Love this gem, always a great time, great drinks, delicious food, amazing staff!
We enjoyed everything about this restaurant. We chose to dine indoors but the outdoor dining area looked very nice. The food was really good as well as the service. A little pricey but to be expected for the quality. We will definitely return and would highly recommend.
Everything was super slow. Waited 5 min for the waitress to greet us then waited another 5 min to get waters. We got there at 7:15pm for a reservation, food finally arrived at 8:30pm, didn’t get the check until 9:30pm. It wasn’t even that busy. Ordered grilled onions and had to remind waitress and they didn’t come until my last piece of meat. For $270 I expected much better food and service. I won’t be back
We arrived a few minutes early and were quickly ushered to a back room where no one else was seated. Originally we thought it was to spread out the seating only to see that no one else was seated in this back room but us. At the end of our meal, we asked why we were the only ones seated there only to be told it was because we were seated to spread the tables among the servers. That would have made sense except that by the time we left, every table in the front of the restaurant was full. When we asked the server, we were told that it was to spread out tables amongst the servers. He could tell we were disappointed and then offered us a piece of chocolate cake on the house - we declined. He then offered to give each of us our own dessert - which we also declined as we weren’t interested in getting anything for free. We wanted an explanation. Then the restaurant owner came over and offered us a free after dinner drink which we also declined. There was a dress code of no sleeveless shirts which we didn’t about know until we arrived. We were nicely dressed - as nice or nicer than those seated in the front y of the restaurant. If we weren’t dressed appropriately - they should have told us that when we arrived instead of making excuses. Also, the server never provided us with the specials or checked back to see if we needed anything else during our meal. This is a dated, tired restaurant relying on older repeat traffic. We went there (drive an hour and a half to go) as our father used to love this restaurant and I can tell you it will be my last time dining there. Don’t waste your $ here as there are nicer restaurants that would love to host you for a nice meal.
Great steak and potato and salad place with old school charm.
Love this place. The music, mood, ambiance and food are perfection. The service is also quite good. Would recommend this place over other like places that are also very good.
Food was delicious
Very good neigborhood restaurant. It was busier outside than we would have liked due to what looked like a private group. Our waitress, Kathy, was wonderful and did her best to keep up with the crowd. We will be back for sure.
Got the Porterhouse medium. AMAZING. DELICIOUS. WORTH EVERY PENNY
The problems of this visit are compounded by the fact that this visit ended up partially ruining Valentine's day so keep that in mind. I ordered a filet "pittsburgh rare" and got it medium. This would be unacceptable for a longhorn, let alone something that bills itself as a high end steakhouse. So I told the waiter and he promptly tried to convince me that it was "very rare" and offered pushback to sending it back. Eventually I got a new steak and it was cooked correctly, but truly it just didn't taste like anything special. All in all the food was disappointing, the service was disappointing, the competence of the cooks was disappointing, and the price for all this made it all the more of a disappointing experience on what was supposed to be our special day. Steer clear of Raindancer.
Great steaks and salads. Very dark inside but that’s ok, it’s an old school steakhouse. Can’t wait to go back.
Ted was our server and he was very attentive, polite and on the spot. My husband and I both had ribeye, garlic mashed potatoes and a house salad. Excellent!
The dirty vodka martinis were the best!!
Raindancer is our go to Restaurant in West Palm Beach when we're entertaining business clients. It has Old school NYC Steakhouse charm to it that reminds me of my old haunts like Sparks, S & W's, Keen's and the rest.
The food is delicious, the wine list superb and the service is very professional.
Great for non business meals too!
Great restaurant! Great ambiance! Great food! And great staff!
Loved the overall experience. The food was delicious, service very good, the ambiance was truly delightful. I felt the ghost of the rat pack dining with us, cozy, romantic, sexy vibe. Love the bar and outdoor area too. A visit from the owner to our table was an added conversational treat!
I ate & drank with friends @ the Raindancer at least 2 or 3 times per week when the restaurant was operated by Frank Callander, the original owner, & Jim Stewart. You could not beat the quality of the food nor the service. I was pleased to find the food still exceptional under the new owner, the service very good & the welcoming atmosphere much the same.
One of the steaks was really under cooked
The Filets were cooked perfectly. The creamed corn was amazing full of flavors.
Amazing. Server was attentive. Food was delicious
Never again, absolutely awful!!! Went on NYE with my wife, wait for very short, that was fine. That was about the best part of the night. I'll start a list to keep it organized.
1. Were told the waiter had been there 45 years, ok great, we scored an awesome waiter, hell no. Did not go over the menu like high end steak houses should talking about the items, cuts, etc, etc. Basically said to us, what do you want and nothing else.
2. We did not receive a bread basket like other tables had, instead they rationed out 1 roll to each of us with a pat of butter the size of my toe nail.
3. Wife ordered lobster bisque, extremely small portion for the price and not one shred of lobster meat in there.
4. I ordered a del'monaco steak. it was the shi!tty cut of meat!!! it was incredibly thin there was only 1 side to it, a loaded baked potato came with cheese that was cold and hard, and no butter.
5. wife ordered stuff shrimp, got 6 and the shrimp were like rubber. extremely overcooked.
6. at that point we were livid, asked for a new order, took 20 minutes, and by that time they have cleared the table, they give her the dish and we're staring at the them like we have no utensils, you took them all. how am i supposed to eat this? instead he says i'll get you a togo box. puts the box on the table and walks away, still no utensils mind you. we dump (literally) the shrimp in the box and walk out.
7. he gave us a $20 gift card for the awful meal however we'll never go back again. the food is crap, overpriced and the decor is straight out 1978.
Had a great NYE experience! I had on one of the best Filets I have ever had! My husband and son’s NY strips were cooked perfect. The asparagus was also very good and crispy. We would definitely go again when in town again!
Steak and service were excellent. Very good restaurant
Food was excellent as always. Service was very good where it usually is excellent.
We were not given the special Thanksgiving menus when shown to our table and had to ask to them. Our waiter was friendly but I had to catch him between his other tables to refill my water glass and my husband filet arrived to our table with the special sauce he had requested. Another waiter had delivered our dinners then walked away so it took a few minutes to flag down our waiter to request the sauce.
Another outstanding evening of delicious food and good service. Our favorite steakhouse in Palm Beach County.
We thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary dinner on the beautiful outdoor patio. Our server was very personable, but unobtrusive. The food was excellent, our version of surf & turf, we shared everything. And, they brought us a delicious chocolate dessert with a candle to celebrate. Would definitely return.
Service was very good .
Our anniversary dinner was excellent and our server and all the staff were exceptional! It was out first visit and we will definitely be returning soon.
Always a wonderful dinner...service and atmosphere make for a great evening.
The best steakhouse in Palm Beach County! Beautiful outdoor dining patio to enjoy a relaxing dinner with excellent service. The host, Nick, is most gracious to add to our dining experience.
We went for our anniversary and they were backed up and we were asked to go to the bar and wait despite having reservations. Later on we were seated but apparently nobody told the waiter we were and we had to wait some more. The manager tried to rectify this with a free house wine and dessert. The steak was delicious. The location seems a bit outdated.
We have been going to Raindancer for 40 years and the decor has changed very little in that time. I wish it was a little less gloomy but overall the food is good and the service excellent. We had stopped going there for about five years since we had a few poor experiences prior to that but I recently read that management had changed so we gave it one more try. It was good like we remembered it but I just wish they would update the interior.
We had our wedding reception here and we try to visit at least once a year, never disappoints!!
Good food, good service, social distancing outdoors.
Dinner was delicious and service was very attentive.
Raindancer never disappoints since the new management has taken over.
Great place to have an incredible meal, with first class service and food. Highly Recommended.
Food was excellent and the service was awesome!!!
From the bar service before dinner and throughout the evening the service and food quality were excellent
This was our first time out to a public restaurant since the beginning of the pandemic. We were extremely pleased that there was social distancing within the seating of the dining room. The waitstaff wore masks and gloves which also eased our minds. The service was perfect and the steaks were absolutely delicious. This was a great experience for a first time out in a public restaurant. We definitely look forward to going back.
