A warm February evening led me to Raintree’s patio for dinner. The menu seemed inspired, but the components of my veal and shrimp entree seemed not to relate to each other, which disappointed, as did my starter Raintree salad, tasty but woefully over-dressed. But a seriously good house-made Key Lime pie saved the dining experience, as did my server, Shannon.
Very good food and service. A place you can actually talk in a normal voice and be heard which is becoming rare. Nice pleasant atmosphere and causal but nice surroundings.
The place itself is beautiful. The service is just average. Nothing special, just going through the motions. We were celebrating an anniversary, but they never asked. Our waitress never smiled and was't friendly at all. Just put things down and picked them up. Our food was also just okay. No wow factor, nothing that stood out. Every year, we go someplace nice and a little pricier. This year left a lot to be desired.
This is a quality restaurant that always pleases. The food is always good and with attentive service.
The Beef Wellington (the house special) was good but the veal and shrimp dish was outstanding. The Raintree salad was very good . Bread pudding desert was fantastic as was their old style desert drinks (Brandy Alexander, Grasshopper, etc.)
Great place. Love the food. The beef Wellington’s are the best and on point. Will always recommend this place
My husband and I went to celebrate a very special occasion and although the food was very good, we felt rushed throughout our dinner. We also had an issue with the air conditioning - we were sat inside and it was uncomfortably warm.
We had not dined at Raintree in several years but I must say that the food quality, selection and service have not deteriorated in our absense. We had friends dine with us and they absolutely loved the food as well.
We strongly recommend dining at the Raintree whenever in St Augustine.
Excellent food, service, and ambiance. We both had mahi
but prepared differently. Both were
Equally excellent and cooked to perfection.
Terrific food, service & ambience. Celebrated Valentine's Day on the day after & everything was perfect.
The four of us all had wonderful dinners: pork schnitzel, lamb chops, beef tips special, and petite filet. The sides were good and the salads were fresh with tasty dressings. Laszlo was our waiter and he was great!
A favorite — and they offer GF options. Food was fresh and prepared to perfection. Waiter did a terrific job with timing and service. We will definitely return.
Food was pretty decent outside of my Prime Rib. Couldn't even cut it with my knife it was so fatty. Wife's Salmon was good and the lobster bisque soup was solid. Service is so so...not much incentive given they charge 15% automatically. We knew this going in and it makes sense why the service is how it is.
We love it here. Ambiance is fantastic, food is awesome, service has always been great. A nice place for special occasions or to take friends, and out of town company.
Great food and reasonable price. Always a great experience.
Everything was absolutely fantastic. Rack of lamb, veal and shrimp and the escargot were all incredible.
Perfect every time! Famous for the beef Wellington and the Rasberry crepes. I crave the crepes for weeks after!!
This has been our go-to restaurant for special occasions. It never disappoints us. The quality of food is typically outstanding. The service is far above average. The ambience is quite good for most seatings. And, it has a spacious parking lot. That is important in the old city section of St. Augustine.
The ambiance of this place is special. It is an old house situated on San Marco. Inside there are multiple rooms where outstanding fare is provided. I have the duck and it was excellent. Had I not been in mixed company I probably would have picked it up like a KFC drumstick. Very good outing all the way around.
