Raintree Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
We first came to know Raintree when they were part of the Entertainment Book----one coupon we always used with a dear couple we dined with quite often. We stopped buying the Entertainments long ago but Raintree has remained one of our favorite dining spots. We have used it for special occasions and now for whatever reason we can come up with.
We have been to Raintree so many times over the years. It was first class in every way. This visit has a time lapse in between the years and it has fallen off our list. What a shame. The food prep, presentation, and price were equal to many other restaurants that must keep costs low to be competitive. Price and quality are worth it. Sorry Raintree, we will miss you.
The service was exceptional. I ordered a filet and it was cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes were more homemade quality than restaurant and that's a positive from me. They had plenty of parking which isn't always the case in St Augustine. The picture attached is my hubby's prime rib.
We could not have picked a better place for my wife's birthday and new years eve
Henry, our server was Great, Awesome, and very attentive. The food was just as great as our server. Thanks for making our evening one we will remember for years to come 12-31-2017
We were visiting from Savannah and found this beautiful 1879 Victorian Town House to be the perfect setting for a delightful evening and delicious meal. It was a most welcomed respite from the overwhelming crowds of the Nights of Lights. We were seated in the enclosed front patio and Lazlo provided friendly and professional service. We both enjoyed the Raintree Signature House Salad, as well as the Beef Wellington and Filet Mignon. The Bananas Foster Crepe for dessert was the perfect ending!
Everything was very good, food, atmosphere, staff, etc. Our waitress (to be honest) was low on energy and less than enthusiastic, just doing her job, which she did not do anything wrong. We then went to look at lights and came back to have desert at the bar and it was pretty late but the waiter who took care of us then well made up for her enthusiasm, he was happy, friendly, helpful and enthusiastic.
Very good soup ( tomato bisque) , a poor salad ( likely extracted from a bag ) and very good desert ( chocolate mousse) . Waiting time between appetizer and main course ( a simple salad) felt an eternity .
A bit disappointing though the mousse helped get over it .
We went to St Augustine to see the Christmas lights and as we were 5 I wanted to be sure we could get somewhere nice for food. This restaurant didn't disappoint. We were able to park right outside, our table was ready for us and we had a nice and varied menu to choose from. Also the Christmas decorations were very pretty. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone who is visiting with a larger group as the menu will have something for everyone
First, we've been going to the Raintree at the holidays for about 20 years. It has become our tradition and we look forward to it. We, sometimes, get to visit during the year as well. My daughter held her wedding there, as well, two years ago and it was just wonderful. I, highly, recommend the Raintree for anyone who is in the area. The food is always consistent, the service is dependable, the ambience is a treat for the eyes.
This restaurant was so pretty and the food and service were excellent. I had the 6oz filet. It was cooked exactly how I ordered it and the potatoes and vegetables were so good. I didn't like the lobster bisque -- way too much salt which overpowered any other flavors. Overall, they did a great job. I wish I'd had more time for coffee and dessert. I'd definitely go there again and I did send a couple in my tour group there for dinner the next day, so I've already recommended it.
My husband and I did not care for the salad that came with dinner. It was greens, raisins, a few nuts and dressing. There were no tomatoes, cucumbers, or carrots that normally come in salads.
I had the lemon butter Mahi. The fish was moist and flaky, but the lemon butter sauce did not taste like lemon butter, in fact there was not much flavor to it.
We think the pricing was high for what we had.
Not sure at this time if we will dine there again.
I went here for the first time last night. I have been to st. Augustine many times and found this jewel, and im so happy i did. I went for my early birthday dinner, but was shocked it turned out to be my first dinner with my fiancé. He asked 3 hours before that, and i couldn't have picked a better place for this occasion. The staff was kind and the food was to good for words (try the meatloaf & mussels). Worth going to especially during the night of lights, very romantic.
We first experienced the Raintree on our honeymoon in December 1983. As a couple we fell in love with this special place and have returned there often and tonight was to celebrate our 34th Anniversary. It was wonderful and special, as we knew it would be . Shout out to our waiter Mike!
We live in Tampa and at least once a year, we drive to St Augustine. St Augustine is a neat town but our primary reason to go is eat at The Raintree. We love the ambience. The food is prepared like you’d prepare it in your own kitchen. We have never been disappointed. There are plenty of good restaurants in St Augustine and this one is on the top of our list.
We Ju happened by as we were staying at doubletree Hilton and it looked so very pretty. It was holiday time. We were tired from drive so we decided to try
What a pleasant surprise. Got seated on time. Dennis our server was efficient pleasant and very funny. Food was excellent. Ambiance spectacular. We sat outside. All in all a great experience. Would go back and recommend
Beautiful old 1886 home turned restaurant with lovely windowed porch or outdoor seating in addition to cozy dining rooms. I had limited menu choices do to my garlic allergy but our server Shannon(?) was wonderful advising my choices. He was very attentive throughout our dinner.
