Attention to detail can be seen in this beautiful 20,000 sq. ft., restaurant where sprawling timber meets natural stonewalls, accents of glass showcase fire-and-water features in this luxe lodge. While all levels feature the same menu, the main dining room has a more sophisticated ambiance and Rafters on the second floor has a more casual lodge appeal. Descend to the lower level to find the secret passage that takes you to the wine cave, and Thirty 3, a speakeasy-style bar and lounge. Dine al fresco on our outdoor terraces offering spectacular views of the Pyramid Mountains. Most importantly, we want you to feel at home where our hospitality is second to none.
Petite Filet Mignon
Although the food was good and our server was attentive and dynamic I should have left and went to another restaurant because our treatment upon entry by the hostess team left ALOT to be desired. We felt unwanted from the DOOR. Despite placing in the notes that it was my mother’s 68th birthday that saw it fit to relegate us to a high top table across from the bar with a television playing baseball in the background in the speakeasy (LL) portion of the restaurant—unacceptable.
Then we are told to return to the first for after I voiced my COMPLETE and utter displeasure to then be told to go to the 2nd Floor as the hostess team confers—again my party of 5 is increasingly feeling unwanted. We arrive on the 2nd floor to be told there are only high top tables up here as well and confusion ensues. At this point I call my favorite restaurant in Westwood, NJ because I’ve had enough of the run around and displacement.
The restaurant finally gets their act together and walks us to a table that seats 6 that has presumably been available from the moment I walked through the door. No apologies or concessions were made for what were made to feel. Needless to say I will not be returning or recommending. I have never felt so unwanted in an establishment.
My cowboy steak was horrible and not worth the price would never get it again as I won't be back; the hash browns were diced potatoes not hash browns and should have been flipped so there would be more browning; ask the Manager? who was walking by for glass of wine never came --for the prices they charge should have been better service and quality of food I was totally disappointed as were my fellow diners
A friend’s birthday
First time there. Still had reduced seating due to the pandemic. We were there on a Tuesday night so getting a reservation was not a problem. Excellent quality steaks and generous portions of appetizers and sides. Easily shareable with two or three. In my reservation where they asked whether this was a special occasion. I truthfully said it was my wife's birthday. They comp'd the desert for us. A nice touch. The dessert we chose to share was the 10 layer chocolate cake. It was so large we took half of it home.
This was the first time at your establishment. I brought a good friend for his birthday. He ordered steak and lobster But never Received the lobster even after asking for it, two times. We sat outside and above our heads there was a racket going on the entire meal. The lobster appetizer was so chewy I couldn’t eat it. The rest of food was average at best not worth the price that we had to pay. The steaks were tasty but not very tender. One of our guests ordered a petite fillet mignon and you gave her the larger one and gave the petite to my husband. Everyone was friendly and try to be accommodating, but I was still embarrassed as I was entertaining a good friend, a Doctor Who was very accustomed to eating quality food. This was his first time at your establishment as well. It was his request that we take him there for his birthday. Suffice it to say I will Not be returning to your restaurant.
Our waiter, OD <- I hope that’s his name! Was awesome! He was attentive and gave great recommendations!
Will definitely come back for brunch :)
Food was great. Service was perfect. Really couldn't ask for anything more.
Rails never disappoints us! Quality of meals and service are consistently excellent, and the venue is unique and inviting ... especially The Speak Easy room. We are hooked!
I had a really enjoyable experience here. We had a fantastic waitress who was attentive and friendly. Our food was very good and we did not feel rushed. I thought that the company really focuses on creating a safe environment for its guests and it’s employees especially during covid. However, I witnessed a bus boy clear the table and then brush off the crumbs from the table and then reset it without wiping down the table or the placemats. Then the hostess sat the table. Even before covid happened, that would be considered unacceptable and the table still had crumbs on it when the hostess sat it. I think the staff generally tries really hard to be covid friendly but you are only as strong as your weakest link and that specific bus boy should not be in the restaurant industry.
Great meal with some old friends tonight. Food was excellent and our server Nicole was the best.
Will definitely go back even though it’s a bit of a distance for me.
Lovely place! Great ambiance, great food, and great service!
Steak had a weird taste to it. Not in a good way server got half of our order wrong, When i told her about the steak she just ignored it. VERY UNHAPPY WILL NOT RETURN.
Great service and delicious food!
Speakeasy in the basement ask for John the bartender he’s the best!
A little disappointed with Steak it had too much butter in preparation
Also the maple bacon appetizer recipe was changed I prefer prior method
Our waiter Bill was great
Love this place. I've been there quite a few times and it never disappoints!
Food is always excellent at Rails! We love the environment and staff is always so pleasant and just want to please their customers! It's one of our favorite spots!
Excellent in every way!
Great first meal back at Rails since the pandemic started. We are outside with another family who was not comfortable eating indoors. The way they have the outdoor set up it was as if we had our own space. Good was outstanding as always and we can’t wait to go back.
I've never had a bad dinner here especially during the pandemic. They've gone above and beyond compared to other establishments.
Rails even on Easter was top notch. Food came out timely and was delicious. Both steaks were cooked perfectly. The new dessert on the menu was amazing.
Good steakhouse menu, service was excellent, exactly what we expected even on a busy Easter Sunday.
Had made reservations for Easter about 2 weeks prior and got a call confirming the Wednesday before, I asked to remove 2 from the seating and they did so no problem. On Good Friday I called to add 1 back on and they were able to do so. During that process they were very nice. My wife and I had been here a few times before, the Mrs. really likes this place. It was the first time for my son, grandson, niece, wife's sister and her husband. We each got our own appetizers which were all good and impressed the first timers. Then we got our entrees and they were blown away by how good everything was. My Brother-In-Law works at a steakhouse at the Shore, and said this place made his place look like a fast food joint...lol. The next time they are up this way for an occasion they want to go back. As always the food was cooked they way we ordered and the people working were very friendly and overall happy.
Fantastic outdoor setup. Great service. Miss the valet.
Only thing it is a 2 hour seating due to covid... a little rushed but still on of my favs!
Overall everything was excellent. Food was really good and service was fantastic. The experience I had here was amazing.
My fiance and i frequent the Rails and have actually made this"our" spot. But last weekend was not what we expected. I made reservation 2 months in advance just to be seated in the basement(speak easy) my stuffed shrimp was not too good it seems they changed the recipe. It was a if i had a crab cake on top not very palatable where before it was a trendier clump of deliciousness. Very disappointed always looked forward to this summer dish.
In addition although our server was extremely courteous he does the ball on providing that evening's specials. We later heard of them after overhearing another server.
Other than that it was an ok time. Not sure how soon I'll be back.
Amazing food, always great service too. You'll never be disappointed.
We loved our food, our service was excellent and the atmosphere is always fantastic! Couldn’t be happier
Excellent food... Excellent service... Great ambiance...
Service was amazing!! Food was delicious and the restaurant is beautiful.
Great food! Reservation had to be made a few weeks in advance. Service was ok - waiter was just ok.
Great time as I took my fiancée for the first time, she loved it
We enjoyed a really nice meal at Rails. Felt the social distancing was appropriate, the food excellent, and the desserts divine!
This Is The steakhouse To Go To When You Really Love Ribeye On The Bone. The Double Cut Pablo Crusted Chops Are Out Of This World. And The Prices Are Reasonably Moderate!
Great place, great atmosphere, great food and great service! We were seated in the speakeasy level. Loved it... will definitely return.
Love this place. Food is always great.Service was exceptional. We'll be back soon.
I love coming to this restaurant. The food and service is outstanding. This was my third time going and my husband and I absolutely love the food. We came across this restaurant by watching New Jersey house wives and they filmed there which is why we decided to try it and it was the best thing.
We enjoyed a quiet dinner at the outdoor section of the restaurant.
Food was exceptional, calamari and chop chop salad for appetizers, cowboy steak and filet mignon with lobster tail.
Great pear martini. !
