Great location for our 23rd book club anniversary!
Our waiter, Jordan was excellent! Attentive, well versed on the menu and personable!
Very pretty interior, servers were all friendly and efficient. I don’t eat meat, but my husband likes wild game, so we thought that we should try it. He was very pleased with his choices, but i had the halibut which was very bland. I didn’t find much of a selection of sides, so i was disappointed.
Service was meh. Food was not worth the money. Empty tables everywhere the entire time we were there. Place seems to have gone down hill in the last 3-5 years since I last visited.
The food was below bar but the service was excellent. Weird decor with dead animals abound. We won’t be going back.... ohhh, and some very portly guy was loud and obnoxious....
The Rainbow Lodge exceeded all of my expectations; from the warm atmosphere to the attentive service and delicious food. It was a wonderful experience!
Great food amongst an incredible setting. You easily forget you are in the heart of a city. The patio/garden area is gorgeous. Great place to let your kids have a little fun while parents relax.
Lamb was under cooked but delicious. Had to send it back for re-fire
Food and service were great as always. Back service was way short - looked at warm bread pudding and ice cream for 10+ minutes with no utensils or plates until cold and melted. Then waited for wine bottle takeout til too late - left $50 worth of decent wine.
Best burger I've had in a long while. All homemade and the blend of meat, etc. is phenomenal.
Every was incredible —- the food was top tier. Everyone tried something different. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and helped us navigate ordering with fluidity. We spent over two hours there and sat in a secluded corner. We will all be back there soon. My father looked at the venue for coordinating business events and family gatherings. The server that showed him around was extremely knowledgeable. All the staff contributed to making our experience seamless!
Always a great experience here but Saturday night seemed a little off. Given that we had reservations at 9:15 and the restaurant closes at 10 I didnt expect the best service but I was hoping to be surprised. I sadly was not. They had ran out of bread before we got there and the entire experience seemed a little rushed. We wanted to order a bottle of wine but didn’t want to feel pressured into leaving and drinking it as fast as we could. Our waited was brand new and we appreciated the effort he was putting in. This place is always top notch when it comes to food and service but overall for the last experience it seems off. Given all this, in no way will this discourage us from coming back as we love the resuturanr as a whole.
I was disappointed.
The ambiance was amazing. The crab cake and young greens and Gorgonzola salad were tremendous.
I ordered a Dewars and soda with lime. I received a soda and lime, clear, not a drop of Scotch. The waiter got that corrected.
I ordered the Cowboy rib eye - medium. It arrived with blood covering the plate it was so rare.
The waiter was very nonchalant and never asked how our food was.
When I pay $190 for meal and my cocktail has no alcohol with a steak that is inedible, that beyond disappointing when taking my wife out for a belated Valentine's dinner.
I believe that the restaurant is probably exceptional and I just ran into inattentive wait staff.
First Time guest and the food was wonderful. The wait staff was great, Wine steward was right on with the two wines we picked.
RL met every expectation I had. My wife was very surprised and thought it was a romantic atmosphere. They had wine on the table already poured like I had requested in my reservation. There was no wait time at all- we walked in, gave my name and were brought directly to the table. Our server was great and helpful. The valet drivers helped my wife and I out of the truck as soon as we pulled up to the door, and retrieved the truck fast after dinner. We had a great experience and thank everyone who help us that evening.
Food, and service was impeccable. Also the setting is what you would see in an alpine lodge. Not what you would expect for the middle of Houston.
Outstanding service. Great food. Wonderful drinks. By far our favorite place to dine
Had a business lunch with my boss and a prospective physician for our hospital. Everything was great...food, service, atmosphere...no complaints.
Everything is outstanding @ Rainbow Lodge!! Love it!
Celebrating valentines as well as a birthday. Hoped for recognition of birthday but was not.
Valentines Day dinner was everything I wanted and expected. Fantastic!
I visited the old location many times and this was my first visit to their new location. I loved everything about the new location. The ambiance, the food, the service and the noise level were all perfect. I cannot wait to go back and this is a fantastic place to go for a business lunch or dinner. It is a great place to celebrate a special occasion. Everyone must go here once to find our what you are missing.
Excellent food and service, beautiful setting. Consistently a great experience.
My girlfriend and I came here for an early Valentine's dinner. Everything was wonderful! Our server was prompt and knowledgeable. The food and drinks were delicious and well presented. And the ambiance was beautiful! We cannot wait to go back soon!
We had a group of four close friends and weee noisy, so very glad we had the whole room for us. Marc Anthony was superb, attentive and gracious at all times! Thanks for a great experience
Can't go wrong with Sunday night $15 dinner special and half price wine by the glass. Bit of a drive from Pearland and 59northbound closure didn't make it easy but really enjoyed our evening and the chicken fried steak.
We loved it - it was pretty noisy but not bad. A little slow for waiter to arrive at our table. Overall great time!!
The rainbow lounge is always a favorite from the ambience to the food to the service. I love it at night and this was my first Sunday brunch.
That bread basket is heaven on earth. Also highly recommend the duck gumbo
Brunch is usually wonderful here, but our server had trouble understanding how to correct our bill. We had a few substitutions but were charged full price for all items instead of an upcharge. If it was too difficult to edit the bill, we suggested we be given the food we were charged for, but he just left for 5 minutes, came back empty handed and made zero edits to the bill. A far cry from the normal standard of service at Rainbow. I'd hoped my companions (new to the area) would become regulars after trying it, but that was a little off putting.
My wife & I celebrated our 37 anniversary and we couldn't have pick a better place. The food was awesome & so was the service. It was great to see & hear another people was celebrating their Anniversary, first date and saw a couple get engaged. We loved the warmth of the place and behind every corner was something different. Thank you Very Much!!!

The food was beyond outstanding, though the food and drinks were all a bit too pricey. Nevertheless, the style of the lodge itself, the beauty of the outdoor area, the attentive service, and delicious food made it a very memorable experience, and I would certainly recommend this place if you are looking to impress a date or in-laws, for instance.
Excellent food and service attentive but not intrusive. We were seated next to a large party but our party of four could still hear each other. Looking forward to a return visit!
This is one of my favorite restaurants in town. The food is great. The service is great. You should just stop thinking about it, and go.
I sat at the bar awaiting my guest. Service was excellent and friendly. We were seated quickly and sat in an area that was off the main dining area. I usually find that Rainbow Lodge can be very loud and difficult to have conversation. Despite the fact there was a large party there, we were able to enjoy our dinner and converse comfortably. My guest had the Lobster Risotto and loved how spicy it was. I had the wild game trio which never disappoints. The serving portions were perfect, The best thing was our server. He was excellent-checking in on us but understanding that we were catching up with each other after a long time. We thoroughly enjoyed our interaction with him.
Waiter told us everything was delicious but didn't describe the dishes - simply said "it's delicious... it's delicious". The food was heavily spiced and both a friend and I had stomach problems. Ambiance is nice.
As always it was a beautiful setting and the most delicious food.
Food was ok, last time we were here it was fabulous. Don't know why, just ok
I took my girlfriend (now fiancée) here for her birthday. It’s such a nice place and the people there are absolutely wonderful. The place is so nice outside, the service is great and the food is really good. For what is worth, I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to have a romantic dinner.
