Ranch House (Brasada Ranch)
We have been to Brasada Ranch house three times before for dinner. All the previous times were amazing! Great food and relaxing atmosphere. This last time we went- Valentine’s Day weekend. Was completely awful, to the point where we left before we could even order drinks. It was insanely loud in the restaurant with kids screaming & yelling all over. Our table was right next to all the madness & our waiter didn’t even offer to move us after we told him why we were leaving. Normally this doesn’t bother me, but who wants to spend money on a nice dinner with an obnoxiously loud atmosphere. Not sure if we will go back now.
For the price the food was not worth it. My $50 grilled ribeye was flavorless and the $38 risotto was watery and bland. I could have cooked the dishes better myself.
Overpriced, mediocre food that needed more seasoning, nice view, pleasant but unprepared staff. Be careful sitting near the doors if it's below freezing outside, you may get quite the breeze as you eat...
Lighting was too high but food was great!
This spot is a total gem! We loved everything about this location, the menu, and the overall vibe the restaurant gives out.
Brasada is such a beautiful place and a wonderful destination to stay or for a meal. I do wish, however, they would expand their menu to include not only healthier options but also options for those who do not eat meat. More greens, grains, etc. Especially so because there is a healthy focus to life out here. The staff truly wants to accommodate, let's see some changes in the menu!
Maybe if we were there for drinks it would have been better. Food service was slow and it was not very busy.
Amazing like always, wonderful people and service.
Was there for thanksgiving dinner the dinner was excellent just like home cooked ! Attentive service very nice place would definitely do this again!
We had dinner here once in the past. The food was excellent and we loved the ambience, so we decided to return for our anniversary. So glad we did! Same great locally sourced, expertly crafted food in the same lovely setting. While I remembered the staff being quite nice on our previous visit, I really feel they went above and beyond for this visit. They really worked to make our celebration special. I highly recommend this restaurant for their excellent food and outstanding customer service. I look forward to eating here again and hope some time soon to be able to stay at the hotel, which looks beautiful.
We love Brasada. Wife’s current favorite dish had a twist to it. Was missing something and wasn’t as great as it has been. Music was great! We couldn’t miss an opportunity to listen to good music at one of the top places we love to go. Perfect time for a date night.
We enjoyed Sunday brunch. The service was very good and the food was excellent. In the summer it is great to eat out on the deck. Yesterday was cold so we were indoors. There were too large parties which made the noise level higher than usual. Would definitely eat there again. We have also enjoyed lunch in the past.
We had a wonderful dinner! Attentive and personal service, that made us feel right at home. We loved sitting near the fireplace and our son had fun with the children’s menu and games. The view is spectacular! We were most impressed by the locally sourced food and exceptional local beer selection. I am not a beer drinker and found the wine list world class, one of the best in Central Oregon. Thank you for a memorable evening!
Great place, very friendly, and pretty good food. Only suggestion is to learn how to make a proper old fashioned. The atmosphere and ambience speaks to western/ranch alluding to a whiskey/bourbon feel and should know how to make it properly.
Beautiful facility, better view! Food was tasty and service was comfortable and timely
Horrible service by the your younger gentleman server. Brought out wings and cheese tray, no silverware or napkins provided. Asked steak medium, it was rare. Poorly seasoned, and lack of flavor on all dishes. Highlights, dessert.
came for a birthday dinner to the Ranch House as the other better choice is closed for the season. Steaks were good,, soup was too sweet, Ragu with pasta was different but not great. we had a reservation and asked for a view (window) seat but were seated in the middle of the room where the view was blocked. Waiter lacked enthusiasm but was ok. We left the smaller grandkids at home but had a large family with kids next to us and a young child at another table next to us who apparently didn't want to be there. Sad there was not a more Adult choice in October as we have come in the summer a few times and enjoyed the experience much more. Guess we will stick to happy hour outside and more formal meals during the summer time only......we love the area, and although we weren't entirely disappointed it was not the experience we anticipated or have enjoyed in the past. Still better than trying to beat the crowds in downtown Bend! . Maybe better next time.
By far the best view in Central Oregon. Seemed like they were not prepared for the crowds as service was slow. Food was good.
Limited options on the menu and while the dinner was great, Lunch the next day was only marginal.
We went there for dinner on my wife's birthday.
The restaurant and patio ambiance was excellent.
However the menu choices are very limited.
Since this is a ranch style restaurant, I expecting a few choices of steak cuts, instead there was one.
Nice view from the terrace. Food was good, but over priced for the quality. Would be nice if there were table clothes on the tables and cushions on the hard chairs.
Food is just ok for the price, you definitely pay for the location and ambiance which is amazing. The service was also very non-personal which was disappointing.
Service was poor. The pork tenderloin was overcooked and dry. Okay spot for a burger, but not much more.
We had dinner at BR about a year ago and had a terrible experience. Someone kindly contacted us and sent us a $50 gift certificate, so we decided to use it on our anniversary. We ended up at the Ranch House, which was my mistake, I meant to book the Range, but we still enjoyed the view from the deck. Perhaps being a lower-scale place, there were more kids, but fortunately it was too windy for the large parties that were seated near us. The waiter (Nate) was pretty lackadaisical, didn't tell us about any specials without us asking, took a long time to come back and ask us how our food was, just didn't really seem to enjoy his job (I heard a waitress approach the table next to us, introduce herself, talk about the specials, make a connection... it really highlighted the difference). The food was bland and unremarkable. Your location saves you, we may go out there sometime to enjoy drinks on the deck, but overall we were completely unimpressed. Please don't send another gift certificate.
Unfortunately, Brasada Ranch has two restaurants, The Ranch House and Range Restaurant and Bar. It was confusing on open table because the Range Restaurant and Bar, the better of the two, was not listed, so I mistakenly made reservations at the Ranch House. The food was not that good, and when I ordered the special, afterward, I was shocked at the $50 price for the special. The server did not mention the price. The noise level was terrible because of all the children. Open Table should make sure that under the description for each, the Ranch House is for children and burgers, and the Range Restaurant is more fine dining.
Everything was perfect - from the view to the food to the service.
The salads are the freshest around considering some of it comes from their garden. Never have had a bad meal
Great food, service was slow and negligent. Wait staff was nice but seemed to not know all that the kitchen had to offer. Maybe a new employee? Had multiple people wait on us. Not one dedicated server. For the wonderful location and upscale environment the whole evening felt very impersonal.
Understaffed, but the two servers/bartenders working were awesome. I was surprised that there were 3 people working resort check-in, but no reception in restaurant. Still had an enjoyable, yummy lunch.
Thinking we went on the wrong day (Sunday) for lunch. The food was OK but the service was lacking. When we finally got served, the waiter was OK as well. It's a pretty setting but to drive 35 minutes to get there from Bend....probably won't be doing that very often at all.
We once loved Brasada. The menu is very limited now the drinks weak and prices are high! Too bad we took friends from out of town there only to disappoint them too.
I prefer the Ranch House for brunch/weekend breakfast vs. dinner. Though The Range restaurant is exceptional for dinner (also at Brasada)
Staff and service was good. There were some really rowdy customers that made the night less than enjoyable though.
The food was good but it took an hour and a half to get our food and it wasn’t even that busy. I felt like the servers were pulled in many different directions because there were only two working as servers and at the bar. It was good but probably wouldn’t go there again.
Time to get our meals was really long wait! Not busy at the time we arrived, not sure why such a delay in getting meals served.
We loved it! Celebrated my husband’s birthday with family in town and everyone has a great time. Can’t wait to go back.
The Staff are absolutely the friendliest and most accommodating Team anywhere in the Bend and Deschutes County area!!
Food, ambience, and service was fantastic. We ended our team retreat weekend at Brasada with a brunch and loved every moment and bite. Our server Emily was especially attentive, helpful, and welcoming. Definitely recommend the pancakes, eggs Benedict, and breakfast potatoes but there is plenty of deliciousness to choose from! Plus, the view was stunning and provided great photo opportunities to document our weekend.
They far exceeded our expectations with vegan options. Food was incredible and the service was great. Highly recommend Ranch House at Brasada Ranch. Our kids loved it, too!
This restaurant is great. We come here about once a month for their skillet fried chicken dinner. It is delicious and the service is great. The restaurant is cozy and informal.
