Party of 6. Two of us were disappointed, the author being one. Ordered the BBQ shrimp and grits. Eating New Orleans style BBQ shrimp is one thing with having to shell the shrimp but when they are mixed in with grits, it makes for a very messy and unpleasant way to eat. I gave up and I appreciated our waitress taking the charge of the bill because it was returned uneaten. The other guest had drum and it was not very flavorful, surprising for New Orleans. The other 4 guests were happy with their selection. Service was efficient but the server was a little harried. We had to wait on drinks after the food was delivered.
Ralph's is great -we make sure to eat here every time we come to NOLA
The BBQ Shrimp was amazing. Our server was excellent. They even gave us a glass of Champagne on the house. We will go back again one day.
We had an excellent experience with wonderful food and outstanding service
Ralph’s was very good . Service was excellent and the food was consistently good. I think Nicole was our server . Varied options . Could use more lighter fare . We went with neighbors and friends and we were very well taken care of and will be coming back soon. This place has consistently good food . I have been going here on and off for years and will continue to do so .
Our server Corrinne was a true professional. A visiting member of our party whom we had just met was being obnoxious and embarrassing but she handled it exceptionally well.
Celebrated our DIL’s birthday w/ a bottle of red wine & a delicious meal. Service was very good. Will return.
Birthday, the put a decoration on the table
We love our dinner at Ralph’s on the Park! The smoked oysters and bread pudding was amazing! The Brennan’s restaurants are always a delight.
We had a group of 10 people. A variety of cocktails, appetizers, entrees, desserts, and wine was ordered and everyone loved everything. Our waiter was friendly, helpful and service was great. It's a beautiful view of City Park and valet parking available. Highly recommend for any occasion.
I had gone the week before and had the tuna entree and loved it. So the opportunity came up to go again and I couldn’t wait to get the tuna. Very disappointed! Over cooked, dry. Very little of the delicious sauce. Service was ok, took forever to get our drink order.
Impeccable service and delicious food. Highly recommend!
From the moment we entered the venue, we were greeted and treated like life long customers. It was our anniversary dinner, and the staff at Ralph's certainly took the extra time to ensure that we had an enjoyable evening. The staff was attentive, the ambiance was perfect.....overlooking the oaks of city park, the food was great. Do yourself a favor and visit Ralph's, it might even save your marriage, wink wink.
We ate with another couple at the recommendation of a friend. The location is nice, right across from the park, so arrive early to walk around prior to your meal. Tuna dishes and the rabbit were rated as very good by our party. The asparagus tempura left a bit to be desired. Brussel Sprouts were very good. Bread pudding was average.
Ralph's was excellent! My husband and I were in NOLA for a few days and were lucky enough to find Ralph's. We started with the garlic cheese bread - could have had more than one of those! We tried the Chicken and Andouille Gumbo. The depth of flavor enhanced the richness of the gumbo. So much in fact, that we ordered a second bowl. While I am not a fan of oysters, my husband encouraged me to try the Parmesan Fried Oysters with him. They were delicious! The Black Pepper Papparadelle was light (I generally think of pasta as being more heavy), the mushrooms were succulent, and the seasoning was just right. We shared the bread pudding for dessert. It was similar to a creme brûlée, but with a toasted bottom. The service was exceptional. I would absolutely recommend and would enjoy returning.
Went for a friend’s birthday. Everything was perfect except we felt a little abandoned at the end of the meal. But it was still great . The pacing just got off but nothing terrible just not perfect.
Requested a table either outside or near a window so we could enjoy the view of City Park. Neither was honored. My dining companion ordered their signature cocktail (St Patrick's No 2) I had a sip and loved it so wanted to have one only to be told they were out of this cocktail...this was Sunday Brunch around 1pm and you are already out. Food was nothing special and lacked flavor. Menu is very limited so it would have been nice for what is available to be at least average. The only thing I can speak highly of is the service. With so many choices for Sunday Brunch and dining in general in NOLA this fell way below average. What I hoped to be a special dining experience to showcase my home town of New Orleans turned into an embarrassing experience.
Really enjoyed it! Great food, service, and ambiance!
Love sitting at the bar, especially when there is a pianist. Good wine recommendation. Shared a few small plates and one entree. Can't wait to return!
Ralph’s never disappoints. The service, the food and ambiance are wonderful. As locals, we take all of our out of town friends to Ralph’s. We feel they need to experience NO cuisine in a beautiful and calm setting.
The whole experience was wonderful. The waitress was absolutely wonderful!!!
The service and food were excellent. The staff takes the time to notice and take care of small details. Also, because it was clearly a business lunch the server did not overly bother us. She checked in when appropriate and cleared plates so we had working space in front of us. I recommend Ralph’s on the Park without reservation.
Delicious and a wonderful atmosphere.
Fantastic as usual. BBQ shrimp is the best in the city. Somewhat disappointed in the portion this trip. I ordered a small plate of BBQ shrimp, half of a regular order and generally consist of 3 shrimp. The shrimp were VERY small and mushy. Looks as if they tried to make up for it with mushrooms (not a fan). This is the first time I was disappointed out of many visits. Our server, AMBER was spectacular as always!
Wonderful ambiance food and service!
Everything was wonderful!! We were celebrating a friend’s birthday and all the perfect touches; from her name on the menus, to the complimentary birthday dessert, to the special ribbon on the table were awesome!! It’s obvious that y’all really appreciate your customers and it shows.
Would highly recommend.
Terrific meal, wonderful service
I found the food not so great. Turtle soup was not the best. Had a crawfish salad and only 3-4 crawfish! Come on it should have been better for $14.00! Location overlooking park is nice but does not make up for the food. Much better places in New Orleans.
Excellent food and service, but VERY loud.
Would recommend this restaurant highly!
Great venue & good with outstanding service at a fare price.
My wife and I went there for dinner after I experienced private dining upstairs for my local Veterinary Medicine organization. We had a great experience in the main dining room. The service was excellent. The Mahi Mahi was tender and perfectly cooked. The cinnamon pecan praline bread pudding with pecan ice cream was so good! We will definitely go back for another great meal.
My wife and I shared the 20 ounce steak. The quality of the steak was a little less than what we had hoped for. It had more fat and gristle, and it was a bit tougher than say the equivalent steak at one of your competitors, like Venezia's on Carrollton Avenue. [ and even there, the quality can vary]
The saving and redeeming features of your restaurant are, (my humble opinion) the ambiance and the ultra high manners and personality of your wait staff [ Desiree and Amber, in our case]. These ladies were professional, knowledgeable of the menu, and, ultimatly, they are the ones who enable you to charge a premium price for your product. And still, we found it was a good value. Personally, I would rather spend an extra $5 and get the best cut of meat.
Finally, we made reservations on the "app". the app absolutly would NOT let us make a reservation for 6 PM. So me reserved for 0530 PM. While we ate dinner, we could not help but notice that there were 85% vacant tables between 6 PM and 7:30 PM. You really should look at the service or disservice your app provider gives you. It is not much.
very kind regards,
Dr. John Ehlers
Great meal and experience. It was my wife’s birthday and they treated her special just like I asked. Excellent service.
Good food shared with friends after a visit to NOMA to see the Queen Within exhibit.
Absolutely lovely in every way. It’s a Brennan restaurant so expect great food and impeccable service. The cocktails were, of course, to die for. Try a “Death in the Oaks” to experience absinthe in a unique way.
Had a truly lovely evening at Ralph's! It was so refreshing to have each course served with not too much or too little time between them. So often we feel rushed at restaurants to get through a meal. This was just perfect! My hubby one the award for best order with his Rabbit Jagerschnitzel.
