Had a wonderful dinner in celebration of my daughters birthday. Joshua was wonderful. He was patient and answer all of our questions. The food was delicious especially the new sweet potato ice cream.
I've been to every steakhouse in Abq, this was by far the best steak I've had, super impressed.
I was disappointed bc decor was super outdated and food taste and presentation was subpar for the high price. Not “upscale” as expected for our anniversary dinner.
Waiter was very friendly though. No complaints on service.
Terrible food off an interesting menu. Truly great brave service in an eclectic space with horrid food.
This place is the best in New Mexico. I would recommend to anyone
This was our first visit to Rancher's Club of New Mexico and we absolutely loved it!! This steakhouse has a Texas theme to it and serves up a delicious 18-ounce ribeye that's made for sharing. Try adding the sauteed shrimp -- yummy!
Very nice dinner with friendly service
My wife and I are long-time Rancher's Club (RC) patrons. To us, RC was a special place. RC was where we opted to go on special "dress-up" occasions and to entertain and impress our guests. However, we have observed a marked decline in the service, the ambiance, and the skillfulness of food preparation over the last several years. On our most recent visit, the music was discordant jazz which was played too loudly, and not conducive to a relaxed dinner. RC used to have a very gracious maitre d' who greeted diners, provided information on menu items, made wine recommendations, and coordinated the wait staff. Now a waitress arrives and says, "Hi, I'm ____, and I'll be your server this evening." Just like any other restaurant in town. Nothing special about that.
I remember when a coat and tie was required to enter RC. The RC website indicates that there is a business casual dress code. Now, it appears anything goes. On our recent visit, people were admitted with t-shirts, jeans, and tennis shoes. We have been to RC when shorts, sandals, and spaghetti tops were permitted in the dining area.
Food preparation was mediocre at best on our recent visit. There are much less expensive restaurants in Albuquerque that provide better service and better food preparation.
We have many fond memories of RC over the years, but my wife and I agree that RC no longer meets our expectations. We will miss RC.
Overall we were disappointed with our experience. Forums, at least this is an occasion restaurant and it did not measure up. Our entree’s and Salads were wonderful. Our server was really lacking in personality as well as attentiveness. Overall not the caliber of service most would anticipate for a restaurant like this. It’s doubtful we will return.
Love this restaurant! I recommend this place to all.
We had a fantastic time! The food was great, the service was incredible. Our server was very attentive and helpful with our meal selections. My steak was a perfect rare+. Management was exceptional as well. Would recommend for anyone visiting Albuquerque.
Outstanding food and service. Would highly recommend.
Out waiter iris was strange. Friendly but there were a few awkward moments where she should have had a follow up question but stood there on silence. Their drink menu was still Christmas themed which was weird.
Bison filet is excellent and service is outstanding
Loved the atmosphere of this place. I do wish that they had seated us at a quieter spot though. That being said it wasn't super loud, but it wasn't necessarily quiet either. Not until it died down at least, at which point the noise volume was perfect. The food was phenomenal, and the waiter had a bit of an edge to him, which made for a good conversation piece. Nothing against him, he did an amazing job of making sure me and my girlfriend were taken care of.
The staff the food was awesome
My husband & I love this restaurant, the service is great, the food is amazing & the atmosphere is a step back in time, and it keeps us going back.
Expected a fine dining experience but table location was terrible especially when I had set reservations almost 2 months ahead. I have no intention of going back to this restaurant. This was our 33 anniversary and probably worst experience, I could have gotten a better experience at any other restaurant. The hostess acted like she didn’t care, as not her problem the experience at the Ranchers Club was not as expected. Not sure they should be part of open table. The meal and service were average, nothing special.
This was another wine dinner. It was a smaller group this time, but the people that were there were fantastic and we had one of the most enjoyable evenings so far. As usual the parings were great and the portions adequate. They used all New Mexico wines and chef made dishes that complimented each. How can any meal not be fabulous that starts with popcorn ice cream!
This place was phenomenal. I was expecting the food to be good, but not nearly as amazing as it was. It was perfect. Everything was fantastic.
One of our favorite "goto" restaurants for special occasions. The staff members are always amazing to us.
No service in lounge area. Bar tender said it wasn’t, his job to service.
A bit disappointed since we were hoping for the same oysters Rockefeller that we used to order a few years back and discovered that they were not the same. We were also hoping for the bananas foster dessert, and they no longer offer that. Later we heard they had a new chef so that’s why the bananas foster is no longer available and the oysters were not the same. The service was great though.
Beautiful restaurant and ambience. The amuse bouche was a nice surprise, a bite sized beef Wellington. The rib eye steak was outstanding. The only downside was that the baked potato was lukewarm but our waiter brought hot ones right away.
As always, wonderful experience! We went in celebration of a friends promotion and knew Ranchers would hit the spot. Thank you Iris for your attentiveness. We will return for our next celebration.
Ranchers club has changed radically in the recent years. The environment is still wonderful. The Table captains and professional servers are gone. No more presentation of food by table captain. Server was not attentive, i.e. didn't check back as one would expect at Ranchers Club of old. No longer a special place to take business guests due to servers. Will try Ruth's Chris next time.
Interesting menu with good food and service. Prices are not cheap, but consistent with the service, food, and ambiance.
Our waiter was amazing his name was Evan great service, very kind, highly recommended We came to celebrate my birthday and Evan went out of his way to make this an extra special dinner highly recommend The Ranchers Club.Ask for Evan
The restaurant needs to be upgraded looks very old and dirty inside. The waiter we had was OK brought out the wrong food from what we ordered told us to keep but never brought out the correct food and we were still charged. The waiter also took the plate that still had food on it while we were still eating. I could see if the plate was empty. The price of the food was somewhat pricey for the value. Would not go back or recommend.
Food was good, service was excellent but the place certainly needs a good cleaning and updated decor.
Wonderful evening. Floyd’s service was exceptional. The decor is fab.
Dessert of creme brûlée with a Gran Marnier was perfect.
Both had the Rib-eye. Melt in your mouth delicious!
We have been going to Rancher’s for New Year’s Eve dinner for about 20 years and have never been disappointed. The monkfish special was very good as was my ribeye. We didn’t order the special New Years menu, but it was a 5 course dinner that looked good but I was really in the mood for a ribeye.
Jacy and her team at Rancher's Club are the Best of New Mexico!
We always have the Best Experience when we dine at Ranchers.
The Service and Management are Exceptional!
The appetizers and food are outstanding!
New Year's Eve was a very busy holiday for the Rancher's Club Team, and they were all on there "A" Game. Not once did we feel like we weren't being taken care of. The food was superb with the heavy load on the kitchen.
A variety of delicious foods! Extensive wine list had just what we wanted. Service was excellent. We will definitely return..
Service was great. Food was excellent except hash browns were really dry. Ambiance hasn't changed in years (interior not updated). Price was typical for this kind of restaurant but there are better ones in Albuquerque with better pricing and food is as good if not better. In my opinion.
As usual, food and service were excellent. Always enjoy our time there.
Food was very good, especially the game dishes. Service was excellent. Quiet dining area with a large fireplace. Ambience was turn of the century upscale western. Great place to celebrate special occasions.
Two years ago we had a very pleasant and positive dining experience so I decided to take my wife to this restaurant to celebrate our 57th wedding anniversary. The food was average or below, not what we were expecting. The service was ok but not like we were expecting compared to our previous experience. For a Friday night the room was less than half filled. The experience made us feel that maybe a change in management or ownership had taken place, and not for the best. For spending over $175.00 for two people it was not worth it and we will not be going back or recommending it.
As always, the food, service and setting were excellent. The pianist/guitarist in the adjacent bar. area was also outstanding.
