Good food and restaurant
Food prep on steak filet had 4-5 different temperatures within the same piece of meat depending which side I cut into it. You can’t mess with filets.
We were in Denver for a business meeting and selected Range for dinner. The service was exceptionally prompt and thorough. The food was fresh and seasoned appropriately. I had a salmon dish that was cooked to perfection. My coworker had the steak and was very pleased with the taste, tenderness and temperature of it. Highly recommend.
To be fair, we did not eat anything here. But that wasn't because we didn't want to, it's because nobody came to our table for 10 minutes so we got up and left.
The food was very mediocre. Don’t order the cornbread or meatloaf. Flatbread was ok and the bratwurst was actually good. Drinks were good. Waitstaff very nice.
Ask for the bacon that’s not on the menu...so yummy!
Once we settle down for dinner in the "lobby," which is actually the main dining room, the ambiance was fine. Before that we were in the bar and could barely hear each other. The menu was very good and the actual food even better.
Food was okay, but not special. Service was bad and space was very noisy.
This was a great place for a business lunch. Great (attentive) service and the portions matched the price. Tasty and creative. I especially liked the candied habanero bacon on the turkey club. Another nice service point was constant refill of water and lemonade/ice teas. I will return.
Excellent service. The food was delicious and the portions were reasonably sized and the deserts were a perfect ending
We went to enjoy a show at the theater and took advantage of the free valet! Dinner was amazing! Great prices for a wonderful dinner! The cheese board was wonderful and my steak was the best I have had in months!! Was a little noisy due to happy hour but nothing overwhelming! Highly recommend!!
Good service, amazing scallops & convenient parking in the 16th St Mall Garage. A nice menu with apps and entrees for everyone.
This was our second visit and it wasn't nearly as good as the first time we dined here. The food was just average and it was extremely loud sitting near the lounge area.
Wow amazing experience! Loved the variety of food and the scallops were the best I’ve ever had!
Perfect pre theater dining. Food and service was excellent.
The dinner and a show deal is excellent. The food and service were both great. We’ll definitely be back!
Albeit a Monday but they were able to seat 8 of us on very short notice.
Our favorite restaurant in downtown Denver. The food was excellent, well presented and delicious. We will be back again!
Excellent experience, great food and service. The pork collar was amazing!
Good service. Food was okay for the price. The spring pea soup was delicious but the chicken on grits was overly salted. Good wine selection.
There was no one who worked in the restaurant present when we got there. After waiting 10 min or more we probably should have just left but we stayed and sat down. They took our orders. Everything came out just meh. Eggs and potatoes seemed like they had been under a heat lamp. The pancakes were rubbery. It just wasn’t worth paying for honestly. Also after our food came out all the staff disappeared again for quite awhile. We just had to sit there and wait for a check for some awful food
Had an 8:45pm reservation. We didn't see our server for quite a while, but thankfully the person who brought us our water (Mike?) was helpful. He took our drink order, then later when we still hadn't seen our server he took our appetizer order. At this point our was 9:15 or so and our actual waiter finally came to see us. The restaurant looked pretty dead, and with an 8:45 reservation we didn't see our food until around 9:30. Normally this would be fine, but apparently they close at 10:00... and I wouldn't have known this if not for the fact that they started clearing every nearby table, stacking chairs upside down on tables (quite loudly) right next to us while we were still eating. We felt VERY unwelcome at that point, and told that to our server... coincidentally, right as someone was loudly stacking chairs on the table right next to us. I literally pointed to the chair stacking behind me and asked, "You see this, right?" As we wrapped up very quickly at that point (10:15 at this point) the person who was doing the horribly obnoxious cleanup work around us, while we were trying to not feel like a huge burden, came by. He attempted to apologize by saying he hoped that we understood that he has a life outside of the restaurant and that they could give recommendations for other places we could go. Our last words on the way out the door were, "Just stop, that's not the point at all."
WTF. Seriously... WTF.
Thanks, I don't need any recommendations, but i will certainly find somewhere else next time. Sorry for making a reservation a full hour and fifteen minutes before your closing time *rolling my eyes so hard I hope you can hear it*
Minor point - the meatloaf was dry, and our server said we weren't that first that day to make that comment.
Good place for a business lunch. Menu is pretty standard fare for hotel restaurants and the food is acceptable. The ambiance of the restaurant is good, but you have step out into the lobby of the Renaissance Hotel, just outside the restaurant, to fully appreciate the experience of dining in a converted grand old bank building with huge marble pillars and beautiful murals, an enormous bank vault door and other features that make it easy to envision its former life as a busy downtown bank lobby full of customers, bank tellers and loan officers. A truly beautiful spot that Renaissance Hotels deserves credit for preserving so well.
Communication was poor. It took forever to get food and my party was half of the restaurant on a Sunday early evening. Way too many options that are better in Downtown Denver.
Great service and food! Loved the ambiance. Stayed at the hotel but it did not feel like a "hotel restaurant" . Great vibe.
Wonderful food and the waiter was outstanding in suggestions and service. Totally enjoyable experience.
Would not recommend
This was an excellent choice for entertaining a customer. The room was active and vibrant without being too loud, and the tables were not too close to each other. Service was very attentive, and the food was prepared perfectly. All were impressed, and we will be back.
Got a great private room to talk shop in and the food was delicious. Highly recommend for post trade show dinners.
Very nice and calm on a Monday from 12:45 to 2 p.m.!
Salmon was really undercooked. Candied bacon was good but wasn’t spicy like it usually is. Hush puppies were good. Brussels sprouts were soggy and bland.
Pork Collar was excellent. I could have made a better choice. Also, the appetizer meat selection was interesting. I thought the bison sausage was specifically the best. Wasn't a huge fan of the cornbread appetizer. However, living in Alabama my opinion might be a bit biased. Service was good initially. Entrée was a little slow. Overall great experience.
The place was practically empty and yet it took 10 minutes to get 2 drinks. we ordered an appetizer when our server finely showed up with the drinks and it took another 20 minutes to get that (a plate of cold cuts). 2 drinks and an appetizer cost $45 bucks, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!
The mushroom flatbread was amazing. Service was a little slow to start, we were sat in an odd table. However, once that was resolved the service was good. The meatloaf was really good. I’ve paid a lot more for food that wasn’t as good.
Great food, manager Sam was great and so was the bartender server, Donny ......food excellent.
The staff was understanding that we were late for our reservation due to traffic. They made sure that our table was ready when we arrived.
They even made sure to wish the birthday girl a happy birthday, per my notes on this forum.
The only complaint I have is the amount of time it took for us to get the chance to ask our server for the check as this caused us to be late to the play we were seeing.
Other than that, the food was good and the prices were no worse than any other restaurant of that calibur in that part of town.
We brought a friend from work to celebrate her retirement - we had offered a fancier restaurant, but this is where she chose to go. There were 6 of us and we could barely hear one another talk - pretty much ruined the whole lunch time together. Very, very loud - would not recommend going here again.
Overall— a decent meal. The dishes were good and filling, but not really adventurous. Steak, salmon, chicken all done safely and conservatively.
The service was poor. No one checked on us until dinner was almost over. The food was lukewarm when delivered.
Our waiter was the bartender. He did fine at first but only checked on us when convenient for him, so like twice outside of taking our order. Our food took forever and both our appetizer and meals were brought out by someone else. We got the hush puppies, which were over cooked. The grilled chicken wrap we ordered was cold. The burger wasn’t warm and the bottom bun was soggy as if it had been sitting out for awhile. A table of three that was seated 10 minutes after us, the only other people in the restaurant, got everything they ordered before us and were able to leave before we were. Range had a lot of potential but fell short in every category.
