Beautiful & elegant unique atmosphere...the kind you don’t easily find especially from the big $$ chains etc.
Really nice for a special evening out. :)
Easter. Waited 40 minutes past reservation. Food, plates, utensils all in disarray
Haven’t been here in several years ...and decided to try it again. Happy to say it Was excellent . Service fantastic, every course was delicious and beautifully prepared! Great for special occasion ...as it has also such a cozy & warm atmosphere. Highly recommend it!!
One of my favorite restaurants in the u.s., try to visit whenever i’m in the atlantic city area, have been going there for more than 25 years.
I asked for a quiet table, and they seated us where it was very noisy
Over the past 20 years, my husband and I have celebrated many special occasions at Ram’s Head Inn.It has always been exceptional, that’s why we returned. However, the past two years were very disappointing. Last September we went for dinner and the quality was sub- par. The seafood medley was over- cooked thus dry and tough, we gave it another try this past Saturday. For the price of dinner, I got 4 medium shrimp stuffed with mostly bread crumbs; they were so tough and did not smell fresh. We gave it a try with the dessert cart. As we ordered it the waitress stated: “you want that, too?” The pastries have been sitting out for hours and my husband ordered strawberries. The waitress slapped a spoon full of strawberries on the plate , followed by a spoon-full of whipped cream. The presentation was deplorable for the prices charged. We also ordered cappuccino, when they arrived they were ice cold. No sugar was brought to the table, and during the entire dinner the two waitresses never asked if we wanted more drinks, we had one glass of Pellegrino each during the entire meal.
We will never return, it’s quite sad that the quality deteriorated within the last two years.
"Per my dining partners, the food was good, not great".
tilapia was terrible...it was breaded and it was not noted on the menu that it would be...place is so dated and needs an entire makeover to survive....traditional styles are fine but these rooms are soooo outdated with sooo many mismatched patterns in the rugs, wallpaper and upholstery, needs a paint job and update for sure....checkout Dock's in A.C. and you might learn something as far as a renovation and new chef/menu
Fine dining, excellent service. Their Veal Scallopini is superb!
Had a delicious Restaurant Week lunch here. My appetizer was the homemade potato gnocci. They were tasty and melted in your mouth! Would definitely recommend!
My entree was the vegetable ravioli which was very good also. It came with some steamed vegetables.
Dessert was a selection off the dessert cart...lemon cake...very good.
The restaurant is pretty and beautifully maintained. Enjoyed eating in the dining room with a wood fireplace! The food was excellent!!!! The only issue is we waited 50 minutes for our appetizer to be served. If we hadn’t asked where it was who knows how long it would have taken.
Ate here during Atlantic City Restaurant week. Great meal for affordable price.
My wife and I and another couple dinned there for lunch. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. We would all highly recommend the Rams Head to family and friends.
Ram's Head has always been a favorite for special occasions. We went to lunch during AC Restaurant Week which is always a great deal. Our food and service were superior. The ambiance is perfect. They also have a fantastic Happy Hour.
Food was as visually stunning as the taste. This was a restaurant week choice, and well worth it. The staff was extremely attentive, and you could not ask for better service.
Fabulous servers some of the best trained in Atlantic county
Get a table by the fireplace !
Food good but the entire atmosphere Fabulous
Love eating at the Rams Head Inn. In fact, we had our Daughters wedding here in the Banquet Room. Always great food and great service.
Our food was amazing. The options during restaurant week were much better than other venues. Our service got off to a slow start, but both of our servers made up for it in the end. Our biggest disappointment of the evening was a large party seated in the center of the dining room that was very loud and felt the need to include profanity in their conversations very often.
Food was good, despite being informed they were temporarily out of the soup of the day as well as bread. Server wasn't the most attentive.
Was there for restaurant week on a Tuesday night , they were overbooked and understaffed . showed up early for 7 pm reservation and headed to the bar where the chaos continued. Although the drink pours were exceptional, it seemed everyone was a bit confused and disorganized . I went to be seated at 7 and was told we are running behind. When finally seated there were plenty of tables available, just not enough staff for things to run smoothly. This is my second poor experience at Ram's Head.
The food was delicious. The service was horrible! No one freshened our beverages. The next table was going to the bar for their own. After dinner, we sat for over 30 min. before being offered coffee / dessert. Will NOT return.
Went for our yearly restaurant week visit for my wife’s birthday. It was amazing as always. Hands down our favorite restaurant and a great value during restaurant week.
I went for restaurant week. I was pleasantly surprised by the large menu Ram's Head had for restaurant week. The portions were perfect! I went with 3 other people and all of us were full and almost didn't have room for dessert. Our server told us that the restaurant will be honoring the restaurant week menu and price for the entire month of March. We all will be back!!
The experience was excellent, good food, warm atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, attentive and friendly. Seated within five minutes of our reservation time.
We went for Atlantic City Restaurant week. All of the participating restaurants provide their menu's on line. It is a pre-fixed menu with a pre-fixed price. The server gave us our menus and beside the filet and rack of lamb entrees was an asterisk indicating that there would be a $6.00 up charge for either of these items. This upcharge was not listed on the Ram's Head menu on the Restaurant week website, however these two items were part of the pre-fixed menu options. I have no problem with them wanting the additional $6.00 I just believe it should have been listed on the Restaurant week website.
Ram's Head Inn has a good selection of main courses and desserts. Last year's food quality seemed better.
Went during restaurant week for lunch. Food is constantly excellent as is the ambiance. Staff is attentive and friendly. The price of $ 15.00 PP is a real bargain as portion size is not decreased just because the price is. If I had to make a constructive suggestion it would be to increase the wait staff when they are aware they are booked to the max .
It's always a pleasure dining at the Ram's Head. I love the faded elegance and fine cuisine, and the staff always strives to please. They may, one of these years, want to consider fixing the wheels on those unwieldy dessert carts the poor staff have to haul around, although, frankly, I think that a meal at Ram's Head without 3/4 of a cake splattering onto the floor off one of those bucking carts just wouldn't be complete.
The restaurant week lunch is a great value. The meal is not rushed and the food is excellent. One server dropped some cake on the coat of one of our group. They really didn't seemed concerned about this at all.
Had a wonderful Restaurant Week lunch here. Started with the homemade Potato Gnocchi. They were light, flavorful & delicious.
The Vegetable Ravioli came with a fresh vegetable medley. The raviolis were very tasty and the vegetable were cooked just right.
The dessert cart selection I chose was the Strawberry Shortcake...very good.
Always have a great meal here!
Never disappoints. The service / ambiance / the meal for all 6 at the table was excellent. Four of the guests was there first time there. They will definitely be back.
We have eaten at the Ram's Head many times. We have never been disappointed. The food and its presentation are wonderful.
It is classic old time fine dinning with cloth napkins and table cloth. It is the same every time............very good!
We went for resturant week 2018. Very elegant atmosphere, good food and attentive service. Will be going again!!
Yet another great meal, never a disappointment.
My husband and I reserved for restaurant week. I am a vegetarian and so I really depend on a restaurant's flexibility. Ram's Head Inn was able to accommodate me thank you very much. I will say though that as beautiful the decor of the restaurant is, it's reminiscent of the 1950-1960's. I am sure that updating decorations would cost a small fortune but also restaurants need to keep in mind the purpose of why they are in business. Customers can be fickle.
It was A very relaxed dinner with excellent food and warm atmosphere near the fireplace
What a shame, a once wonderful, classy restaurant has gone way down hill. The grounds and main dinning room are still the same but that's the end of the similarity. One waitress who also served as the buss boy, dirty dishes left on the table during the entire meal. Food was just ok, cake for desert cam out right from the refridgerator. I could go on and on but suffice to say you should spend your dining money somewhere else.
Had people from outof town. They are restaurant owners themselves. They were impressed with the service from the parking lot to the bar to the dinning roon and food. The staff could not have been better.
I made reservations at what is supposed to be the best restaurant on the Mainland for my anniversary. We arrived to find no Valet or coat check. Before heading in to the dining room we had a drink at the bar. At the bar was a gentleman and his wife. The man was wearing an old and tattered sweatshirt.
...what happened to the dresscode? The bartender was pleasant and personable. When it was time to eat our romantic dinner we were seated 1 table away from a table of 7 elderly women. Each one talking louder than the next making for a less than romantic evening. Keep in mind the place was empty and has multiple dining rooms. The food was good and the waitress made us laugh and provided exceptional service. I'll be hard pressed to ever return.
