Raintree Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
I went here for the first time last night. I have been to st. Augustine many times and found this jewel, and im so happy i did. I went for my early birthday dinner, but was shocked it turned out to be my first dinner with my fiancé. He asked 3 hours before that, and i couldn't have picked a better place for this occasion. The staff was kind and the food was to good for words (try the meatloaf & mussels). Worth going to especially during the night of lights, very romantic.
We first experienced the Raintree on our honeymoon in December 1983. As a couple we fell in love with this special place and have returned there often and tonight was to celebrate our 34th Anniversary. It was wonderful and special, as we knew it would be . Shout out to our waiter Mike!
We live in Tampa and at least once a year, we drive to St Augustine. St Augustine is a neat town but our primary reason to go is eat at The Raintree. We love the ambience. The food is prepared like you’d prepare it in your own kitchen. We have never been disappointed. There are plenty of good restaurants in St Augustine and this one is on the top of our list.
We Ju happened by as we were staying at doubletree Hilton and it looked so very pretty. It was holiday time. We were tired from drive so we decided to try
What a pleasant surprise. Got seated on time. Dennis our server was efficient pleasant and very funny. Food was excellent. Ambiance spectacular. We sat outside. All in all a great experience. Would go back and recommend
Beautiful old 1886 home turned restaurant with lovely windowed porch or outdoor seating in addition to cozy dining rooms. I had limited menu choices do to my garlic allergy but our server Shannon(?) was wonderful advising my choices. He was very attentive throughout our dinner.
2 OF US HAD PRIME RIB AND THE OTHER 1 HAD A FILET. ALL WERE PERFECTLY COOKED AND TASTY. WE DINED ON THE PATIO WHICH WAS VERY PRETTY WITH ALL THE LIGHTS. tHE ONLY THING THAT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER WOULD BE A LITLE INTERACTION WITH THE WAITER. hE WASN'T THE FRIENDLIEST.
We have returned to this restaurant because it is one of our favorites. The food is wonderful and the wine list is terrific. The holiday decorations are beautiful. The service is friendly, efficient and very professional. If you are visiting St Augustine we would recommend this restaurant to anyone
Not been here in a few years as we live quite a distance. It was great to see nothing had changed , still owned by the same family. Food was as good as we remembered We were served by a very new nervous waiter , who made us laugh and added to a great evening with friends.
There are too many other great restaurants in St. Augustine to come here. I grew up always hearing about Raintree, so finally this past weekend we gave it a shot. There was nothing particularly wrong with the meal but I still don't understand the hoopla. The menu is stuck in the late 90s with no attempt to revitalize. We sat outside which was nice ambiance but with no heaters it did get quite chilly. It was not a terrible experience but for the hype and price tag I expected more.
This is one of our favorite restaurants. We visit St Augustine for 4 days in November every year. We always book 2 nights there through Open Table. Usually a Friday and Sunday. Friday and Saturday is Prime Rib. Some of the best I've had. The rack of lamb is great also. Many wonderful seafood dishes as well. The food, wine, service and décor are amazing. Try it, you can't go wrong.
Great attentive service, but not too obtrusive. Lobster was a little small, but the small filet was prepared just right with an excellent bernaise. House salad was very good with the raspberry salad dressing. Wine selection is noteworthy but not cheap. We had a very good cab from Starmount for $50. This is one of St. Augustine's best restaurants, if not the best. Lots of locals eat here. Not reall good for families, but great for business and coiuples on special occassions.
Raintree is one of our favorite restaurants. We went there for our anniversary and had a wonderful meal. The service was great and the desserts were amazing. Raintree added some nice touches to make our anniversary celebration very special. This is one of our favorite restaurants in St. Augustine
A friend had recommended this restaurant while we were on vacation. Made a reservation a few weeks ago. We were seated promptly on the porch......loved everything about it. I had Eggplant Parmesan with a side salad.....my husband had Beef Wellington with salad. We also had cocktails. Shared a dessert which was chocolate cake...my husband said the sauce was just like what his grandma made! Service, ambiance, and food were all excellent!
