We went for Happy Hour and what a great value. There are many apps at half price- enough of choices to make a meal! We tried several and all were prepared well and delicious. You are not locked into certain drinks because it is money off of all beer, wine and cocktails which allows for great choice. Service was excellent.

We love the atmosphere at this Rams Head location. In the warmer months, the outdoor patio is awesome! Food is average but we always go back for the atmosphere.

We asked for the patio because our 77 year old birthday girl wanted a view of trees and water. And our octogenarian grandpa is hard of hearing and sensitive to cold A/C so the patio provided the low noise level and warm temperatures for his comfort. Thanks to Rams Head for opening the patio for our party of 8! We got great service and had a really fun time!

The crabby tots were a hit with my date. I loved the outdoor patio. It's nestled in a very pretty area. Will definitely return.

I would recommend this restaurant soley because it is the ONLY restaurant at Savage Mills - which is a really interesting place to visit - especially if you like artisan shops and antiques. Ram's Head's beer selection is extraordinary and their house brews are tasty. The food is mediocre. Server was friendly and accommodating - they were bust...so it took a while for a server to even come to our table.

We went there for Sunday brunch about 1:45pm. We were very pleased to see an actual brunch menu, rather than one exorbitant price for a buffet. Two of our party of 4 are light eaters, so we didn't want a buffet. The restaurant was quiet enough that we could carry on conversation without shouting, which is important to us. Our waitress was VERY helpful and accommodating. The food was delicious and priced so reasonably. There were so many choices on the brunch menu, very imaginative and creative.

We went for Happy Hour. Great value. Good choice of appetizers at half off. Beer selection is excellent and money off on wine and spirits too. We did order some things from the menu and all was very good.

We went with a group of 8 for my birthday this past weekend. Our server, Joey, was fantastic, and the food was great, too. Great value for the price. Only complaint is there was a bug on our table - thankfully Joey came to the rescue.

Our leisurely lunch was thoroughly enjoyable. The service was outstanding from the host’s welcome and through our very efficient, proficient, and courteous server’s attention right up to our departure. The food was also outstanding as we have come to expect from Rams Head. The price is also quite reasonable. We were pleased to see more patrons than our last visit to Savage as the experience is worthy of more business.

The server was amazing. Very patience with us and the fact that the notepad and pen was on the table for us to communicate was awesome.

Happy hour has a good selection of craft beer near 1/2 price. Starters are also 1/2price from 4-7pm m-f. In nice weather, the deck overlooking the river is also open. We always order from the dinner specials which are alway good.Sometimes it seems that the regular menu can be hit or miss.If you walk over the old train bridge, the path up the Patuxent river is beautiful(closed at dark). Also the Ram's head is attached to a mall with unusual shops. There is an old wedding dress shop and a large antique shop(check hours)

Brunch wasn't great. The food and bloody mary bar were mediocre at best and service was slow. we had cork in our water glasses and the nashville hot chicken was overcooked. we've been here before and had way better. hopefully next time will be an improvement.

We planned to come as a welcoming celebration for my brother in law coming to town. Our server was outstanding and the small inconveniences were not her fault. Our appetizer did not come out until after our entrees and several things that we ordered were not available. She suggested alternates that worked out great and we had a great time.

My experience overall was good. It was just the waitress was slow. But she was nice. The hostess was not friendly at all. Everytime I said thank you he totally ignored me as he was looking right at me. Hostess should be the most inviting person as you enter a restaurant. I ordered the seafood omelet which was good for the most part just needed a little salt and pepper.
The patio setting was nice, which is where we sat. I would go back hoping my experience is better next time.

Nice neighborhood place, a great "go to" with cold beers and good drinks. The manager was especially kind to us that evening, as we were celebrating a special occasion!

Went there for Mother’s Day with a 2pm reservation. We arrived early and they were able to seat us. Since we were there early we were able to get the Brunch menu and hear the last of the jazz playing both of which made my kids happy. Food and service was outstanding thank for making my wife’s mother’s day perfect!
Cant wait to return, maybe for her birthday on the 24th

The staff at Ram's Head was outstanding. We brought my 92 year old mother-in-law, who walks with a walker. They made every effort to make sure she could easily get to our table and avoid stairs.

Nice location, the outside terrace overlooks trees and stream. Food & service were ok - it's a "tavern" so bar food was to be expected. The bacon on my club sandwich was undercooked. I was told the turkey was fresh roasted, but it was cold cut quality. The other ingredients could have been fresher.

I really enjoy the food and atmoshphere at Rams Head. We were there on a holiday for brunch-things seemed a little scattered and we had to ask for condiments and never got a side of fruit that was supposed to come with a meal but overall the food was good and I would go back.

I've been to Rams Head Tavern in Savage about 5 different times and have always had a wonderful experience. The food is great, the service has always been prompt and friendly -- and the ambience is really special. The restaurant is located in a renovated warehouse with high ceilings and exposed brick walls. Can't wait to go back!

A tasteful variety on the menu....the food is delicious and exquisitely prepared! Seating is comfortable and private as there are many booths in the restaurant. The prices are moderately high but reasonable for the selected dishes....which are quality! Overall we have dined here 3 times and have been fully satisfied with each experience. The service is not rushed and attentive to detail. We highly recommend it!

Sat there for 25 minutes. No one bothered to come and serve us. Went up to one of the waitstaff and asked. They acted like it was no big deal and didn't even apologize. Got up and walked out.

We went for Prime Rib which we had but two of the three that were ordered were raw instead of cooked medium. Asked them to cook them more, which they did...but it still wasn't right. Ate them anyway.

I enjoyed the food, location, value service here at Rams Head Tavern. I would be hesitant to refer my friends only because of one thing - it felt outdated. The Ambience of the dinning room. Instead of using plastic table clothes It would benefit you to invest in cloth tablecloths (black, white or burgundy). In addition to it being fair more attractive and would help to make it feel updated and inviting, and it is less of a bacterial (germs/food) issue, While you will have to change the tablecloths for each patron it is less likely that there is a bacterial or cross contamination issue from patron to patron. Example people with colds, or food allergies - if I am allergic to fish (shrimp) and someone drops fish or sauces on to the plastic it is there when I arrive. Unless you are cleaning your tables with clorox or anomia between patrons. Moreover, while we could hear the much excitement from Bar area upstairs it wasn't distracting. However, it would've been nice to have some subtle music upstairs. I know I will be back for the food for sure!
