Rancho Pinot Ratings and Reviews
We visit Scottsdale almost yearly from Michigan and always make a point of coming here. Who would think that a strip mall restaurant could have such good food and innovative dishes. We have stopped in at least 4 times and would not miss coming here on our next trip. Great wine offerings and desserts.
We have been going to the restaurant for many years, and found it to be outstanding.
But, (sadly) this year’s experience
Proved to be disappointing.
We waited over 40 minutes for our
The noise level was unacceptable. I had requested a quiet table.
I very much liked my salad!!
Since we were traveling to Phoenix, a foodie friend highly recommended we go to Rancho Pinot. The waiter was very knowledgeable, friendly and gave great recommendations. My wife and I shared the quail appetizer and neither of us were disappointed. It was well prepared and very tasty. For our entrees we had grilled swordfish and a veal chop that was one of the evening’s special. Both were good sized portions and memorable. We finished off the evening with an excellent homemade dessert. Next time in Phoenix we will definitely return.
I got a salad that I did not order. I sent it back as I didn't care for the one that was delivered. When I got the salad I ordered there was only oil on it with no acid. Our birthday guest did not care for the special that night of pate. Our other guest really enjoyed his scallops meal even though it was a very small entre. They did not offer a dessert with a candle for our birthday guest even though we said it was a birthday celebration when we made the reservation. I enjoyed our first visit we had several weeks before but this visit was pricey and sub par food.
Rancho Pinot is our "go to" restaurant when we want to have a casual date night out, or catch up with friends over the perfect dinner. The menu is well designed, with many choices in each category to satisfy everyone's taste. The wine list offers good selections to pair with menu options. The service is always excellent, attentive, but not rushed. But the main attraction is the food! The menu changes on a regular schedule, and it always includes some favorites, something new to try, and of course the desserts are not to be missed!
What a treasure! We dine out often and had never tried this restaurant before. It was a totally outstanding dining experience. Menu options seem to have unique blends of ingredients...each dish was exquisitely delicious...and we are not "fancy food" lovers. We have already invited some friends to go back there with us to dine soon in the Future.
The greatest food in The Valley! We live half of the year in Phoenix, and the other half of the year in Chicago. If Rancho Pinot were located in Chicago, you would have to wait in line to get inside every day of the week. The food is that spectacular. The long time chef/owner oversees each ingredient and each dish that comes out of her exceptional kitchen. Love is the obvious ingredient in everything that is served. This is food that is thoughtful, flavorful and above all delicious. Throw in a tight knit/spot on friendly wait staff, along with a well curated wine list and perfectly mixed drinks (along with a subtle, handpicked music playlist which is just far enough in the background) and you have what is a truly world class dining experience. Rancho Pinot is a must stop for anyone craving tremendous food in a lovely setting. It is our absolute favorite restaurant in the entire state of Arizona.
As always, the food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and we enjoyed conversation because the ambient noise level was low. Two of us had the grouper, which was amazing. The dill, creme fraiche, horseradish sauce on the golden beets inspired me to try to recreate the dish at home. And from now on, the toffee date cake will be a regular dessert choice.
