We had reservations for dinner but were seated at a table in the bar and the bartender doubled as our server, which made for a much less cozy date-night dinner. The food was average and we ordered 2 glasses of the same wine (moscato) but when the wine came out, one of the glasses contained lots of air bubbles in the wine (a strange phenomenon). The service was decent enough but between the average food and the lack of ambience, not great enough to recommend to family and friends for a nice dinner downtown.
Great location for Buell Theatre, food was perfect, surprisingly not super expensive, great staff and ambiance.
so much fun. thanks!!!!!!! coming back. Tried things out of my zone. Too dang great.
The pork collar was awesome. The service was great.
Great food as always. Was there for a business lunch and service was very timely and the atmosphere made it easy to have a good conversation.
Lovely environment, excellent, friendly service and great food. A really nice experience for a last minute reservation. While the brunch menu was limited, there were interesting choices and something for everyone.
Great food and service
Good and drinks were great! Unfortunately our service was not good. Our waitress got too busy and we had to ask several people for drinks and food. Then when the bill came we have almost double the amount of drinks actually on our ticket.
The food and staff continue to deliver a memorable food and entertainment experience. Don’t miss having a drink at the bar with Mel, an outstanding bartender. Christina oversees and takes great care of her patrons. The chef continue to serve farm to table delicious culinary flavors. Don’t miss Range when you are in Denver.
Prime rib was luke warm and rare, not medium, sides were cold
Room is LOUD
They were short 3 staff, seemed chaotic
Venue was too noisy and the venue was just ok... was seated right next to the kitchen service area and the door to the hotel. between both noises, it was necessary to shout to be heard at our table.
The food was fantastic but the services
Just thought it was really loud every thing else was great!!
Honestly if you’re visiting like me, definitely pass. The foods priced was right for the description but everything we ordered was very bland. Nothing was seasoned or spiced up in an way. The serves was great and very accommodating when we added someone to our table mid dinner.
range was a wonderful experience. We have known about this place because of the Denver Center for Performing Arts and finally decided it was time. From the moment we entered, we felt welcomed. Our server was off the charts. He made sure to give us options, let us know about their specialty drinks and even asked if we were going to a show. By the time we had completed our meal, we were completely hooked. We asked how late they would be open and our server let us know we could also get dessert at the bar if we decided to come back later that evening.
We came back after the show for dessert and yes, it was so worth it. I had their holiday drink, Haunted Banker, and it was delicious and cool looking. Our desserts were so good! Our original server stopped by and asked how the show was. This is the place to go for a wonderful date night, just because night or I deserve this night!
Delicious options that were perfect to share or enjoy alone.
Cool place, but the tacos has some really old tortillas, which were very chewy/hard to chew thru...
Excellent restaurant before or after theater event. Parking is free and 20% off your meal with theater ticket. We went with friends in between two performances and it worked out really well. Easy walk from DCPA. In the beautiful new Renaissance Hotel (formerly Colorado National Bank).
We were early in the dinner time so the bartender served us but others were quick if we needed anything. Excellent entrees of Bison Meatloaf and Skirt Steak. Sides included and were delicious.
I would heartily recommend range for a visit downtown and definitely for any DCPA events.
Lovedit. Fantastic service and food!
Fantastic experience for an early morning breakfast. Was the only table, server was superb! Food was excellent.
Food is plentiful, tasty, and locally sourced. Lovely and lower key place to dine on Sunday afternoon prior to theater. Complimentary valet and 20% discount on meal make it a good value. Three blocks from theater make for a pleasant and short walk. Donny and Lahleinie both were friendly and attentive. Great experience across the board.
For the most part the food was really good. Don't get the fondue unless you like it gritty.
Meh - nothing special or memorable.
Eggs Benedict very good!!
The food was okay but the presentation of the restaurant was just so-so. Definitely would recommend remodeling for a better vibe/ambiance especially as the interior of the hotel is awesome
I had the rock shrimp tacos and spring pea soup. Both were truly outstanding. I loved the complimentary cookie too!
All entrees were excellent, flavorful and well presented. The appetizers were good, but not quite to the level of the main dishes. We shared dessert churros, these were every bit as good as they sounded on the menu. Service was friendly. The overall ambiance is nice, but nothing particularly notable. However, don’t miss a trip out to the old bank lobby if you come in from the side entrance, as we did. Recommended.
Boiled ribs ... overpriced... dark and dingy ... nice staff
Service was fantastic. Basted eggs were all hard. By the time they remade the eggs I was kind of over breakfast. Birthday breakfast was so nice with breakfast muffins. The kids menus were some of the best I’ve seen. Adult food wasn’t the best but such an nice experience with the service and beautiful ambiance.
The environment was great and being that it was a Tuesday it was busy, but the staff were very attentive. Everyone and I mean everyone was genuinely nice and helpful to us. Holly did such a great job making sure that we were taken care of while making us feel very welcome as if it was a home cooked meal with family and friends. The food was delivered in a timely manner and delivered beyond expectations with the taste. The chef deserves a high five. This is my first experience here, but I guarantee it will not be my last.
Was a great place to go after the theatre. The restaurant extends free valet parking for theatre goers and has a 20% discount on your food bill if you let them know you are coming from DCPA. Food was good, service was quick without being over bearing. Would highly recommend.
Love Range for pre-show dining. The Cider brussel sprouts are a great app or side. Great food and excellent service.
Loved the experience.
Fantastic service (Gavin) , fabulous meal (grilled pork collar). Love the partnership with Denver Center for Performing Arts. Loved it and will go back!
This place is terrible. I ordered a draft beer, and it came to table an inch low which is less than 12oz. I explained that a pint should be at least 16 ounces, SA agreed and sent it back for a new one. Second one came in a clearly dirty glass and tasted like soap. Finally settled on just give me a can of beer... in the can. The bartender that working that night was a heavyset girl with a red ponytail, who I could clearly hear from where I was sitting complaining about me as a patron to the server. Very professional. I don't know if she was having a bad night or what, but she needs to learn how to pour a beer. I saw several other people send back drinks at the bar so I guess it's not just me that feels this way
My server (or SA not sure) name was Mike. He was not friendly or helpful and I only saw him about once every 20 minutes. Terrible service. Gavin I am told was my server, he seemed really nice the one time he checked in
For dinner I got the steak and frites which was actually a pretty good dish, I would give it a solid B+ and based solely upon food 4 stars, but the chimichurri is the worst that I ever had. It smelled and tasted like Copenhagen chewing tobacco or "dip". Not even sure how that's possible but I regretted putting it on my steak. For the record, I usually love chimmichurri, have had it all over South America and enjoy making it in my home. This made me want to puke
I generally always tip 20% or more, but i. this case I simply could not bring myself to do that.
We dined on a sunday night (likely part of the issue).
The bartender was working the bar and waiting tables. He did a great job however it seemed like a bit much for 1 person.
Food was good, not great. I ordered the scallops. Scallops themselves were good to very good, was disappointed with the risotto.
What an experience!
This place is perfect for a date night, especially if you're watching a show at the Denver performing arts center. My bf and I saw a musical before dinner and were still able to park our car at the hotel (the restaurant is on the first floor of the Renessaint Hotel). If you show your tickets parking is complimentary for 6 hours! In addition, they take 20% off the entire meal!! Awesome deal!!!!
We ordered a bottle of wine, ribeye steak, and salmon. Everything was super rich with flavor! The ribeye was huge~ came with potatoes and a small avocado salad. The salmon was baked and plated on top of quinoa salad. Very very good!!!! We finished everything including the bottle of wine~
Our server, Holly, was very nice and attentive! Overall, the ambience is romantic, modern, and fancy. The lobby connected to the restaurant is very nice too!! Great for pictures :)
My roasted chicken was cold inside. I spent it back. When the server brought it back, it was still cold inside (yuck!) I told them to just take it. They apologized and took it off the bill, but didn't even offer a complementary dessert or coffee, after I waited all that time to get my roasted chicken!
I would recommend range with the caveat that, in my opinion, the “casual” description given in the restaurant’s promo misleads one’s pricing assumptions. It was worth the price because of the complimentary parking associated with theater tickets. Very nice staff.
