Ranch Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
We had a large party, so we were seating in the back, which is VERY loud. The acoustics are horrible back there, so I would suggest that you ask to be seated elsewhere.
We waited over an hour for our food, which was really good once it arrived.
It is expensive, so the noise level and the wait for our food made it less than amazing.
Here, one can reliably expect very good steaks and excellent service. While I think the price point is a bit high given the somewhat unimaginative execution of the dishes--to be fair, it is a steak house, and makes no pretensions of being anything else--I find myself returning again and again, principally because of the consistent quality of both the food and the service.
I have business associates travel to OKC to work and they always insist on dining at the Ranch. The Dry Aged Ribeye is wonderful, and they have a great compliment of sides. Dylan took care of us and his recommendations made the evening. The Ranch has a very relaxing atmosphere with awesome service. I would recommend allowing time to enjoy the patio if the weather is nice for a cocktail before dinner. Best steakhouse in OKC hands down.
We took my father here for his 61st birthday. The food was amazing. The steaks were perfectly cooked and seasoned to the point where we didn't need any salt. Dad had the Aged Ribeye. Her said the taste was worth the extra money. We had the gartlic mashed potatoes, green beans, creamed corn, and the ginger-cinnamon glazed carrots as sides. They were all delicious, no complaints. Finally, the waiter was great. He explained the entire menu and was very attentive. I would have like to see some sort of dress code, because the place is on the fancy side.
The food was amazing. We had a dry aged rib-eye and the 10oz filet. Sides were delicious...not too salty like a lot of please around town. Our server, Tony, was great. Energetic and touched the table the right number of times. Food was coursed out very well. It was a perfect first experience for us and we will be back!
My wife and I went to the Ranch Steakhouse again for our anniversary. And again we found it to be wonderful. The service was great... the atmosphere was great... and the food was better than great. Steaks were better than any we have had at any other restaurant. We are glad we went here and certainly plan to return.
The best steak, service, wine list and overall ambience make The Ranch my favorite restaurant for a nice meal in Oklahoma City. I've ordered the tenderloin each time I visit as nothing compares to the quality and taste. We enjoyed a complimentary dessert as it was my boyfriend's birthday which was not expected. The wait staff is wonderful, most have been there for years which speaks volumes about their employer. I could not have made a better selection for this special occasion/celebration. I'd give 10 stars if I could!
I've dined at the Ranch a few times and I'm just not impressed. The atmosphere is upscale but the service, as well as, the food just isn't up to par with establishments such as Three Forks, Perrys or even local eateries such as Mahogany or Red Prime.
We ordered escargot and it was unimaginative, the salads weren't much better and my NY strip was on the level I would expect from a lower end, chain restaurant (at best) In all fairness, my wife's filet was very good.
Overall the service matched the food, not great but rather, average to slightly below average.
I want to love this restaurant but the food and service just won't let me.
It was my 50th birthday and my husband wanted to try a new place, but this will be our last trip to Ranch Steakhouse. We had reservations, but our table wasn’t ready when we arrived, but the hostess didn’t even offer us the opportunity to wait in the lounge/bar area....we had to ask her if we would be able to wait without losing our reservation. We thought the table wasn’t ready because we used Open Table to request a more private table, if possible, or at least more out of the way of others so we could quietly celebrate. She seemed very put off by my question and if it hadn’t been a rainy evening, we might have left. But, we stayed and seated ourselves at the bar and waited for our table to be ready.
We were finally able to get a wine list from the bartender, and after having to settle up separately with him (I felt like the staff didn’t think we could afford to eat here and wanted to make sure we paid for the bottle of wine before we moved on to the meal...again, I felt like leaving) we were seated at our table. I was very upset, but not surprised, that my request wasn’t considered at all. Not only was our table not private, but we were seated right in the doorway of the area, so every server, busperson, and patron passed by our table. There was nothing remotely quiet about it....it was as though they did not care that we had made the request...maybe they don’t even read them. But if they don’t read the request, then why have them?
The server never introduced himself, he just went into the list of specials and quickly left the table before we could say anything. It was 20 minutes before he returned to take our order. I had researched steakhouses all day, so my husband and I were both ready before we even sat down...and, since our reservation was late, we were starving, Our server proceeded to argue with me about what I was having..I wanted the filet Oscar and he tried to tell me about something else that was “better” for me. Really?
Don’t request anything.
The food and service was awesome!! Could almost cut rib eye with a fork! Plenty of food- we split 1 appetizer, heirloom tomatoes, 1 ribeye, and the sampler sides. We still brought home food! Our server brought everything out in perfect order. Plan on coming back soon!
This was our second visit tontge Ranch, and I was disappointed this visit. I like my steak well done, however my steak was significantly charred, and dry. There was a couple bites that I almost chocked on because of how dry the steak was. The cream corn was heavy on the cream, and low on the corn, the Mac and cheese was dry. Definitely not the caliber of food you expect to get from the Ranch or for the amount of money you spend. The staff was amazing and very attentative, however our food was extremely slow to come to the table. Two tables sat down after our group of four, and was finished with their meal and dessert before we go our food. Next time I want to celebrate I do not plan to go to the Ranch. Makes me a little sad.
