Been to Randolph's many times and the experience this visit was underwhelming. Were there to celebrate a birthday and were seating on the patio. It was dark and the only way to read the menu was with the aid of our cell phones. A dog of a hotel guest on the third floor about the patio parked constantly and the restaurant staff only addressed the issue when I finally complained. Ordered calamari... it was greasy and limp. FOr being a birthday dinner, the wait staff were mostly absent and took way too long in serving us. For being one of our favorite spots in the past, this experience really missed the mark
Food is pretty good for a hotel restaurant. Atmosphere is nice and cozy. The service could be slightly better, but I say that about almost everywhere.
The food was amazing and although pricey, the food was more than worth the price. The atmosphere is great for a romantic meal. Fresh roses on the table added a very elegant touch.
Randolph's has become one of our favorites. We took my sister for her birthday and brought along my older son and his girlfriend as well this time. They were all so impressed with the food, the service, the ambiance, everything! We had appetizers, wine, salads, main course, sorbet, dessert, and espresso. And all of it was top-notch, as always.
Wonderful as always, a wonderful experience. One of the FEW places downtown where you can actually carry on a conversation. I'm so tired of the concrete floors, walls and all hard surfaces to create a busy atmosphere. It just drives folks like me away! The weekly specials are allways special. I'm always impressed with this "hotel restaurant" if you can call it that as a great place off the beaten path of downtown wannabees.
Excellent service by our entertaining waiter Justin. Nice ambiance with a pianist playing soothing music. Lovely dinner overall!
a very elegant setting, unique treats from the chef, fireplace. My girlfriend and i enjoy this spot very much, especially in the winter when the snow falls
This place is great. We always have terrific service, fantastic food and the atmosphere is really nice. We have always enjoyed Randolph's and have not a single thing negative to say. 5 stars.
Everything was perfect. I haven't been able to say that about a restaurant in a long time!
It was just ok- many things were forgotten. The server was nice. We generally go to Randolph's for the wow factor- it simply wasn't there this time.
Overall it was a nice restaurant. It is big and has outdoor seating options. The food tended to be higher end but was more average in taste and presentation.
Seemed like kind of a hoity restaurant for hotel patrons. Was interesting to visit but would not necessarily go back. We seemed to get relatively slow service as it took almost 3 hours to get all of our courses served. Nice restaurant overall but kind of pricey.
A very creative chef. Excellent desserts also.
We went in for the salad feature of the week. My friend loves the calamari there.
Randolph's food is superb! Always creative and delicious. Affordable and good wine list.
I had to ask the busboy to get our waiter several times, as there seemed to be only 3 waiters in the entire restaurant. Free valet parking would have been good if there had been a valet at the door.
Great food and service. Chef's choice dish was excellent. Definitely a date place.
Average food and and way over-priced. Iced tea is $3 (and we were not offered a refill), and nothing comes with a $9 sandwich. $3 for a cup of coleslaw or a handful of chips, $5 for a side-salad. Virtually no attention from our server after he took our order, except to ask if everything was okay as he cleared our dishes (someone else delivered them).
Having had great lunches and dinners at Randolph's over the past year, I was sorely disappointed in the Mother's Day brunch in the ballroom. My server did not speak English, so I did not get the mimosa I ordered and I had to ask a different server to provide us with new silverware when the previous plate and silver were removed. The food was also lacking. For the same price, the Brown Palace brunch serves at least 4 times the food, with alot more choices in every category. My prime rib was tough (and no jus!), as was the breakfast sausage and the piece of chicken I had was extremely dry. There were only two salad choices and no potatoes at all. I will say that the desserts were the saving grace of the meal.
The brunch was way over priced. The food variety was limited and of poor quality. My family and I will not go there again.
very poor. the brunch was over priced and I found it very tacky that they charged for mamosas. the atmosphere was pretty lame. I'm pretty positive we'd never return.
We have dined at Denver's top restarants and we would definitely include this among them. Beautiful reception by the host and fabulous ambience from lighting to fresh roses to an array fo flatware. The service was outstanding my glass never got below three quarters full and every detail was attended to! THE MEAL!!! AMAZING! From chefs taste to creme brulee everything was plated beautifully and the tastes were exquisite. We were extremely satisfied and have alread been making plans to bring parents when they visit and have already told several foodie friends of our fabuous find! THANK you for a wonderful dining experience.
The restaurant was nice enough. Small and very quiet on the evening we were there. Food was fine. Nothing outstanding, but fair value for the price.
Had an early reservation with another couple. We were in a slight time crunch - service was efficient and our meals came quickly. Dinner salads blended great ingredients and flavors and were a great way to start the meal. The Cream of Mushroom soup however was bland. The entrees were very well presented and very good. The steaks were prepared to order and very flavorful and tender. The ladies had a Scallop entree and a Pork Tenderloing entree - which were also very good. Valet parking is convenient and complimentary - with the only hitch being a 5 minute delay in getting someone to take our
claim tickets after dinner.
Surprisingly good food. Both the buffalo tenderloin and the salt and pepper steak impressed us. Service was unsurpassed. It was very quiet during the week.
Good service...food was good, but not outstanding. Menu was fairly standard.
We went there for a Sunday brunch. They were literally empty (we got there at 11:30), so it was nice and quiet. Unfortunately, empty were the food stations as well....even though the brunch was going on until 2pm....
Always fabulous service at Randolphs. The servers are attentive and polite.
Dinner was awesome! Sweet potato & apple bisque, brined & seared chicken breast w/herb spatzle & summer veggies, filet mignon w/ sherry roasted wild mushrooms & yummy *some-what crunchy* bread pudding sundae for 2! The restaurant had the dark wood finishes but it still felt warm and comfortable with the stone finishes and luxury fabrics. The mixed martini's were sooo smooth (amazing bartender) & the service was 6 stars! The manager visted twice throughout the night and consistently made his rounds throughout the restaurant to make sure all the food was being brought out on time for the dining patrons. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!! I'll definitely be going back!
The food was excellent. Service compared to 90% of the restaurants I dine at was superb. Unfortunately I had been most recently to Kevin Taylor in the Teatro and to the Palace Arms, both of which for me were a notch above.
Very accommodating and outstanding service! We had a mixture of vegan and vegetarian guests in our party of 12 and they were able to offer a variety of dishes to them.
This is a restaurant you just don't hear about for some reason. Living in the neighborhood, I decided to try it out, and was pleasantly surprised and impressed. The room is elegant, the service attentive but not overbearing, and all courses from the amuse bouche to the root beer float were outstanding. The calamari appetizer is not to be missed.
Fabulous service! A quiet, warm, and elegant retreat. Would highly recommend this if you seek a relaxing, no-stress finish to a work week (Friday night). The service was outstanding and the amuse bouche was amazing. I recommend the beet salad (it's huge, so consider sharing it as a starter). I look forward to returning to this restaurant.
Had a very nice lunch at Randolph's. The food was quite good. Don't like being nickle & dimed on side dishes. When I pay $9 for a sandwich, it should come with fries. But overall it was nice and the food was quite tasty. The service was excelent. Will try again for dinner.
I suggest the mussels to start. They are full of flavor & compliment most of the entrees. The wine selection is pretty good & Monday nights all bottle are 1/2 priced. The staff is friendly & service was great. Great to dine next to the warm fireplace on chilly nights.
This was our first visit and we were extremely pleased with the wonderfully prepared food and excellent service. Our server and the assisting bussers, provided just the right amount of attentiveness without being intrusive. All courses were well prepared and seasoned to complement the primary ingredients. The wine pairings were generally on target, although in the future we will probably make our own selections from the pleasingly diverse yet well-balanced and manageable wine list.
We did not appreciate that the bill automatically contained a 15% gratuity (for a dinner for 2 people), AND that the credit card signature slip had another prompting to leave a gratuity. Very sneaky! We will not be dining at this restaurant again.
Enjoyed Randolph's for the first time during Restaurant Week. Having enjoyed Restaurant Week in Washington D.C. and Denver over the years, our meals at Randolph's take top prize. They absolutely went above and beyond with small extras not normally seen during such a promotion. Kudos all around!
Food was very good; portion sizes small but appropriate to a several course meal; service was excellent. All employees were very friendly, helpful; server was extremely attentive and very friendly.
Tried Randolph's for Restaurant Week on a Monday night. Dining room was nearly empty, service was excellent. Food (and pacing of food) was perfect.
Two thumps wayy up.
Food was OK. I will return hoping that it will be better. the fireplace was not going although it was snowing. I am sure it was because there weren't a lot of people, but it would have added to the atmosphere. The table was wobbly (the glass top). Other friends that were not in our group complained about the same.
