
First, he didn’t know how to open a bottle of wine.
We gave him our soup and salad order along with our entree. We waited for a half hour with no soup or salad. I asked the status and he said he never put in the order for those items. Two minutes later we got our steaks. My sides were on my friend dish, not mine.
The steaks were just ok and not worth the price at all. Not even close.
He comped the sides and took 20% off the entire bill and it was still $140 total. Even with that discount, it was way over priced.
I will never dine there again and will never recommend it.
Good food, and good service, would definitely go back
The food was absolutely incredible and service was even better. I ordered the 8oz filet and it exceeded my expectations in every way- especially the red wine reduction.
This was such a fun place to find. the Range in addition to the Renaissance Hotel was a treat to be part of, walk around and enjoy the evening in totality.
Valet was a great addition and made getting to our reservation easy. The entire staff, especially our waiter, Gavin was excellent and made our evening very special.
the food and drinks were well prices, and delicious and great portion size. We will definitely go back.
Scallops were amazing. Every staff member I interacted with was a joy, but Michael took care of me for the most part. A bit pricey but the scallops made up for it. As well as the mocktail
Great breakfast, lovely conversation. Love this repurposing of the bank, the history is very special.
Great restaurant! The food was excellent and properly prepared! Very nice date night, very quiet.
Very nice restaurant and great food
The food was so good. My husband and I split an Appetizer and main course. The plated the food so nicely and it was delicious. I highly recommend the Field and Stream board. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked and very flavorful.
Our visit started out roughly as our drinks were forgotten. We waited 20 minutes and were just about to leave when the manager came over and apologized. He made everything right and turned the experience around. We will definitely be back.
We truly appreciated the high level of service from the staff at range. Even our 8 year old son raved about how much he enjoyed the experience.
The staff was great. Really big thanks to Eric and Holly.
Austin was awesome! Great bartender, and solid food.
Great food/menu choices and excellent service. We had a really good time!!
Fantastic experience from the valet forward. Very enjoyable dinner and excellent service. 5 stars!
Holly was super attentive and took special attention to my granddaughter
Food was delicious and good quality and quantity for the price
Our service was amazing with several folks checking on us and chatting with us....very congenial.
Best pizza appetizer and friendly attentive service.
Menu didnt match what is listed here. Recommend adding a grilled chicken breast to any salad (not on menu). Overall experience was nice. Steaks were prepared well. Thanks
WORST lunch experience EVER! Frequently send people to Range for business lunches and were here today to welcome two new employees. NEVER COMING BACK!
We asked the hostess who sat us if there was a gluten free menu, since two in our party have allergies. "No menu, not very many items, we can do bread/buns gluten free. But your server will explain that all to you."
The server, Jimmy, who took forever to come get our orders, did not seem to take our gluten allergies seriously & replied "Yes, everything on the menu can be done gluten free." When asked if the sides (chips & fries) were gluten free, he replied "Yes, they both are. But if you are worried about it, I would get the salad". Also replied "yes, everything on that salad is gluten free except the croutons, do you still want those?" If the servers don't know about allergies, then print/post an allergen menu
Then, he screwed up one of the entrees. Instead of bringing the salmon plate, he thought the person ordered "same" & brought soup & burrata toast. But ok, accidents happen. That person didn't get their salmon until everyone else was completely finished. There were no apologies about this from Jimmy or discounts given on the $32 entree when the bill came. After we gave him the card to run, we asked about the complimentary cookies that usually come after the meal & were told rather rudely with his back turned as he was walking away that they ran out 45 minutes ago, even though all of the tables around us got them, including the one just 10 minutes before we asked.
But the real issues were when he reached over someone who was in the process of standing up (she had to sit back down) to grab the signed check before we left. After we all exited the restaurant & were in the lobby, he hurried out & aggressively asks one of our group (with the check still in his hand) what company we work for. Why do you need that information? We didn't pay with a company card and regardless, the card ran through just fine
Wonderful staff and management! I only wish they could have a breezeway entrance; it’s cold whenever someone comes inside
Absolutely loved our dinner for 12 at Range! Super service and helpful staff. Food was amazing, the chef should have his hands bronzed!
Great food and excellent service, and valet parking in a great historic building, it was a very special evening!!!
Food was good as always, but we had a middle table in the middle of a very loud room.
This is one of our new favorite places in Denver. Quiet, intimate service, knowledgeable servers and bartenders. We even came back here for dessert the night after, instead of the restaurant we took dinner at. We will absolutely go here every time we're in Denver.
We took advantage of the free valet parking pre theater and will definitely be back! Nice selection of cocktails and wine for starters, which paired nice with the fondue appetizer. For dinner we shared a Caesar salad and the Scallops which they so graciously split for us on separate plates without asking. Everything was perfectly prepared and delicious, and the service was superb. Our car was also out front and waiting for us to pick up after the theater. Just a wonderful evening from start to finish.
What a great find on our way to the theatre. Food was great and service even better.
The field and stream charcuterie was delicious. The flatiron steak frites was a very nice cut of meat properly prepared. The fries were of the frozen run of the mill variety with a tablespoon of watercress and radish side salad. The mixed green salad although appeared appetizing with purple carrots, cherry tomatoes and cucumber the greens were clearly passed their prime and with half inedible. The dressing was clearly not mixed before being applied and was entirely oil, no vinegar. Overall a mediocre meal, unfortunately.
Scallops were good but only 4 equates to a very expensive appetizer. The field and stream platter was poor. The duck tasted like rancid oil, the salmon pate was ok but average, the goat chorizo was dry/nearly tasteless, the elk sausage was the only decent tasting part of the platter. Very limited menu. Very expensive drinks - and nothing to write home about. Hotel is beautiful but don’t waste your money eating at The Range!
Food was great. Waiter really nice and attentive. Very nice restaurant. We went before the theater - it was a wonderful choice and we will definitely book again. Thank you.
We had a wonderful experience at range. The valet were courteous and offered prompt and efficient service, in addition to directions to range from inside the hotel. The wait staff took care of us, and offered an excellent selection of wines and cocktails.
I had the chicken dish and my friend scallops - cooked to perfections and absolutely delicious.
Thank you for a wonderful dining experience prior to the theater.
We went NYE, got seated right away, little slow to be greeted at our table but it was busy & everything was great after that. Mike our waiter was responsive and Tim was a great host. Food was delicious as was the malbec. We would go again.
The service is outstanding. But the food is fair. The jalapeno hushpuppies had little flavor and no zing or pizzaz. The lamb collar, our main course was tender and tasteful and was a good recommendation. For dessert, we had the carrot cake and it was as bland as the hushpuppies. I really couldn't taste what type of cake it was.
The cocktails were well made and generous.
Salmon undercooked and needed to revisit kitchen for a few more minutes. Good value and perks for attending DCPA.
The restaurant was cold and the chairs were low, and I’m 6’3”. The restaurant was cold. They had to use a cheap space heater to unsuccessfully keep it warm, as all it did was blow cold air. The front of the restaurant is in a large lobby to a building that is unlabeled, so we ended up walking in the back entrance where signage was, so signage and setup was confusing. For a Saturday evening, it was fairly empty and the food took a long time to come out. The food was ok at best. It was overall greasy. The scallops were good but again, greasy. I had the herb roasted chicken which was dry and, honestly, a rotisserie chicken from King Soopers is better. So in all, not worth the money or time. Overpriced for the quality and experience.
