Ranch Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
The ribeye was mediocre at best. I can get a much better steak elsewhere especially for over $40 alacart. Asparagus was mutilated by overlooking. Sides are limited. The setting and service however was fantastic. Try Mickey Mantles, Red Rock or even the Carne Asada at Mama Roja.
The Bone in pork ribeye was fantastic, but I’m a beef guy. Wished I would have ordered pork or fish?
My husband and I went to the Ranch for our 32 anniversary on December 2nd and it seemed like when they realized we weren’t going to do the whole shebang, (appetizer, salad, meal, wine, dessert) they paid little more attention to us. The other tables surrounding were given way more info/options than we were. We do enjoy dining at the Ranch and have eaten there many times prior but this time were underwhelmed by the service. We will return for special occasions unless it happens again.
Been here a couple of times and definitely the best steaks in town for sure! Was not a fan of the shrimp appetizer the server suggested (in fact the whole table was disappointed with it, pretty sure Pei Wei could have done it better). Wasn't happy with the calamari either, I have had much better at places like Upper Crust. The sides were generally good (creamed spinach, mac & cheese and mashed potatoes; don't add the truffle oil to the mac & cheese, too rich). The cheesecake was really good. Overall, if I go back, I will just have a steak and wine.
Fantastic food and service! Our server, Jayne, was incredibly knowledgable, patient, and her suggestions were fantastic. My steak was not first cooked to perfection, so I was given another 40 dollar steak for free and as well as a free dessert. Now I could not afford this besides for yearly anniversaries, but strongly considering it again for next year!
We were celebrating our anniversary, unfortunately The Ranch did not ask about our special occasion. The waiter was aloof and had a smart attitude. He never offered the specials (maybe because we were dining at 530...... I asked after I ordered my meal for my asparagus to be served aldente, the waiter relayed the message to the kitchen and followed up with, "I guess they think they are some kind of chef or something. You probably should not sit a party close to the kitchen if you do not want them to hear your snarky comments. My steak was coked as asked (medium rare) but had so much char it was not appetizing. When the waiter asked how the steak was, I said fine, he assumed I thought it was undercooked and told me to use my hot plate to my advantage...... All I wanted was less char on my steak
I found on 20+ occassions i have or would have given 5 stars. This visit was not that experience. Most servers have been there for years and you dont have to ask for good service, it is notmally great. This one was not as attentive or professional as usual. We had to flag down other servers to get refills, steak sauce etc.. .
The steak was served charred. I do order well done as normal, but they dont normally serve me a piece of charcoal. Appetizers and sides were awesome as usual.
I brought a friend from out of state that ordered his ribeye med rare and he said his was amazing..
Without any alcohol or wine, i expected alot more for a $200 price tag for a meal for 2.
I would return. But with more time to make them re cook the steak.. this visit i didnt have the time to wait another hour. In the past, the manager has always checked on us to ask how things were going. That didnt happen this visit. I was lucky to find a server period to fill a glass with water.
We had a large party, so we were seating in the back, which is VERY loud. The acoustics are horrible back there, so I would suggest that you ask to be seated elsewhere.
We waited over an hour for our food, which was really good once it arrived.
It is expensive, so the noise level and the wait for our food made it less than amazing.
Here, one can reliably expect very good steaks and excellent service. While I think the price point is a bit high given the somewhat unimaginative execution of the dishes--to be fair, it is a steak house, and makes no pretensions of being anything else--I find myself returning again and again, principally because of the consistent quality of both the food and the service.
I have business associates travel to OKC to work and they always insist on dining at the Ranch. The Dry Aged Ribeye is wonderful, and they have a great compliment of sides. Dylan took care of us and his recommendations made the evening. The Ranch has a very relaxing atmosphere with awesome service. I would recommend allowing time to enjoy the patio if the weather is nice for a cocktail before dinner. Best steakhouse in OKC hands down.
We took my father here for his 61st birthday. The food was amazing. The steaks were perfectly cooked and seasoned to the point where we didn't need any salt. Dad had the Aged Ribeye. Her said the taste was worth the extra money. We had the gartlic mashed potatoes, green beans, creamed corn, and the ginger-cinnamon glazed carrots as sides. They were all delicious, no complaints. Finally, the waiter was great. He explained the entire menu and was very attentive. I would have like to see some sort of dress code, because the place is on the fancy side.
The food was amazing. We had a dry aged rib-eye and the 10oz filet. Sides were delicious...not too salty like a lot of please around town. Our server, Tony, was great. Energetic and touched the table the right number of times. Food was coursed out very well. It was a perfect first experience for us and we will be back!
