Ram Restaurant & Brewery - Rosemont Ratings and Reviews
Our experience was okay. The service and the server were very good. She was attentive to our needs and had a nice attitude. The food was just mediocre. While the selection seemed good, the quality was middle of the road. The beer was also only mediocre. Considering that it is a microbrewery, I expected more distinctive beers. I ordered an IPA that lacked much in the way of hops.
Great service, great beer, and good menu selection. I am originally from New England. This is one of very few Chicago area restaurants that serve Fisch and Chips that I enjoy eating. My boyfriend raves about Ram's patty melts. It is best to make a reservation. Ram fills up quickly and stays busy for good reason.
Horrible service, starting the rude bartender when we ordered a beer they were sold out of. Her snotty comment that we should read the menu which did not say they were sold out btw, did not go unnoticed by our group. Our server was his name Bill or Joe, forgot about us and we had to flag someone down when we wanted to order food or another drink. Unfortunately the food doesn’t redeem the place either. Burgers took forever and and had ZERO seasoning, fries were cold.
Didn’t have high expectations and this place didn’t meet even those.
There was a little mix-up with regard to we requested a table, and were ushered to a booth, but the staff and manager on duty corrected the error quickly, and there was no further issue the entire time we were there... the food was absolutely wonderful.. the calamari appetizer was very tender, and our party of four had tomato bisque soup, burger with fried egg, fish and everything we had was seasoned well and very tasty. Would for sure recommend you join their VIP club for a very generous discount. I know that we will be back.
Our waiter was very good especially when he had to tell us a couple times that there was a backup in the kitchen. We sat down at 6:30 but did not get our food until about 7:20. On a normal night, we would not have cared but we had to get to a show at 8. Therefore, we shoveled in our tasty food in about 10 minutes. I would probably try again if we weren't on a schedule.
First time and wanted to try since my kids are picky eaters and for them having burgers are a treat. It was not packed maybe because it was still early 5pm. Food was good , but service was kind of slow, seeing it was not busy. Our server was nice and polite despite that we have to call her attention for our drinks. She was apologetic but seems to be not in tune to the customers. But i would still recommend this restaurant to my friends and family. We have good and bad days. Ambiance was nice ,seeing the kitchen from the dinning.
Margaritas were quite good. Sangria was subpar. Ram is a decent enough location. We chose the dining room as the bar was already pretty crowded and loud. The dining room was almost empty so seating was fine. The carpet smelled awful. You know that stale smell when the carpet isn’t cleaned enough? Not very pleasant but I was meeting a group and a change was not possible. Service was good.
Booked this reservation for a pre theatre meal at 8pm on a Friday for 2 people. Arrived a few minutes early and was promptly sat, but wasn't seen by a server for about 15 minutes. A second server came shortly after placing our drink orders with our original server, stating that he would be out server. We deduced that it was likely going to be a long wait for our food, so immediately placed our order with the second server. Approximately 60 minutes after our initial food order our server came and stated due to confusion that our order was never placed in the kitchen, and that we would need to order again. They did give us a complimentary drinks, and tried their best to get the food to the table quickly, but as a result of their incompetence we were late to the openening of a comedy show that we paid a large anount of money for.
