The food was excellent. Everyone liked what they got.
We absolutely love it here, the food is always amazing and the service is great!
Fun atmosphere, great roll choices, and wonderful service. My hubby and I will definitely be back!
For Valentine’s Day, it was a little hectic and disorganized at the hostess stand, but once seated everything went so well, service was good especially with how busy it was and the sushi was also fresh & delicious!
Had a great meal. It was very busy since it was Friday and Valentines day. Overall the sushi was excellent. Very creative and had great flavors.
Great service, food is very average. Tempura was very greasy.
Service and good was good
Fantastic cream cheese wontons. Sake paired well with rolls, sashimi, and sushi. Expertly crafted.
The food is amazing and the service is even better!
We have been to this location many times. To be respectful we made a reservation at 6:30 so we could make a 7:40 movie. We arrived at 6:20 and were seated immediately... and then it went down hill.
Our server was overwhelmed and did not show up for some time.
We ordered as soon as she arrived as we new we had a movie to catch... but we had plenty of time...
Drinks and the app arrived in decent time... entree.. not so much...the server... don’t know her name... she never introduced herself.... came to apologize that it was taking so long. We were accepting and explained we had a 7:40 movie. No worries it’s right up stairs. At 7:25 we asked to speak to the manager. A female arrived and apologized. She offered an excuse that it would be 10 more minutes, we explained that guess ya seated after us already received thier food and one table was done. We asked for our check. She brought us our check and then offered to pack our food to go , “ no charge” ... not the point... we were her because we like the restaurant... normally.
We later learned this woman was the owner. The situation was not handled well for an owner. We left without eating... she tried to offer us part of the check (two drinks). Found that very insulting. All we wanted was a, “sorry, we made a mistake”, that never happened... we were accused of ordering items that took long to cook.
Like I said, normally love the food, but we will be hard pressed to return. Just say, I’m sorry...
Tried some different rolls this time and like previous visits, all were delicious. Loved the Playboy roll.
I would totally recommend this restaurant. Came here for New Year's Eve, even though we made reservations, we still had to wait 15 minutes. We did get waters for the table and one cup was not washed at all because there was a bright red lipstick stain on the rim of the cup. Other than that everything else was fine. The drinks were delicious, definitely try the lemon martini and long island. The quality of the sushi and food was so delicious. I would honestly recommend everything on the menu.
New Year’s Eve with our three kids, we all had a great time!
7 of us loved many different choices from salmon salmon to
Various sushi orders and 2tempura combinations and wonderful
Appetizers. Great service! It was our Christmas Dinner.
The food is amazing and the service is awesome!
Food was great like usual! The only thing to mention is that we did not get a booth, like requested on our Opentable profile and there were plenty open. We felt she seated us a little too quickly and did not read our reservation requests.
Great food and service. Consistently provides a great experience with each visit.
Delightful specials menu. As an appetizer we had pork dumplings with a Thai peanut sauce and Japanese pancakes with red curry. I then had the Cherry Blossom sushi roll that was beautifully presented and my husband had the Mongolian beef.
As a surprise, they brought us the tempura bananas for our anniversary!
Delightful experience and delicious food!
I had the surf and turf which is one of the priciest items on the menu. The lobster was covered in a bland, flavorless sauce. The beef and vegetables were okay but the entire meal was greatly overpriced. A disappointing dining experience.
Great great food!
Lunch specials are a wonderful value
Sushi was mushy and warm. Dumplings had a burnt aftertaste and were cooked unevenly. Better choices at West End.
Dinner before show at the Orpheum downtown. Our server was excellent. Promptly took drink order and from that point, stopped by just often enough. Great pork potstickers and special rolls. Yum!
Would recommend! Made reservations and they were very accommodating. Great atmosphere and service :) definitely going to be back
A very happy birthday dinner! We will be back! Everyone shared dishes and we were all happy with each dish. A very nice banana tempura free birthday desert. Great service as well.
Have never had a bad meal at Raku West End. Their service is great and food and beverage spot on.
Very delicious as always!!! First time sitting in the back and it’s a little odd without any windows back there. Will stick to the front high top!
One of the best sushi joints in the Twin Cities!
The cheese wontons were over cooked. I thought the sesame shrimp was overpriced for what I received and had a very heavy volume of sweet sauce covering it. The server was very nice. The restaurant is lovely. Other people I was with loved their tempura.
We really enjoyed our meal at Raku. Our server was fantastic. We will return.
We sat at in the sushi lounge - great experience and food was delicious!
Always impressed with Raku! We usually get sushi, but opted for a Teppanyaki with filet mignon this time and loved it! The filet was super tender and the dish was light and so tasty! Next time we are going to try the fried rice. Turns out Raku is fantastic at more than just sushi!
Our server was great and made great suggestions for sushi that we all loved!
They had a special for ramen when we were there. It was perfect for a chilly night. I hope they keep it on the menu. We did notice that some of the booths are starting to look a little worn. It might be time to do some reupholstering.
Delicious sushi & sake. Great atmosphere for romantic on Valentine’s Day. Simple and classy.
The TVs in the bar area detracted from the appeal of the restaurant. The bar tender dressed in a sloppy rugby shirt also didn’t work well with the sushi theme. Are they trying to be a sushi sports bar? Food was decent and the portions were adequate. Service was prompt and attentive.
Great food! A little slow but only because they were busy!
Great happy hour experience,!
First time here. Went after a movie. Service was good and the food was awesome. Would go here again.
