My sister and I truly enjoyed our dinner at Randolf's. We had never been and found by searching great restaurants in Denver. We were very impressed with the meal options. I had the Stroganoff and the fresh made noodles were out of this world! There dessert menu was just as impressive. We wanted to try all of the items, but ultimately decided on the creme brulee. Very good!! The servers were very attentive and friendly as well.
It was the perfect meal prior to show at the DCPA.
We live north of Denver and it was a 45 min drive for us. I would easily make the drive for dinner at Randolf's again.
Very friendly staff. Prompt service. Outstanding food! Lamb gnocchi was perfect, and the cheese cake was superb!! Oh, and the truffle fries are out of this world.
Food is consistently good. Great place for a quiet breakfast meeting . Lisa provided friendly, professional and timely service!
We went with a group of 12 for brunch. The prices are comparable to other brunch places in Denver and cheaper than expected for a hotel restaurant. The food was fabulous though some people said theirs was a bit cold. Drinks were expensive though so this is not a great boozy brunch location. The wait staff was attentive and offered separate checks without us having to ask which was nice.
Randolph's has always been one of our favorite restaurants. Food is always excellent, prices are
very reasonable and it has a great ambiance. Service always excellent also.
Wonderful ambiance, excellent menu, great service. Food was 1st class.
Extremely poor service!! Hostess was indifferent and unwelcoming. Waitor was absent minded and dismissive. He was out of his depth and lacking in capacity.
Fabulous food, service and ambiance. We were looking for a place to have a quiet New Year's Eve dinner without a party atmosphere. We found it!
As usual : Randolphs is still our favorite restaurant in the Denver area. Food was fabulous, service outstanding and ambience, perfect. Had a small group of friends join us because they had given us a gift certificate knowing it was our favorite!! We'll b back...for the umpteenth time soon.
Service was seriously lacking. 20+ mins to get a beer. Food didn't come out at the same time. Was charged more than I was expecting based on the menu. Food was good. Some desserts ran out on the buffet. Piano player was fun. Ambient setting. Would not go again based on service issues - people at tables were opening bar tabs to get drinks rather than wait on their servers.
Went there for Thanksgiving Dinner with a date. The only positive about the whole experience was the ambiance created by the talented piano player.
Appetizers: The clam chowder was average.
Entree: Prime Rib, served extremely rare and barely warm (not hot as expected).
Mash potatoes served room temperature.
Stuffing served room temperature.
Vegetables per limited menu were broccoli and cauliflower only, yuck. Only substitution were carrot and cucumber. Both carrot and cauliflower were old, raw and tasteless.
Dessert: Cheese cake was average, not bad, not good.
Altogether, a total waste of $91 plus $20 tip.
I usually don't write reviews at all, unless the experience was way above average.
This negative review for a restaurant is my first!
Was there for Thanksgiving. Parts of the meal were delicious and some was not. Potatoes were dry no gravy, prime rib was excellent. Salads were the best. No whipped cream for the pumpkin pie. Service was good and so gracious. Music was too loud.
This was Thanksgiving and for the price, I expected the food to be excellent. It wasn't. The turkey came out dry and everything was highly salted. It was also not hot. They replaced my meal with monster turkey and no salt, but the stuffing was mushy and under cooked. I had to bites. The salad and dessert buffet was good.
We were expecting a full thanksgiving buffet and instead they decided to have the main course off the menu. If we were told over the phone that the main course was off the menu we would of changed our reservations to the Brown Palace who has a full buffet.
Terrific place, bright sunny nice looking noise level is great you can actually have a
Love it-great food and service !!! My fav date place
Consistently good food. Server was very pleasant and order came out promptly.
Excellent service from bartender, wait staff.
Food was good. We had the scallops and the beef stroganoff. we sat on the patio. My only negative comment would be that there mice, I mean a lot of mice running around the patio. One patron screamed as the mouse hit her foot. They should make a concerted effort to eradicate the mouse problem as it is begs the question how many mice get inside given the patio door was open. Almost looked like an infestation of mice.
We scheduled a team celebration over lunch at Randolph's and it was lovely. Quiet enough that we could talk, elegant atmosphere, great food, and the service was excellent. Thanks, Randolph's...we'll be back!
I can't call it a spectacular dining experience but we had great service and the food was decent
Randolph's is not what it used to be. We've been going to Randolph's for about 10 years and we've been going less and less for the last two years, because it's been changed a few times (management, menu, staff, etc.) and just isn't what we used to go there for. We've always loved the patio and love the improvements, but the menu is more pub-style food instead of the steak/seafood restaurant it used to be. The wine menu is nothing near to what it used to be either. Our waiter was great and was very attentive all evening. We were there for awhile, enjoying the live music on the patio, with great weather and nice ambiance. The food was good for what it was, but we were hoping for a bit more elegance, like it used to be. Truth be told, not sure we're coming back soon.
We were celebrating a 34 year retirement party for one of our bankers. Service was excellent! Everyone was extremely happy with their dinner choice; food was very good and drinks were the best!
Food was quite good. Server was very nice, but we had to track him down several times for water and coffee. Fireplace and espresso machine not working, not his fault and he was nice about it.
We went because I had a gift coupon and had never been here. We were there on a Saturday night so did not have the usual weekday business crowd, which I gather this place attracts. Salads were decent but nothing special. My wife's steak was totally unseasoned and under-cooked (she asked for medium and it was bloody rare. The menu described it as coming with fingerlings and it came with fries. My entree was a scallop and chorizo dish on polenta. Only fair, also under-seasoned. Sausage slices were very small and did not really taste like chorizo, and there were only two scallops. Our daughter had chicken tenders (they have an off-menu group of kids menu items, which was great) which were actually great. Desserts were also delicious. Service was excellent and it was a quiet pleasant ambiance.
Mothers Day we took our adult children and grandchildren to lunch. We had decided not to chose the Mothers Day Brunch and opted to lunch from the menu. The food was excellent, my grandchildren loved the fettuccine.
Our server was less than anxious to engage with our group, other than to take orders and other requests. We have dined here twice before and the waiter (had the same) was excellent. This server was less enthusiastic as to our dining experience. Didn't even mention Mothers Day or make an attempt to converse with us. By the way, we were the ONLY patrons in the restaurant, the Mothers Day Brunch was upstairs in the ballroom.
This experience will not keep this restaurant off of our list. However, service consistently is a must. I was disappointed for my kids as well, I wanted to show-off our choice for such a special occasions. Food-excellent, service-not so much!
We enjoyed the food, music and atmosphere very much. The desserts were excellent! We will definitely go again!
We have dined at Randolph's for brunch twice, the most recent being for Easter. Their brunch selections are quite extensive and everything we tried was excellent. The staff is attentive and helpful, and the overall experience is every bit as good as much more the expensive brunch spots in Denver. We will be back!
Nice setting in near downtown hotel. Pleasant room nice for conversation, good wait staff. Food from breakfast menu was just average...perhaps we were competing for kitchen attention with large buffet occurring in upstairs ballroom.
The hostess was cranky and rude and the waitstaff was slammed and couldn't handle the volume of the restaurant. It took forever and we felt we weren't welcome there and everyone seemed in a bad mood. Very disappointed.
The food was cold, the service was mediocre and it wasn't busy. Best part was my kids were able to run around because there was only a couple tables. The price you pay for the buffet is way too high for what they offer. Won't be back anytime soon, sad for us because my husband loves the Fathers Day Brunch.
Good food. Good value. I thought it lacked ambience but my wife thought it had good ambience.
The service was good. We both had fish and chips and could have used just one more piece of fish. Our plates only had 2 pieces of fish and then was filled with fries. Otherwise it was bright and clean.
Excellent for business.
This restaurant is not the place to go if you want to have a conversation. To discuss important topics is impossible at lunch due to the noise level. I have virtually gone to dining at Randolph's maybe twice or three times per year because of the noise.
However they are not alone, to be honest restaurants today are far to noisy for business people on a mission.
What a GEM! I made reservations for New Years Eve on Opentable, with a request to be seated near the fireplace. We arrived and our car was complimentary valeted , we checked our coats and were seated promptly, (by the fireplace)! Adam, our server, greeted us with a great smile as he took time to answer questions, he was a delight. He gave us excellent service and we'll request his expertise on our next visit!
The atmosphere was relaxing, even cozy. The decor is inviting for any occasion, upscale details.
The NYE five course menu was outstanding! Their variety of choices really impressed our table of four. From Duck to filet and lobster to the indulgent desserts!
The delivery of our meal was expertly timed between courses, never rushed.
Truly, the food was amazing! My shrimp cocktail was fresh and not a chewy shrimp in the bunch! Highly recommend Randolphs signature salad, luscious yet light. Lobster was sweet melt in your mouth, my filet was fork tender, didn't even have to chew! Then came the warm, mouton chocolate dessert....with vanilla ice cream! Made you want to call your Mother!
Many thanks to the entire staff, our experience was outstanding!!
We will be back and sure to recommend Randolphs to our many friends and family!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
We were very excited to eat at randolphs on New Year's Eve. We had a large party and they were very accommodating to fit our group together even tho it's not a large restaurant. Unfortunately when we arrived they were only serving a special "New Years eve" menu that hadn't been mentioned anywhere on the website or while making reservations/speaking on the phone... The price was $65/person and while I'm sure it would have been amazing, our party was not prepared to pay more than $30-40 per person at the most and we were unable to stay and eat. I felt very badly for leaving esp on New Years when booking is tight, however I really do believe they need to make mention of the higher prices for special dates. The regular menu is very affordable and sounds delicious and we would love to come back again for it.
Had the restaurant's New Years Eve special menu. Every course was superb!
Nice dining room but food was just okay and it was an exceptionally long wait considering there were only six entrees to choose from. Probably won't go back.
Wonderful place for Christmas dinner!
