The food and service was excellent. I would suggest you bring a sweater or a jacket since the Restaurant was cold.
We will definitely return to Rainbow Palace.
Excellent Chinese food without some of the usual fare. Deliciously prepared and beautifully served by the top notch wait staff. The ambience was lovely, like the Manhattan of several decades ago. Not your typical Fort Lauderdale restaurant in any way. Much better!
No reason to serve food table side
Made the fish soggy.
Arrived with a 8:30 PM reservation, got seated at the smallest table they have, the noise level was so loud that we could not hear each other without leaning over the table.
The level of food quality has gone down, we have eaten here many other times and food was much better quality then. For what we had the value was poor. There are other less fancy Chinese Restaurants in South Florida with much better authentic Chinese food with less expensive choices that we think we will stick with. Will not be returning anytime soon.
They honored our reservation. Our server Russell was wonderful and the food was outstanding! We try to go every couple of months.
As always, our Rainbow Palace experience was outstanding. From the time we entered, we were greeted and taken care of. Napkin service, cocktails, appetizers, and dinner - fabulous!
Absolutely the best Chinese food I have ever had.
This place serves up the best high-end Chinese food in Fort Lauderdale! Lobster/Shrimp dumplings and the crispy steak are yummy!!!
make sure you call in advance for lamp chops and honey roasted pork
Food is well prepared with fresh ingredients. Not an great selection or variety. Not many schezuan or Hunan entrees. Fried rice was prepared with again fresh ingredients but little or no taste. It had no detectable soy sauce.
Food is very authentic and delicious. Orange peel beef is outstanding. Jumbo shrimp dusted in almond flour lightly fried was superb.
The most excellent lobster and shrimp dumplings and house wonton soup. The scallop appetizer is also delicious. The service is amazing!
Did not tell us about doeciaks
Rainbow Palace is, well, just the best there is. Jimmy always create an environment where you and guests feel extremely special. It is easy to tell that each dish is completely made fresh with the best ingredients.
Food was excellent
We are repeat customers of Rainbow Palace that is located in the Venice of America minutes from famous Ft. Lauderdale Beach.
Luxurious furnishings with Marble Columns welcome Elite Food and Wine Connoisseur‘s arriving ready to indulge in gourmet Chinese Food. There is also a charming private room with beautifully painted walls creating comfortable dining in a jungle type atmosphere.
Some of our favorite dishes that we order each time are, Grand Manier Scallops served crispy in lightly dusted Chestnut Fluor accented with a tangy, sweet and slightly spicy sauce topped with white and black sesame sprinkles.
Shrimp dumplings and also Sautéed Eggplant are not to be missed appetizers. For Entree’s Prime NY Strip thinly coated in chestnut Fluor served crispy with sauce on the side (we always request it be served whole and not sliced).
Schezwan Snapper in a slight spicy sauce, Orange Shrimp, Also either of the crispy Duck’s with a side order of White Fried Rice.
The Wine list is carefully chosen by Wine expert James and offers several appropriate selections of Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Noir and many others to choose from. These eclectic wine lust pairs very well with the cuisine and is better than most any Wine list in the area.
Formally dressed and well experienced servers offer proper service all evening.
Having patronized this destination dining spot for over 25 years with culinary experts, we have observed a consistently well operated dining establishment by owner Kenny and staff with superb Food and service, we rate Rainbow Palace the best Chinese food in South Florida.
If you have an urge for Chinese Food that had not been satisfied, hurry in and tell them Billy Wisdom sent you.
First time here and the food was great! Service was the best I have had in South Florida. Little pricey by Fort Lauderdale standards but nonetheless had a great experience!
Another excellent dining experience at The Rainbow Palace We look forward to seeing you soon
Super Restaurant avec une nourriture extra avec services impeccables.
Best Chinese food in city. Pricey but worth it. Sauces are top notch. Use high quality ingredients.
Great hype, mediocre delivery. Standard Chinese fare, nicely presented with friendly waiters. Food mediocre, lots of heavy brown sauce. Price certainly near gourmet level.
Fabulous food. Great service. Wonderful drinks. Have gone here numerous times and each time is as great as the last.
Always fresh food and delicious 😋
Food was exceptional. Pricey but high quality. The atmosphere was beautiful as we were in the room with the jungle murals and it was very pretty and not noisy.
Rainbow Palace is always a wonderful experience. The food is delicious and it is always a treat to go there! I would definitely recommend to family and friends.
Great Chinese food. Attentive service Just an overall great time.
Way over rated. It’s not New York nor Hong Kong style. Must be old Florida style. We were very disappointed as we were expecting to find gold and got mediocre food and service.
Food is terrific and the service is excellent. Finally a step up Asian restaurant. My mom and I highly recommend this establishment.
Always a fantastic dining experience. Been going there for 20 years and have never had anything less than a wonderful, delicious experience. Have brought everyone we know to try it and every single person has raved and gone back. Spectacular restaurant in every way.
This is the 3rd time in the last 2 months I've been to Rainbow Palace. My daughter's Birthday was thus day and here is where she wanted to go. It was delicious, as usual! We had the special wonton soup and the calamari, along with a lychee martini, mai tai, and the guys had beer. Then for our entrees we had Duck with asparagus and mushrooms, sweet and sour chicken special, scallops dish and the vegetable lomein! Everything was outstanding, including the service! Beautiful ambiance. The waiter brought Lindsay a piece of delicious hazelnut chocolate pie with a candle. I'm sure we'll be back again soon!
Thought the lemon chicken in wine with garlic was very mushy this time. The veggies in the sauce were excellent as was the fried rice. The wonton soup is always an A!
Regrettably, this fine restaurant had perhaps a bed night. The food was OK, not great, but the service was terrible. We had to ask at least once where each order was. Waiter was just not attentive. In fairness, he had a full compliment of tables to take care of, but there was really no excuse for the poor service. The drinks were one the verge of being overpriced and the desserts were overpriced and mediocre, at best. I have been frequenting this establishment for over 20 years and hope that tonight was aberrational.
After seeing this restaurant make the Top 100 list in America we had to try it after all these years. It did not impress me from a food standpoint. Service was great with table side cart service. Having lived in the CA Bay Area, the Asian food out there is amazing. From a food standpoint this would not be anywhere near the top of any list. Had the food been outstanding the price would have been acceptable, but this subpar food is way overpriced. I'm not one to write a negative review but I don't know what people are thinking with this one.
Wow that was the best Asian cuisine I have ever had in my life! The steak was amazing and the sauce that goes with it is tantalizing to your tongue! Every bite is more savoring than the last. I already have plans to come back. The only regret I have is not coming here sooner!
One of the best Asian cuisine in Fort Lauderdale Fl
Food is always fantastic. Waiters are excellent
Have been eating at this restaurant for many years, never a bad meal
The best Chinese restaurant in town!!! The staff and the place it's perfect!!!
I was the only one of our group that had been there. It had been quite awhile and I was happy to see all my favorites were still available, like the scallop appetizer and the spring rolls. Our main server was Eddie, he was great! Professional but not stuffy. He suggested we plate the appetizers separately, easier to eat.
Everything was excellent! The lemon chicken, crispy beef, spicy fried rice were prepared perfectly.
We had ordered the last bottle of a particular wine. Eddie made a great suggestion for our second.
My friends had a great time...we will definitely return.
Nice find. More of a cross between a Chinese and mainstream restaurant (aka not necessarily a typical "sharing" menu). Not a huge menu, which is okay with me. Food was excellent. Ambience great. Service was very exceptional. We will definitely go back again. Cozy and upscale.
Starting with the wonderful food smell our tastebuds began to salivate as soon as we entered the restaurant. The organs flavor beef and the duck with asparagus were amazing as always. The chefs Lo mein was not up to its usual standard.
There was an elderly group of 6 who were seated next to us during dining and they were demanding all of the waiters time so that may explain the lo mein being served off temperature. We can’t wait until the Canadians go back north along with their moth ball smelling clothes.
Normally e give all tens but the clientele tonight ( totally out of control of the restaurant) impacted the experience
Truly an anomaly so we can’t wait to go back again.
