Everything was pretty darn good.
Was a little tough to judge food as had a cranky baby with us (sorry!) and kinda shoved our food down while passing her around. My porterhouse was very good, wife's filet medallions with shrimp was superb. Salad and sides that come with the dinners were excellent. Choice of house salad or the Great salad bar! Only thing that was actually wrong to note was the scallops on our starter was 90 seconds or so overcooked and I lived in New Bedford so I'm a little biased picky there. It came out before our drinks which I'm fine with because we had a special hot water request to warm a baby bottle and they had to get something that would work.
Service was great, the host got us a seat in ample time. Was comfortable, I like the darker environment, relaxed, fairly quiet but just enough noise.
Loved the $20 gift card walking out the door. Thanks again
this was our first visit to Raindancer. We went for the sunset special. $20, for choice
of 2 salads, 5 entrees, 3 other entrees were on this menu if you wished to pay a higher price,
choice of 2 desserts. Well worth the price. Food was very good, service excellent. good ambiance.
We will go back
Everyone was very attentive to our needs and comfort for drink, food and no rush from bar to dinner table. We felt welcome from start to finish. All food was absolutely delicious! The tomatoes in my friends salad were so fresh I could smell them from across the table! Thank you, it was a delightful evening!
It was our Anniversary which i told them ahead of time no mention if we were celebrating.
Food was excellent. I did however feel as thow this high end restraunt should have a pepper mill at all tables or at least offerd at time of serving...LOVE MY PEPPER...
Wonderful meal, wonderful service
We found this gem on Open Table looking for a place for a good steak. We chosenit because of the reviews and because it was a great halfway point for friends meeting coming from the north and south.
How refreshing to have a wonderful steak, nice salad bar, potato all included with wonderful service. We are so over the national Morton’s/Capital Grill/Ruth’s Chris nickel diming attitude and wanting to them turn the table over quick.
Beyond the entrees the sides were greats as was the desserts.
We felt welcome, not rushed and appreciated as diners. We definitely will be back.
Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.
Susan was our waitress she was very attentive and gave us great recommendations. We ordered the filet and it was excellent. We will return soon.
My friend and I come here at least once a month and always order the hamburger because we both think it's the best around. For some reason we both decided to try the "power lunch" and ordered the salmon. We both enjoyed our choice. I also had the cup of onion soup and my friend had the Caesar salad. It was a lot of food and we both had leftovers of the salmon to take home for later. Raindancer never disappoints and I always enjoy my meal and service.
Took my middle son for his birthday. Good appetizers and very good steaks. Our waiter was very good, attentive and knowledgeable.
We are from NYC and new to West Palm Beach. We've been eating out most nights, have established a few go-to restaurants and tonight we wanted a steak house. Read various reviews, and picked Raindancer as it was closest to our condo. Well, did we luck out--Raindancer is a first class, fabulous steak house, with a comfortable, well designed old fashioned feel, well burnished wood booths and tables a gorgeous bar and a wood shingled ceiling. The management is stellar, old fashioned, well mannered , Carl, the manager, checked in on us twice to see if we needed anything. Susan our server was a sweetheart, and helpful in helping me make choices in food and drink--and the food and drink--across the board was fabulous. Our drinks were fresh and inventive the Chianti was first rate and well priced. My husband had the filet mignon and lobster tail. The filet was melt in your mouth, perfect. The Lobster tail was plump, super fresh and flavorful. The salad bar inventive and I loved their house "Green Goddess " dressing. I had their cheeseburger, which I can say was the best I'v ever had in my life. Really extraordinary. . And it's charming and cozy as well. So much better than the typical, stuffy steak houses. We are so glad we found Raindancer, it's a gem. And we'll for sure -- be back.
My family and I went on Mother’s Day and had the special they were running. We started off with a yummy Caesar salad, then a filet mignon with lemon asparagus and a baked potato (which was my only disappointment, really wish there was another side option), and had a chocolate mouse cake for dessert. All in all, the food was great. Definitely will be returning :)
My party (of 12!) but not once did the staff act inpatient or try to push us along in any way, especially considering it was Mother's Day and reservations must have been piled up. The food was great, the staff wonderful, and the entire place comfortable and pleasant. Great place for just about any occasion!
Mother’s Day. Two hour advanced reservation secured. Excellent service of excellent mean at a fair price! Cudos to Open Table and RainDance for turning family disasters into a joyful memory!!!
Nice restaurant and people very kind good food
This was our initial visit to Raindancer; it will not be our last. We'll remember this first time fondly, as it came on a rainy Mother's Day that in no way dampened a wonderful meal at a surprisingly reasonable cost.
Our steaks were prepared as ordered. Service was attentive and friendly, including brief visits to the table by the absolutely charming owners.
We could not have been more pleased with this exceptional dining experience.
I find this place hit and miss. Some times, the experience is exactly what you would want/expect of a steak house.
This particular night was not one of them. The restaurant did not appear busy and we had reservations, arriving early for our reservations. We were repeatedly told 10 minutes until we were going to be seated for it to take over an hour. We had a cocktail before dinner and when we wanted to order a bottle of wine with dinner, were greeted with a response from the waitress of "Really? Even with a cocktail?" Have to say I have never heard that type of response. Almost as if she did NOT want us to spend money. Upon delivery of the bottle of wine, she then proceeded to crack the decanter, glass may have/may not have gotten into a salad so that had to be replaced. Then our steaks came out. Both came out undercooked, one had to go back a third time. (And this was for medium rare lamb chops a and medium steak). Once we finally got the right thing, it was good but definitely not handled professionally from start to finish
The service was excellent and the food was great.
Awesome service excellent food
First time visit and will definitely go back again! The portions are generous, the food is right on point and the service was terrific. Excellent place for having a quiet and enjoyable cocktail before a great meal!
The food is really great and the service is superb!!
As always excellent service and the food was amazing
Thank you Carl for making our dinner special
It on opentable notes but I do not think they read it because when I mentioned it Host seemed a little nervous but they did bring a free birthday dessert with candle & sparkler & two waitressing happy birthday
Service was excellent & food was good !!!
Figure 100.00 to 125.00 for two people
The included salad bar way very good. The wine selection was mediocre. Steak ordered came back cooked way too much. $20 gift card and free desert given to make up for it.
I was walking with a handshake and I received a $20 gift card to come again
We come here every year when we are in town and I look forward to it every year. Unfortunately this year was a bit of a let down. 3 out of 4 meals were over cooked and we did not finish....they should have taken notice. My first lamb chip was was charred so everything after that tastes like char. My companions Salmon was over cooked, and stuffed shrimp dry. Service was slow and the place was not full for a Saturday night. I love the atmosphere, and the long term employees. The Maple Bacon is the bomb. I'm sad this visit fell short.
I was personally made to feel very welcomed. Overall service was great. Waiter was very attentive and had the attitude of wanting to satisfy my needs. I will definitely go again and recommend to my friends.
I really like this restaurant. Great drinks. Good selection. And the best Mac and cheese in town.
We had the pleasure of dining here with friends this past Saturday. We had a cocktail at the bar while our table was being prepped. They have a lovely bar which should have been packed but unfortunately wasn't, its down the street from a very lively sports bar that was packed- compared to this cozy intimate steakhouse, where you can converse without screaming .
We ordered the bacon appetizer, more like a smokey brisquet, tasted very good; a shrimp cocktail, fresh and decent size; the swordfish, fresh, nice portion and nicely prepared; and a cowboy steak, enough for 2, lightly charred and marbled, and prepared exactly as ordered. We were pleased with our service, the woman was friendly, available and helpful. The restaurant is one of the oldest and best around, you can taste the difference when you have a delicious aged beef steak. The food is really great, its a shame more people don't come here; yes, its "older" but we come for the meal and conversation, the bar and music are a bonus. We've never had bad service, are appreciative and friendly, not stressed or hurried and maybe that's the difference from those that have complained. Cheers!
Have dined here many times over the past two years.
Always great service and delicious food.
Greeted like family at the door!
Very good wine list.
We ordered twin Lobster tails and they were done perfectly, Booth seats are too close to the table for comfort and would like to see that changed or we would request a table next time.
The service was excellent, very pleased. Highly recommended.
Dinner with my wife was fantastic. Our waiter, Bobby, was great and the food was everything we were hoping for. Definitely going to be going back again.
First time here . Heard a lot about it over the years.
Old, dingy, worn out decor. Bad bar singer with bad acoustics.
Food was honestly just OK.
Steak Au Poivre looked great, prepared perfectly but had very little taste outside of the peppercorns. Steak needed a lot of salt.
Creamed Spinach was good. just good not great.
Baked potato was over done.
Old outdated salad bar.
all in all, not bad but not great either
Lots of better alternatives in town
Amazing food and service!
I have been at this restaurant several times and had always enjoyed the attention and great food. Not this time. The waiter behavior was not very professional. The food was mediocre. It was never like that. Hope it was just a bad day for the restaurant. It could loose the position lt has had in the past.
Raindancer has been a West Palm staple for over 40 years. We are from Georgia and ate there while on vacation in March 2018. We have not eaten there in several years, because it is not convenient to our Singer Island hotel, but that was a mistake. It is worth the drive. The Cowboy ribeye with “Pittsburgh “ preparation is outstanding. It is gigantic, but you can take some home for tomorrow’s lunch.
Our server, Robert, was entertaining and made dinner fun!
Very slow service. extremely load..the dininf area is basically one big loud bar.
We are in Florida and they have NO Florida fish on the menu
A little worn around the edges but great steaks. Recommended for local choice.
