Open kitchen, mesquite-fired grill, homemade ice creams & sorbets, artisan cocktails, wine cellar, wine-on-tap, draft beer.
Excellent service and incredible selections of fresh ingredient dishes. A nice selection of good, quality wines at affordable prices that pair well with the entrees. I would highly recommend this restaurant to friends and family
Wonderful service and food, as usual!
Great food, friendly service.
Ate at the bar and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Always love this restaurant! Wonderful wine list and wonderful food.
Excellent service and food Jillian was the best. Food was unbelievable. Will come back soo
I really feel guilty for missing the boat all these years on this fabulous neighborhood jam… We live close by and really have only recently discovered how wonderful it is and it is our new favorite little spot! And by the way the strawberry shortcake is off the charts!
First, when we arrived to a half filled restaurant we were given a table near the Men’s Rest Room. On asking to be relocated we were told that all the other tables were reserved. Only after reminding the restaurant that we also had a reservation did they re-locate us. Second, my entree (Grouper) was on the dry side and I had to request additional water 3 times. Salad was exceptional as was the espresso. Food service was very fast!
We thoroughly enjoyed the food and service was outstanding.
I love Rancho Pinot, #1 in the "Valley" as the Phoenix/Scottsdale metro area is called. Food is incredible and always perfectly prepared, the staff is so enthusiastic, engaging, fun and so in tune with its customers. I am always greeted by staff who remember me, even if it has been 4 weeks or more since my last visit. This time our wait person took the initiative to call me as I drove off to let me know that my guest had left something at the table. She knew who I was, found my name in their system obviously within 5 minutes of our departure. We were able to turn around and return promptly to retrieve the item. I have never had that happen to me, any where, ever! Wow!
Rancho Pinot is my #1 Go To in that area. No one else can come close. Here's to 25 more years of success and outstanding dining experiences!
This restaurant has been a Scottsdale landmark for many years and its reputation is well deserved. From the first greeting at the door you can feel the professionalism and attention to detail. Unlike many newer restaurants, the tables are well spaced and the noise level is pleasant. Décor is southwestern/eclectic and feels genuine. Of course, the most important thing is the food, and this is superb. There is an excellent selection of dishes on the menu all presented beautifully with innovative sides. This is definitely not a cheap meal but is well worth the extra dollars. We will be back.
This is a popular spot with a good vibe. It gets noisy as the restaurant fills up. The menu is interesting and the food good. Prices are high.
Wonderful service and great food. Fresh and unique menu. Loved it!
Always a BEST 'go to' restuarant for food. Chrysa has the respect of MANY talented chefs and restaurateurs nationwide. To see rewievs complaining of 'politics' or some slight service woes is an injustice to Rancho Pinot. Obviously those reviewers are not local or do not dine there frequently/regularly. It's amusing, if not annoying, to read 1 and 2 star reviewers' comments when they are based one one dining experience. Never in 20 years of frequently dining at Rancho Pinot have I experienced poor service or food. It's consistent great food from an extremely talented owner/chef who retains the best staff. A true test of a good restuarant is time, and Chrysa's Rancho Pinot Grill has has offered deviously inspired dishes for over 2 decades.
Food expertly prepared. Creative, delicious. Quiet ambience perfect for visiting, catching up with old friends.
The food was terrific but waiting 1 hr an 10 Min for the entrees to be served took the edge off.
During that wait period our server never came to our table to console us. I had to get up from the
table and seek her out. Might have been a tough night in the kitchen, we're understanding, just talk to us.
Rancho Pinot was by far the best restaurant we went to during our time in Arizona. It is an older, more sophisticated crowd than some of the trendier places in town, so we got a little side-eye when we walked in with our kids. If your children are foodies and can sit patiently, you will be fine, but this is not a chicken fingers and ketchup kind of place. The menu was not huge, but that is because the quality of each item was so good. Each drink or dish had some touch added by the chef or bartender that was home-made or garden fresh (the brandied cherries in the old-fashioned or the geranium leaf to garnish the ice cream). The cocktails were hand crafted, definitely not a pre-mix concoction, and the wine list was excellent. The only reason I didn't give 5/5 stars on the food was that my husband didn't like his salad (grilled seafood salad) as it was very acidic...almost not able to be eaten. The burrata salad and the beet salad were very good as were our main courses. The portions were not huge, but were very reasonable and we were able to even enjoy a dessert (ice cream and date cake- get the date cake!) A lovely experience overall.
First time there. It was fabulous. will go again soon.
Always a pleasure.
Service was wonderful!
This restaurant after many visits can be rated as outstanding for any occasion.
Rancho Pinot is one of the most recommended restaurants in Scottsdale. I'm afraid we don't share the same enthusiasm about it as do others. Our reservation was honored promptly and we were seated after only a very short delay. Our server was exceptionally welcoming and was the highlight of our visit. The menu is diverse as is the wine list. The bartenders are quite good. Our starter salad was nice. But our main courses were disappointing. My wife characterized her gnocchi in lamb ragu as "chili with a few gnocchi." My Nonni's Sunday Chicken had good flavor, but the chicken was overdone and was swimming in a broth -- a strange way to present sautéed chicken. We passed on dessert. If the main courses had been presented correctly, this would have been a good visit. Alas, they were not and it was not. I doubt that we'll be back.
So so good. Always consistent fabulous food. Great friendly service. Good wine. Loved the local pink mushrooms and date cake. Top of my list of great places to eat.
The food at Rancho Pinot is very special. It's creative and consistently outstanding. Similarly, the service at this restaurant has always been outstanding-- food server was friendly and very professional.
We took friends who had never been there and they loved it!
We have been dining at Rancho Pinot for many years and never disappoints us. Always wonderful!
Charming restaurant with excellent food. Great place to take friends.
It is just one of my most favorite restaurants, I am never disappointed.
Excellent options and flavorful food-attentive service- great drinks
One of our favorite dining spots. Always amazing food and great wine selection. Servers are wonderful. Love it all!
My mother took me here when it first opened, many years ago, and I wandered in a few months ago just to have a quick bite. Still amazing, serving wonderful fresh dishes with creativity and charm. You can have a couple of appetizers for a light meal or go for the full feast. In season, there are zucchini blossoms, one of nature's special gifts to us. I always get the veal chop when available--few get the balance between enhancing but not covering up the delicate flavor of the meat. Two fish preparations always available and at least one vegetarian option. They have a top notch bar, too. Something for everyone.
Not much more to say than Rancho Pinot is outstanding. The attention to detail from the spiced grapes on the homemade pate plate to the amazing sauce on the grouper special, is superb. The seasonal freshness and the delicious vegetable offerings are healthy and delicious so the cashew cake dessert goes down with a little less guilt!
Another excellent meal at Rancho Pinot. Great food choices, great wine choices.
Excellent neighborhood gem
A delightful experience. The food was delicious and the service was great. Will definitely return.
Every detail from the kitchen was spot on delicious. Bravo!
It gets tougher to write any, additional, meaningful things about this restaurant. Simply put: if you want to share good food, in a pleasant setting, with attentive service with the focus being on the friends you are sharing it with, THIS is the place. No overly manipulated, 'designer' food or fluttering insincere servers. The dining experience supports quality time with friends, not the other way around. Love this place.
This is one of our perrenial favorites, and while you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, I always want the seasonal salad and usually the pan roasted seafood. On this trip we shared the pate and the salad, and hubby had the pasta with chicken meatballs ans escarole . You just can’t find a better place for seasonal veges and the freshest seafood! The servers always are helpful with the wine list and in desribing the menu items. We always recommend this restaurant to our local friends and our out of town guests.
My favorite restaurant and chef
There's not much to say except when you want a very good meal made of very high quality ingredients, in a very nice place with excellent service at very reasonable prices, then go to Rancho Pinot. It's that kind of place.
Excellent restaurant, subtly sophisticated cooking. Not quite comfort food, but unstuffy and not overly precious, simply each dish and each element done just right. Accolades for chef well deserved, reflects well on the Beard judges that they went beyond the flashy, Instagram sort of chef to recognize someone doing this sort of understated but extremely well executed cuisine
