Impossible Burger and Buffalo Cauliflower are awesome.
The best thing I can say is that the food and beer were great. However, the service was not so great. We were running a few minutes late for our reservation and when I called I got told they could move our reservation back instead of holding it for not even 5 minutes past the reservation time. After explaining that is a bit ridiculous they said the reservation could be held and that was no big deal. Then when we got there, we waited almost 10 minutes to be sat because there was no one there to acknowledge us. Then we waited 10 minutes at our table before anyone came to take our drink order and our server(s) were barely seen. The man who did take our drinks was not our server and was more than obvious he was not happy to help us. When questions were asked he seemed annoyed. None of us could get a refill if we wanted to. We were there for almost 2 and 1/2 hours and halfway through the place died down. I would give it another chance, but maybe at a different location.
Great place to meet family & friends. We had a wonderful dinner last night, meeting friends and never disappointed. Our server, Jessica was attentive and knowledgeable about the drink and menu choices. We all enjoyed our entrees ranging from ribs to chicken Marsala, fish and chips and burger.
Overall it was alright. The mixed drinks could use some work they tasted subpar and not quite like what they should (the mojito tasted more like a lemonade, as did the margarita as if they were made from the same mix). Food was pretty good, standard bar food, service was okay as well.
Love the Burgers at Ram, but this time the family just had a few more errors than normal. Food was over salted, kids hamburger was not well done, service on refills was slow. It was brought to the attention of the waitress and staff. They did correct the kids burger, but fries were just over seasoned for everyone. Staff was still friendly, and the value for what you get is pretty good.
Great food, had the ribeye steak and the rest of my party had the burgers and they mentioned how they will be back. Great food!
Wide variety of craft brew options that pair with good food and lively conversation! Great place for groups and get togethers with friends or family.
I have held several business lunch meetings at this location. Noise level is always great - nice and quiet so we can speak in normal conversational tones. I prefer chair seating for business meals. Mostly booths, but some of the tables have both booth and chair seating. Service is professional and courteous and not intrusive. We sat for 2 hours and were not rushed out. The lunch menu has a very good selection. I prefer the Cobb salad with steak.
Seems like they were really short on wait staff. Food was good. Drinks were a bit weak. But, they are better known for their beer.
Good food and great craft beers! I really liked their Hefeweisen. And our server, Jessica, was terrific! Highly recommend trying it if you are shopping at Woodfield or IKEA.
We felt sorry for our server. We thought they needed more people working for a busy Saturday night
Service was HORRIBLE. Waiter kept forgetting basic things like straws, napkins, silverware, requested drinks, condiments.
Waited a long time between check-ins. The Whisky list was written on a large note card and spelled 'wisky'. It was all bottom shelf stuff. I wasn't asking for Pappy's, but not a list of what i would expect at the 7-eleven either.
Beer was good. No stouts (only a decent porter), which was disappointing.
Service was terrible. Had to ask several times for items such as a drink that was ordered and not delivered. Many incorrect food items brought to table.
Everything was wonderful!
Food was great. Service was horrible. We were a large table but there were only a handful of other tables in the entire restaurant. Way too slow.
great experience, server was very attentive and knew the menu. Food came as ordered. Was a little slow getting our drinks. Overall enjoyed our dining experience
Although the food was good we had problems with the way it was served. Side salads were served before the appetizers. Literally within seconds of receiving the appetizer they came to our table with our entrees. Since we hadn't even touched the appetizer yet we told them we weren't ready for our entrees. They took them back to keep them warm and warm is at best what they were when they were served about 10 minutes later. When two of the entrees were returned because they were cold, we were guaranteed quick replacements so that we could all eat together. The replacement meals had vegetables that not only were not warm they were cold. The meat was nice and hot but the tomatoes served with the sauce were refrigerator cold. We were given a discount but not sure that would be enough for me to try this place again. Also the manager called one of the women in our party "babe". Very unprofessional.
Dear Whom This May Concern, my husband and I were in this evening to have an Early Valentines Day Dinner. We have been here several times and love the food and drinks. We had a not so pleasant experience this time around! Our waitress Wendy didn’t ask if my husband or myself wanted another drink! When she brought us our salads it came with a dressing we didn’t care for! When i asked her about a different dressing she rolled her eyes. Wendy didn’t come back to the table at all to ask how the food was or if we needed anything else! I also had a coupon that I showed her prior to ordering and she brought us the bill without taking the coupon off. I’m not one to complain but this was supposed to be a Date Night / Valentines Day Celebration for my husband and myself and it wasn’t an enjoyable experience at all! The food and beer was fantastic as always, I wish i could say the same for our customer service!
Food and drink were good. Pretzel appetizer was enough for 4 people and yummy. Great beef sandwich and my friend liked the kale in her salad. We would go back.
The restaurant didn't have my reservation correct but was quickly able to accommodate my party! Our waitress took a long time to come to our table to take drink orders. My dad ordered a glass for his beer bottle at least three times and then she brought it to him after his beer was empty. Not one of the modifications was ensured (asked for no onions and/or specific dressing on the side, both were not done). They did give us a birthday dessert and kept our waters full, so that was a plus. They also were willing to split our check among a few people so that was helpful. Overall, I'd go back but not for any special event. Good service after at the bar.
Good as always. Great beer and food.
Our waiter Marcus was AMAZING. He even helped my 93 year old grandma down the stairs!! Our reservations were for 7:15 and we didn’t get our dinner until 9:15 and the manager apologized, but didn’t seem to care much.
The only reason we would go back would be for the great service provided by Marcus. RAM is lucky to have him.
Our server was good, the food was good as well. I was disappointed to see the amount of stains on the fabric of the booth as well as the lack of cleanliness of the restrooms. I’ve been here in the past and it was like a high end brewery restaurant...it’s not looking so high end anymore.
Our food took forever and our service was terrible.
the spar ribs i had where burnt. the beer batter fish the batter was bland. the side with the salmon should be changed. we did like the pretzel fondue. sorry, to much money for what you get.
Went out to eat with friends and three of us got a salad, one got a steak. It took close to an hour before our food came out. Then trying to get our check was a nightmare and they were incorrect. I spoke with the manager, but all he did was give us two complimentary dessert tickets and two complimentary appetizer tickets... cause yes, after this nightmare what I really want to do is come back/ NOT! It was unreal how terrible the service was.
Birthday dinner that was not acknowledged. Long wait for food, which was cold. Server never checked to see how food was. And it was not great.
We were seated near the exit to the outdoor patio...we were cold for the entire stay. Server was nice but evidently very busy as everything took longer than expected...food was only luke warm...we were never offered refills on our drinks. Not a good experience!
Menu switched over to very limited menu after 9pm but that isn't stated anywhere on open table or the restaurants website. Service horribly slow in an empty restaurant. Your other locations were booked solid for reservations and this location was empty...I should've known
We were a party of six with 8 PM reservations on New Year’s Eve. We were seated and not acknowledged by anyone for 20 minutes. By this time we had noticed a draft at our table and other patrons eating dinner with their coats on. We asked for the manger and he did state that the heat wasn’t working and wouldn’t be fixed till the following week. I realize this was out of his control but he should have mentioned the heating issue when they seated us. It was very disappointing that the manager didn’t offer any type of compensation for the inconvenience of eating dinner with our parkas on on New Year’s Eve. An establishment that’s been around for as long as RAM has should have handled this better.
We had a great time. Wide selection of craft beers.
BEST sweet potato fries anywhere EVER! Burgers & sandwiches are fantastic! Lots of TVs. Always a good time
We were a party of 5 adults. Two of us ordered entrees and one person ordered a dinner salad. (the others had sandwiches). We requested bread with our entree and salad, and received a small portion of toasted pitas. When we asked for additional bread, we received another skimpy portion. For the cost of an entree and a pricey dinner salad, we felt we did not receive value for the money we spent. The entrees were not large and there was hardly enough food to make a satisfying meal. Obviously, the Ram wants us to order appetizers, etc to jack up the amount we are spending. It was a disappointing experience.
Enjoyed a “End of year” dinner out with friends at The Ram. Our server, Ryan, was great! We all enjoyed the meal, service and time together.
Very disappointed with the food, my son's steak was raw and inedible, later in the evening my wife became sick to her stomach. beer was good and the service was great. Don't think we will be back.
We were very disappointed with our total experience at RAM. We have always wanted yo try and sadly will not be going back. Our service is the main reason. The only reason why it ended up okay at the end was because the manager was involved. After waiting 20 minutes for our appetizer i went and found the manager because our server was no where and when we did see her she avoided our table. The manager retrieved our app and then shortly after our food came. I had four unhappy kids at this point because we waited so long for the app (hence why we got one to tie them over) then they barely ate their food because they had just eaten the app. Drinks werent filled in a timely manner, until the manager was involved. My salad was partially wrong and when it was fixed...i never received dressing until i got a togo box because we were over the whole experience and i had the chance to ask someone for it. It was my dads birthday and we didnt even sing to him (at the restaurant) because we couldn't stand to be there any longer. Some delays i could understand if the restaurant wad packed...but it wasnt. We were a party of 7 but that still doesnt mean we should receive less service. The manager did comp our bill $16 but it still didn't make us have any desire to go back. Very disappointing.
The service and attention afforded was very good, although they weren’t too busy. The salads were very good; the regular fries were just ok. We would go back. The Happy Hour menu looks good!
Food was good. Waiter started out attentive. Food came quickly. Asked for water to be refilled. Never happened. At end of meal, waiter asked if we needed a box. He disappeared. Came back 5 minutes later. No box. Only the bill
Food was average, husband's burger a bit greasy. Nothing special. I understand that it's a beer and burger place, but the choice of salads didn't look very good compared to similar restaurants, so I got the quesadilla. Greasy, but tasted okay. One in our party like her chicken sandwich. Service was good at first, then waitstaff forgot to put in one order. It came pretty quickly, though and they did offer to give us a free dessert, so that was appropriate (we declined). Then waitstaff was so busy, they didn't come back to us for some time. Cleared some plates, but left 2 for a good long while. Uneven experience.
We have gone to Ram a few times and have always enjoyed the food. This time, not so much. Our server, Marcus, was very nice, but not very quick. We ordered an appetizer (pretzels and beer cheese) and our beverages (my husband and I both had soda and our daughter had lemonade) right away. The appetizer was out before our drinks and I had to ask for them. It was about 15 minutes for the appetizer to come out. The beer cheese was inedible because it was so spicy. I ordered the filet medallion sandwich and asked for the fries to be crispy. They were not crispy but I didn't want to wait for a new batch. My sandwich was really good. My husband had the Bavarian Burger and he said it was just ok. The service was pretty slow. It was a Sunday evening, our reservations were for 5:30, and it was not busy so I'm not sure why the kitchen was so slow. Kids eat for $1, which is a great deal. However, the beverage should be included. The drink was an additional 99¢.
Marcus was on top of the refills and like I said he was very nice. It wasn't his fault the kitchen was so slow.
