Rancho Alegre Cuban
Great food, great drinks, great music, great atmosphere. Had a great time!
As always, Rancho Alegre was outstanding. The food, the fun, and the service werel all excellent. Listening to the Jody Espina group while we dined was icing on the cake.
great meal. great value. had enough left over for two more meals. staff was very courteous and friendly - will be back again soon
Great ambiance and wonderful food. Awesome mixed drinks and great service. The only thing was the jazz band was so loud no conversation was possible. But we enjoyed the music and wonderful foid
Too many people lined up for take out alcoholic drinks in front of the stage. Blocking the view of the jazz performance. They didn’t seem to make the jazz performance high priority as the integrated part of the restaurant. The performance was excellent. They deserve to play at a better place until the restaurant pays more attention to their showcase. I went there because of the live jazz music and the food and to have an enjoyable evening. The food was good. This place can be liked the good time jazz restaurant in Savannah which is currently closed. In fact their food is better than good time jazz.
Got our family in on busy Sunday holiday weekend night with minimal wait. Great staff and great service. Nice gem found in Savannah!
The food and drinks are great! Great find of authentic Cuban Latin food!
What a fabulous restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and the people were so friendly. A new favorite.
Overall one of our best times. Our guests had the best time. Food , entertainment and service all excellent.
Fantastic food, drinks, and live band! Always a good time :)
Fun night with great food and drinks.Very generous portions. We enjoyed the house made sangria carafe. Friday and Saturday nights live jazz is the best!
Fun atmosphere. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. Live music on Saturday was a bonus! Generous portions of authentic Cuban dishes. The mojitos were fabulous!!
Best Mojito in years and wonderful food as we are regulars when visiting Savannah!
Completely amazing for my first time to have Cuban food ...loved it
We've been wanting to go here for a while and so glad we did on our last visit. We are from South Florida and this is by far one of the best Cuban restaurants we have been to. Food was excellent, service was great. We were there on a Saturday night and the place was full. Really enjoyed the music which was great!! Can't wait to go back on our next visit!!
Food quality and taste has changed. Been here several times and was great. Waited 20 mins even with reservation. Service was not up to snuff and mojito is garbage for it being a Cuban restaurant
Amazing food at a great price and excellent service as well.
The staff was super friendly and definitely understanding considering it was NYE and we arrived late to our reservation. We had the Plato Mixto and the Vegetales Asados, both dishes looked like they were prepared with care and both were delicious. Can't wait to go back and sample the rest of the menu.
The food was delicious. They had music which was very enjoyable
The hostess seemed a little frazzled and wasted time seating people. There were plenty of empty tables and she could have easily sat several parties at the same time, but she would sit one party, come back or go to the back and then sit another group etc. This was the first impression and it was strange. There were lots of groups waiting to be seated...
Our waiter was great, the drinks delicious and the food amazing. We had the lechon and the palomilla.
The jazz trio was really good. The only bad thing about that was that you could not really talk, but was good because you could just relax and listen to the music.
Good food, authentic Cuban flavors.
I can’t even describe how good my meal was. I ordered the arroz con gandules and a mojito. The server was fast with our orders. Let me tell you...this meal fed my soul. I left so satisfied and in a great mindset. I’ll be returning!
Excellent food and service.
Great food and service. Live music and a very busy restaurant. It's filled with tons of tables and crowded but they make it work well.
I love This place. Food is so good! There is nothing not to like about it!! Favorite place in Savannah for me!
Food was good but the music was too loud to enjoy my dinner and my friends
Very nice dinner spot
This was one of the Best Cuban Restaurants North of Miami. I was amazed at the Portions and the taste. I was in town for a day trip but this is now one of me Favorites when I visit Savannah again. The Food Servers and Live Music is Fantastic. Please go to visit.
Their grouper in green sauce and the mojito made with real peppermint made the night. Fabulous flavors and friendly service!
We were vacationing in Savannah for the weekend. Visited the restaurant last year for lunch and loved it so decided to come back this year for dinner. The music was fitting for the establishment, our waitress Ana was pleasant and never rushed us and the food the food was delicious. We highly recommend Rancho Alegre Cuban!!
This is our favorite Cuban restaurant outside of Ybor City. The food is always delicious and plentiful. The sangria is always spot on.
Paella was nice, Cocktails were awesome, reservation was not required. Only bottled beer unfortunately.
Am happy for this place that they are celebrating being open for 20 years. We were excited to find a Cuban restaurant to go to in Savannah, since the one we loved in our city shuttered a number of years ago. Sadly, we were overall disappointed with our choice to go here. Unfortunately, their being around for two decades must be because there is no other Cuban restaurant in Savannah to compete with them. Although we found the service to be good, the prices on wine to be great and the ambiance to be fine (and enjoyed the jazz band on a Friday night), we thought the food itself to be mediocre Cuban fare compared to that we've had in other places. We were told that items on the menu, that failed to come with what was ordered, were due to suppliers discontinuing them. However, since the menus were at least a year old (it said that 2018 was their 19th year in business), that they could have had new menus printed, provided a disclaimer somewhere what items were no longer available or found new suppliers. Overall, so far as the food goes, we would have been better served getting something to go from Publix and eating in. Hopefully the restaurant is able to overcome the deficits they have, but until they do I would not recommend going there.
We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation and were seated right away. The dining area is unpretentious and tastefully decorated with wall hangings evocative of Cuba and the Caribbean. We were delighted to see a small stage with a live band performing jazz and blues numbers. Where can you have delicious Cuban food and listen to local musical talent and not pay a fortune in cover charges? We started with fried plantains and enjoyed grouper and paella valenciana for the mains. All generous portions: the paella was enough for two! My wife said she’d never had a better flan for dessert! The place doesn’t look like much from the outside but you will be happy you dined there.
I grew up in Miami and learned about Cuban food from two Cuban aunts when I was a boy. I have eaten at dozens of Cuban restaurants and most of the best ones have been in New York, Tampa and Miami.
The food at Rancho Alegre is genuine Cuban and all the choices I tried on a recent visit were very good. I found the bread served to be not like the Cuban bread I am used to having in Tampa, Miami or New York, but in fairness, I have not found good Cuban bread anywhere outside of those locations.
In all, it was a wonderful dining experience.
The food was delicious, and they had a delicious vegetarian dish with sautéed veggies and plantains that was super yummy!
Great food and service! The live music was a surprise!!
Food is good, to much noise, the band loud, price a bit high, service good
Delicious! Great food and enjoyed the live music. Fast service as well, and amazing drinks.
It's always a great experience. The Live music and food is great.
