Rancho Alegre Cuban
Great food. Fun atmosphere.
Food was excellent and service was outstanding. Would definitely return!
Best Cuban food ever! Great service and atmosphere!
Excellent food and service. We enjoyed the live music as well. Will definitely be back and would strongly recommend.
The one word I would use to describe this restaurant is, marginal. Three out of four in our party elected not to finish their meals. While the music was good, it was loud for the acoustics. We had a reservation but still had a substantial wait for a table. Because we took out of town guests here, the experience was just that much more disappointing. I was embarrassed.
Food was great. Music was nice. Service was good as well.
Overall, food was good. Had a chicken dish that was tasty but slightly overcooked and dry. Music was nice touch.
Loved this place! The food, service and music were outstanding!
Food and service was outstanding, as usual. It was date night and me and my wife shared the pargo frito (flash fried whole fish) with black beans, yellow rice, plantains, and sangria. Could it be any better?
Great food (the seafood-filled pineapple was great, and so was the fried grouper), great music, and a fun vibe.
Did not receive Open Table points for this reservation.
Overall good experience. Would to have more room while eating. Seemed like everyone was squashed.
Do not miss this place. Absolutely great food and very reasonable prices. We will go back again when in Savannah.
Lovely Cuban restaurant, perfect for groups or families. Great jazz band was a definite perk!
Awesome atmosphere and amazingly delicious food! I highly recommend.
Great food and music! Perfect Valentine’s dinner. It’s a nice restaurant to dine in when visiting the area.
Their slogan is "best Cuban north of Miami" and it's true. The place is always packed on the weekend with good reason. It's a local favorite. The food is unpretentious yet outstandingly good and simple, just like you would expect from Cuban food. Live jazz spices up Friday and Saturday nights and although its not Latin, per se, it somehow works. Great Cuban flavor, relaxed casual environment, live music, and the best mojitos in town. An excellent casual restaurant in the heart of downtown Savannah. Reservations needed.
Love eating here.. Food never disappoints The Chimichurri Steak is wonderful
The food was delicious, our server was attentive and the atmosphere was great.
It was an absolutely wonderful experience. It made for am even better anniversary evening. Thank you.
One of our savannah favorites. Love the band on Friday and Saturday nights!
Food is authentic Cuban. Was disappointed when I ordered (and paid for) grouper but was served a small white fish filet that was obviously not a grouper. The meal was still tasty but not sure the value met the price. Live music is fun but a little too loud for the space in my opinion.
We have eaten here many, many times. Great menu, wine list and service staff. Unfortunately, we found the 1/2 chicken almost inedible as it was as dry as the Sahara.
Our server was wonderful. Our fault that we did not make it known to as I know she would’ve taken care of the problem right away. Just would’ve expected the dish to be of the same quality as we’ve had on most occasions in the past. It seems that when I have ordered the 1/2 chicken in the past is always a bit dry. It is so flavorful though just wish it could be just more moist.
New Years Eve
Great food and fun environment. Will definitely eat here again.
Excellent evening !! Music was wonderful ! Food was really good !!
Como siempre fue un placer. As always it was a pleasure.
We always love coming to Rancho Alegre. The atmosphere is warm and energetic and the food is down to earth and delicious. The service may sometimes be lacking by a little bit, but everyone is always super friendly and that more than makes up for it.
Good food, comfortable ambience and reasonable prices.
Absolutely delicious food! The best Cuban food we’ve ever eaten. Excellent service.
The service was very slow even though the restaurant was not that busy. The food was mediocre. Someone in our party ordered mussels and many of them were not opened causing some concern about eating them. When brought to the servers attention she simply shrugged and didn't think it was a big deal. We had to flag our server down several times for beverage service. Not a great experience at all.
We drove from Atlanta to spend the weekend for my daughter's 16th birthday so she could hear Derek Brown who was a guest play . The cozy atmosphere allowed her to meet him, get his autograph and he even dedicated a song to her. I couldn't imagine anything better for her. Thanks for the memories that will last a lifetime for her.
The food is great every time, my son-in-law always wants to eat there when he and my daughter come home.
Best Cuban food to be found outside of Miami
Birthday with friends
It was great place for me and my date the music was good and so was the food only problem was the space provided
Incredible food! I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting or living in Savannah.
Live jazz music on Friday was a nice surprise. The music was perfect and not so loud that you couldn't carry on a conversation. The food was only marginal, nothing to write home about.
Lunchtime was quiet, maybe due to the construction and difficulty parking. That said, food here is always delish. The chicken is so tender it falls off the bones. Pulled pork and shredded beef, Cuban style are also delicious. Brand and sweet plantains make the meal!
Very nice and warm service!
