Raindancer has been a West Palm staple for over 40 years. We are from Georgia and ate there while on vacation in March 2018. We have not eaten there in several years, because it is not convenient to our Singer Island hotel, but that was a mistake. It is worth the drive. The Cowboy ribeye with “Pittsburgh “ preparation is outstanding. It is gigantic, but you can take some home for tomorrow’s lunch.
Our server, Robert, was entertaining and made dinner fun!
Very slow service. extremely load..the dininf area is basically one big loud bar.
We are in Florida and they have NO Florida fish on the menu
A little worn around the edges but great steaks. Recommended for local choice.
Our second visit to Raindancer and we were just as impressed as the first. Can Ming into the area from New Jersey we can’t say enough about the experience here.
From the attentive, friendly wait staff, especially our favorite Susan who take exceptional care of us to the management who ask us earnestly if everything is to our liking. The staff is second to none. From cocktails to espresso the meal was perfection.
Our Manhattan cocktails were perfectly mixed and severed with the ice so we could enjoy them as we liked.
On this visit we had the petite filet and lobster tail and the bone in New York strip and crab cake special and both we cooked to perfection and delicious.
We will be back on return trips and highly recommended this one of a kind steak and seafood experience.
We sat in the lounge in a booth tonight. The live music was great! The food was superb & the service was as great as it gets!! Nicky is wonderful & treats you like family. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Service was exceptionally good & dinner was over the top - perfectly prepared - very well presented.
We when there for ur 7 year anniversary and it was great, the food was amzaning and the Sue ur sever did a great job thank u all for a great night
The atmosphere is warm and classic. Optional regular, table top or outdoor dining.
The service was impeccable and my questions were easily answered. We never felt rushed and after a last no business day, our drinks came quickly. As for our meal: we love New York Strips and prefer Medium Pittsburgh style. Cooked perfectly with charred exterior and warm pink center throughout. We passed on dessert as dinner was filling and received a nice aperitif as a gift. We'll be back.
Although there was an altercation with the waiter ON THE PART OF OUR FRIEND, in my opinion it was totally uncalled for. My husband and I liked our friendly waiter, Andy, and felt badly for him for what ensued. The Porterhouse was delicious, and came out exactly as ordered. The table was a little too small for the four of us, resulting in lack of room for the enormous serving platters.
Great cozy restaurant with great ambience for any occasion. The staff and management are all very dedicated that your dining experience is more than you expect.
Dinner was outstanding. The steaks and accompanying foods were prepared to perfection, and we always enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant.
Had the steak & lobster tail , was delicious as was the shrimp cocktail appetizer , the manager was exceptionally nice checking to make sure everyone at our table was happy. A++++++ Highly Recommend !
Dinner with my daughter
Simply lovely! The way they greet you, seat you, converse & serve you is just so wonderful. The food is excellent. We shared a bone in Cowboy steak & lobster tail with a couple sides. The steak was cooked perfectly. The dated ambience & decor is part of the charm and warmth. They make you feel like family and we will be returning on a regular basis.
Been to great Steakhouse all over the country and this one was on par with any of them... great steak at a fair price. Service was polite and professional. Would highly recommend !!!
Place needs a face lift cooler temperature inside then necessary steak was thin and over done I ordered medium . My date said the salmon was excellent probably will try it again
Had a very nice prime rib and my wife had grilled salmon. Everything is good
We decided to try Raindancer since we heard the food was good. My food was very good. I had the lamb chops.
My Husband ordered the NY strip. It was very tough and chewy.
The experience would probably get a better review except the waiter (Alex I believe) was very curt and unfriendly. When we asked him how the rack of lamb was he replied “I have not seen it today, I don’t know”.
Really? Is that how you respond to a guest asking for recommendation? I asked him to repeat what he said because I couldn’t believe a waiter would respond with that kind of sarcastic comment.
We were a party of 6 and were most fortunate to be seated in a small room all by ourselves.
We were so comfortable there and so well taken care of, we actually spent almost 4 hours
in the restaurant...service was superb and never felt rushed. One of our best nights in recent memory!!!!
My wife and I went for Valentines Day. There were a lot of people waiting as I expected but the restaurant was not prepared for what they had booked. We were asked to wait in the bar for our table. The bar was very crowded and had 1 girl working as both bartender and waitress. The notification process was sending an employee into the crowded bar and asking everyone if she had their name. She could barely be heard. When our turn came I heard her say my name. Before I could get to her she took another patron and left. I went to the front desk and confirmed it was my table that was just given away. It was and to their credit a manager was called and immediately sat us. We were seated in a back room that had 6 tables for parties of 2. Within minutes another party was seated. It was clear from the beginning the woman was intoxicated and very loud. Another couple that was seated got up and left. Later on another couple said something. This should not have been the responsibility of patrons. The food is very good but not worth the price. Bimini Twist has just as good food for less money and Ruth Chris has better food for the same price.
Went for Valentine's Day... made a reservation two weeks ago, you enter the restaurant, they don't even have the reservation, they ask for your name and tell you without a smile you will have to wait.
So what's the point of a reservation? The manager is telling you at 7PM the kitchen is behind because some people order their steak well-done... really?
We had to wait 30 minutes to get a table. The meat was good but you have to pay shareable fees ($10 to add for another potato and a plate...).
Won't go back again or not for a special occasion.
Went for a Valentine’s Day dinner. Had a 6:30pm reservation and was not seated until 7:30pm. Was told that the kitchen was backed up. We were seated in a room in back that had about 8 tables. Couple behind us was drunk, loud, and bickering so it unfortunately took away from the ambiance quite a bit. Food was good. Bacon appetizer was amazing. Would go back but definitely not on a busy holiday again.
It was a very nice evening out for Valentine’s Day❤️
Food and service was great. Loved the details of the food and the quiet dining experience.
The Valentine's Day menu did not start until 4pm. We arrived early afternoon. We were seated promptly without any delay. The host and waitress were professional and friendly. No bland food here! Yeah! The crab cake was delicious. My husband loves the burger with the egg. He said this one was outstanding. The lobster was very tasty and small. We would visit again.
Wonderful old fashioned steak house. Only place I know of with salad bar included with your meal. As always, excellent food and service.
My family enjoyed a wonderful dinner and had excellent service at the restaurant.
We look forward to returning again in the future.
From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel like regulars. Warmly greeted, attentive servers and a welcoming atmosphere. Nice combination. The food was well prepared and quickly served. It was delicious. Really liked the parmesian French fries and the lobster mac and cheese. Steaks were excellent. Pls be aware, pricing reflects the caliber of restaurant this is. It's well worth the visit.
This is a wonderful classic steakhouse. It has an old school vibe with a live jazz band playing in the bar area. The food was perfect, the wine list was great, and I cannot rave enough about the red velvet raspberry lava cake. We will be going back.
We went to dinner last night and the The service was fantastic they had a gentleman singing at the bar and he was really good all the staff at the restaurant was so attentive to our every need and the food was delicious will be back again soon
Or new favorite restaurant
Went to Rainsancer after being told there was a 1hour wait at Okeechober. Raindancer is only a mile away. We were greeted warmly, seated right away in a very nice dining area...not crowded or noisy. Wait staff and manager were attentive but not invasive. We had salads...Ceasar and Gorgonzola. The Ceasar dressing was very good. We both ordered filets...excellent! Well cooked and delicious. We would recommend visiting Raindancer .
Very nice staff our waiter was great my wife says it's the best steak she has ever had the whole meal was great we will definitely be going back would recommend raindancer to anyone who likes a greaat steak
Great attentive service.
Great place to have a very high quality steak. Several of us repeat to go here when we travel to town, because the steak/ food is always excellent, and we like the semi-casual setting. Also, the salad bar, which is part of the meal, is outstanding -- simple, but very fresh with just the right items to assemble a great starter salad. As repeat customers, we are always treated in a VIP manner.
PHENOMENAL SERVICE. Eden, our waiter, seemed to know what we needed before we did. Every request was immediately taken care of. I mean IMMEDIATELY! The food was great and the owner checked in a couple of times to ensure we were happy. We dine out quite a bit and I am very critical. You have to try Raindancer!
Great steaks and lobster. Good old fashioned steak House with great service!
Wow! The ambiance, food & service were all great! I would recommend Raindancer for everyday dining, special occasions & it’s very romantic.
