Our favorite spot. We go often and recommend to everyone!!
Our dinner at Rails was excellent! Besides the food being absolutely delicious, the service was above and beyond any other restaurant.
The food is outstanding. The place was very loud. Hard to carry on a conversation. During the week, much quieter. The waiter banged into us a total of 5 times with no apologies. Too many tables.
The food and service was outstanding.
Rails never disappoints. It has a great atmosphere and the food is always fresh and well prepared. It is a bit pricy but worth it. Appetizers to main course and service are all great. Recommended
One of our steaks had to be returned to the kitchen twice before it was cooked properly. The restaurant did nothing to "make it up" to us. We had to switch from a table to a booth because we couldn't hear one another and the chairs were too low to reach the table. Overall, we would not go back. The restaurant is trying to be too many things. Just stick with the speak easy.
Lobster tail was tough. Glasses were dirty. Food otherwise was good.
Loved it here. Food was excellent. I will be back!!
Service was a little slow. However, a manager did come over to apologize for slow drink service. The lobster was missing from a surf and turf meal. Manager comped it which was the right thing to do in this situation. Even with the issues we would definitely go back
Always outstanding in every category. Food, ambience, & staff are excellent. Desserts are generous & delicious.
Pretty cool speakeasy and ginormous booths in main dining room as well as a beautiful fireplace. Have also purchased gift cards for others and get rave reviews from recipients.
Ok not great. Medium rare strip came out medium. Girls said basically the same about fillets Was dry not juicy at all. If it was indeed prime, I was not moved Sides were meh.
Prefer higher end Steakhouses.
Great burgers and great ambiance! Had an excellent lunch here!
Very noisy and kids running around on second floor added to the noise level.
Had a great time, service was great, our waiter was awesome, food was very good, definitely will be going back again.
Was very disappointed, ordered the steak recommended, came out later than the other meals, raw then went back, it came back burned. Not close to medium rare either time. Never had medium rare and hot in the center??? After that the service went down hill. It was as if we did something wrong and she was avoiding us. Service last time wasn’t great last time either. Time to move on.
Love this place for special occasions or for drinks. Our waiter, Blake, was so enthused and gave great recommendations. One of our sides did not come out, but it was remedied quickly and still came out during our meal. This goes without being said, but we will be back.
Food was excellent. If I had the money I would go every day.
I thoroughly enjoyed Rails. The atmosphere, the food and the service combined to make a fabulous evening.
Waayyyy overpriced for subpar service and food . I would not recommend this steakhouse go to Ruth Chris or Houston’s .
My fiancé and I went to Rails to celebrate his birthday. A friend recommended and we patiently waited for a reservation to open. The staff and service were unreal. Before we even finished half a glass of water, it was refilled. When a plate was finished, it would be cleared in less than a minute. Food came out hot and extremely fresh. Best oysters and calamari ever! Love this place!
Great date spot.
The speakeasy is dark and sultry.
Also saw the event space which is also very unique - what a cool place to host an event.
My husband had steak and I had the stuffed shrimp. The steak was tasteless. It wasn’t seasoned and for my stuffed shrimp not bad , but the corn grits was salty. Our server was not very attentive. The only positive was the atmosphere Tried it twice now and will not go back.
I thought the service was terrible. The waiters did not remember simple requests and took forever to return. We asked for different bread and 20 minutes later found out there were no other choices. The food was cold and not well cooked. The service staff acted like they were doing us a favor by eating there.
Not good or going back anytime soon.
This was our second time dining here and just as impressed as we were the first time. Every step of the way was met with ease between Valet parking and being seated. Our waiter was on top of things and responsive to our needs. I had the Kobe Meatballs for an appetizer and they were delicious. The Filet Mignon was excellent as well, along with the roasted garlic that was served with it. For a side, I had the loaded potato, which is enormous and delicious. Throughout our meal, the manager stopped by a couple of times to make sure everything was good and even offered to get me another drink, which the server was already working on. We sat upstairs in a high-top by the bar. The ambiance was lively, however, it was not overbearing.
Rails is a beautiful restaurant. The service was very good (John was our waiter); however, we were not that impressed with the actual meal itself. My husband got the wedge salad that really didn't have enough dressing on it, so it was a little dry. I got 1/2 dozen east coast oysters which were very good, but let's face it, they just open those so there really isn't anything special about them. The bread on the tables was "stale" to the touch and was not heated. My husband ordered a dinner special which was Bourbon Glazed ribeye. He said the taste was good, but he ordered it medium rare and it clearly came medium (very little pink inside). I ordered the bone in filet (medium rare), which came so raw I couldn't even finish it and it also had a large vein of fat running through it (you don't EVER see that with filet). The blue cheese au gratin and the creamed spinach were both very good. We ordered a full carafe of sangria as well ($17). It tasted good, albeit a tad on the sweet side, but this was the SMALLEST carafe of sangria I have ever ordered. I even asked the waiter if this was a full or 1/2. I guess we are just used to the kind you get at the Spanish/Portuguese restaurant. This is the first time I ever left a steakhouse hungry. The best part of the experience was the Speakeasy downstairs. You have to enter the room by pulling on a book on the bookshelf. The ambiance is really cool and the bartenders were very friendly. For $205 for two people, with NO additional drinks or dessert, I will find a better place to spend my money. I am only giving this a 3 star because of the speakeasy downstairs.
Our waiter Brian was amazing. There was a live band upstairs so it was pretty loud but none the less I loved the rustic ambiance. I had the mussels as an appetizer and the skirt steak with a side of buttered mash potatoes with lobster on top. My palate was in heaven. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends and family and look forward to heading back.
best steak ive ever had and ive had some spectacular steaks this statement is from a ex butcher of 25 years experience
Rails is a classy place to eat. The options were plentiful and the steaks came out perfect. We loved the side dishes as well (brussel sprouts were amazing). The noise level in the main dining area is somewhat loud so that might be an issue for some. Our favorite part of the evening was visiting the Speakeasy and chatting with John, the bartender. The Speakeasy was so cool, low key and just fun. John rocked the cocktails and was a pleasure to meet. Strong work, John! Next time we go we're going to hang out at the Speakeasy again.
Celebrating new job.
Phenomenal server. Impromptu date night included THE best Kobe burger I’ve ever had! Yum! My husband loved the lamb chops!
My husband and I decided to go here for dinner to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary (this would be our first time at this establishment). Arrived an hour before our reservation to have a pre-dinner cocktail. Wasn't aware that only the 1st level is open on Tuesdays -- bit disappointing as I wanted to go to one of the upstairs bars. The bar area was very loud and crowded, but we found 2 seats at the bar. At the risk of sounding like an old lady, the music sounded like something you would hear in a nightclub -- inappropriate, I thought. When we were taken to our table, it was still very loud as it was only a short distance from the bar. On to dinner... seafood appetizers were very good. Steaks were delicious, but mine had to go back to kitchen as it was extremely rare and I asked for medium. No problem -- it was quickly taken away with apologies and returned shortly thereafter. Glad we were told that the side dishes are "shareable", but wasn't warned of the same for dessert (huge 10-layer carrot cake - delicious, but took most of it home). Overall, I would recommend this restaurant. Food was delicious and service was excellent. A bit pricey, but this will be our special occasion place.
This place is great even if it is a little more expensive it is worth it! The octopus appetizer and the lobster appetizer are both outstanding and they don't skimp. Cowboy steak is the way to go for steak. The butter cake dessert is more than enough for 2 people and it is yummy. Great place!
we had an excellent meal- service was outstanding will definitely return soon
Food was outstanding! Restaurant was nicely decorated; loved the fireplace!!! Hostess was super nice! However, the wait staff was kind of aloof and seemed annoyed when asking them questions about the menu. I would go back because the food was great, even though the service was luke - warm.
The food was very good. Our waitress was obviously stoned.
We has three different cuts of meat - Kansas City, Bone in Filet Mignon, and the Porterhouse for two - and the Ahi Tuna. Each was excellent and perfectly cooked and prepared. A dozen oysters and a crab salad were also perfect. We love Rails for a dinner for two or a bigger group, like the one we had last night. Great ambience, a lot of attention to detail, and always great service. Btw, the cheesecake was on the house and came with a candle because of the birthday we were there to celebrate. Oh, and go with the cream spinach and hashbrowns. Stupid good.
Noisy when crowded. Busing of table between courses was very slow.
Was a beautiful experience!, It did get a little loud after 9:30 ,but over all great time . very attentive and friendly staff
For a slow night the service was choppy.
Also my steak wasn’t cooked correctly and I didn’t send it back because that’s a pain.
Fast service wait staff knew the specials, helped with wine selection.
Will definitely come back again
