The food was not as described on the menu but was tasty and the portions are huge. The service is VERY slow but the waitress was very pleasant. The alcohol drinks had no alcohol in them and did not taste good. It was a good place to try but I will not be going back.
I wanted to leave a really great review, but unfortunately I don't have that opportunity. Our service was extremely slow. Our order was not taken for over 45 minutes. We were asked if we wanted another brunch cocktail after an hour and a half. I had to ask about the ETA of our food at that same time and let the server know we were now running late to our other plans. Our food arrived 20 minutes later. There was a hair in my friend's meal. There was also a hair on the sugared croissant that was the starter. We were extremely disappointed. The restaurant comp'd our meal, which was warranted. This was my third experience at Railcar and I wish I could say I would go back, but I will not.
My friends and I met for lunch on a Saturday. The food was delicious plus they still had breakfast options available. The restaurant was very nice plus the wait staff was very pleasant and helpful. We stayed longer to visit and our waitress still continued to stop by and top off our drinks.....no rushing us out the door. I would definitely recommend for something a little different.
Today was meh! We’ve had better here. Server didn’t seem like he wanted to be there. Some of the food was amazing, others wasn’t as good as we remembered. Overall the experience wasn’t consistent.
An amazing dinner! The food was spectacular and the service was top notch.
The scallops and crab risotto was the best meal of my life. Love the cab franc. My husband had the prime rib and it was equally amazing. My only complaint is how close the tables are together. I could hear everyone around's conversation which made me hesitant to talk much.
Fabulous food and good service. The chicken schnitzel was amazing as well as the flatbread pizza. We will definitely be back again.
Overall, a great restaurant. However, I generally like only water while I'm dining and ordering only water for myself seemed to put the waitress in a bad mood. I'm not sure I received the full experience while I was there.
The food though, was excellent. This was my first experience at an upscale restaurant and it was a pleasurable experience. The food is way too expensive for any regular visits, however, I wouldn't hesitate to come back for birthdays or anniversaries.
Beef medallions are amazing! Also highly recommend the crab cakes.
Had reservations & got right in...food awesome, good choices for all
We are always pleased with the service and food at The Railcar! We actually found this restaurant when my daughter had a date at the The Railcar, the date didn't last but we did! We have gone there for many Family Birthdays and Celebrations! You will not be disappointed!
The food and service is outstanding. It was a bit loud, but I guess that's not the fault of the restaurant. It was too expensive.
Menu was not the same that the one online , the waitress was very rude about the menu, and she said somethings that was not acceptable, so I would not tell no one about going there, we were there for a Birthday and I will not be back thanks for letting me tell about it
Everything was excellent!!
I can’t even describe how exquisite my Salmon Artichoke Gemelli was... and the Asiago Breaded Chicken and Schnitzel my mother-in-law ordered brought a literal tear to my eye with its deliciousness when I tried a bite. Come here. It is amazing and is now my husband’s and my new ‘place’. Best 29th birthday ever.
This was a very poor dining experience. We had reservations and waited to be seated. We then waited to have a server assigned to our table. We then waited another hour for our food to be delivered. All meals except one were served, while one person sat without food. The prime rib potato dish was like beef jerky. The croissants were filled with oil--inedible! One table behind us, refused the same meal when it arrived. The entry to the restaurant is like a cattle trough and that is exactly the type of ambiance we experienced. This is our third visit and it never improved. Will not be returning to this place.
Went for Sunday brunch and had the chicken and waffles. The bourbon gravy is delicious. The waffels were good but would be better if they were sweeter. The chicken strips were meaty and good. Great coffee and croissants! Service was ok. Last plate (table of 4) came out several minutes after the first. Wife had the farmstead sausage and egg melt - delicious. Another person at the table had the breakfast burger and that was very good also.
Ambiance is ok, usually rather loud inside as it is a busy place. $$ out of $$ for price - $65 plus tip for breakfast of 4.
Heard about weekend brunch - amazing!! First time to visit and took local (Omaha ) friends w us. Can’t wait to try other things on the menu.
Good food. Drinks a little pricey.
Went here for Valentines dinner, and made reservations ahead of time. When we got there, they asked us if we wanted to sit in the bar, and we said okay. While the server was very friendly, everything took a very long time to get to us, as our cocktails took over 20 minutes. Our appetizer came out in good time but our entrees didn't arrive until being there for over an hour, and about 40 minutes after ordering them. The server continued to tell us that she was sorry, and they weren't expecting to be that busy tonight. I guess we were a little shocked at those comments because while it was on a weekday night, it was Valentine's Day. The parking lot wasn't full though, and there were open tables throughout the night in the restaurant. The food was very good, but the portions were not overly impressive. Also sitting in the bar area, we were overhearing the employees talking at the end of the bar over the course of the night. For Valentine's dinner, I guess it would've been nice to not have to overhear everyone else all night. We will give it another chance someday, as the food was good and so were the cocktails when they finally arrived, just hope that the urgency of service levels and attentiveness are better next time.
We went to a Valentines dinner. It was busy as expected, but Open Table made sure we were covered. Food was wonderful. Drinks tasty. Prices were on the high side, just like last time we visited.
This place was excellent...food was amazing and our waitress was great. We never felt rushed through our meal...we fully enjoyed our evening. We had the lobster hush puppies for apps...so good! The Bourbon medallions were cooked to perfection and so tender...the pork chop was absolutely the best flavor. We will definitely be back!
Had a fabulous Salmon dish in a creamy sauce and an attentive waitress named Morgan. Also enjoyed the crab cakes. Good beer and LaPost glass of wine. It was an early seating on Valentine’s Day that was just great. Will be back soon.
Our waiter seemed a little stressed and our meal was very slow getting to our table. Others that came after us got their food before us. Lemon ricotta pancake was barely warm and we had to ask for syrup.
Food was good. Promptly seated with our reservation. Our server seemed nerveous. He reacted like someone had yelled at him when he told us they were out of prime rib despite us being perfectly fine with it.
Service was great, food tasted amazing. Portions were a bit small and they ran out of prime rib. Get there early if prime rib is what you want. Food was very flavorful and had some interesting pairings. Overall great 1st experience and will definitely be going back.
Fabulous food and service. Went on a recommendation from friends and were very pleasantly surprised. Very quick, friendly service, lovely menu choices and atmosphere. Only tiny issue is that we found it cold.....understand that it is difficult to control temperature to please everyone, especially during an unusually cold February night!
Food was amazing until entrees came out. One which was homemade gnocchi that was way over cooked and fell apart as we tired to eat it. Also there was a sour taste to the red sauce on the pork belly meatballs. We informed them and they were very sweet and took it
Off our bill.
Our server was wonderful. I have a peanut, tree nut, and sesame see allergy. She made sure to tell the kitchen and even came back and talked to me about how the owner said the bread was manufactured at a place that has tree nuts. I was disappointed to see that my salad I got ended up having a few peanuts in it, even though it says nothing about it on the menu and the server said it was fine also. We were compensated for my food and given a gift card. The food and drinks were great, but for someone with a food allergy, I would be a little hesitant to return.
Good food. Good service. I avoid carbs and the chef was accommodating.
I took my siblings here who love out of town. They loved the atmosphere and all the unlimited alcoholic drink options. The food was great and the staff very courteous!
Amazing as always! One of our favorite places for brunch especially.
We arrived early for our reservation and were promptly seated. Excellent service and food.
Handcrafted Moscow Mule was delicious.
Great job Nate! Everything was very good.
Even with a reservation we waited close to an hour for a table, which I wouldn't have minded if the service had been better. We got seated, waited 5 minutes for waters and another 30 for drinks. At this point our order still hadn't been taken. After a while, our waitress finally took our order, and we waited about 40 minutes for our food. When the food came out, all four of us were missing the side of hash browns that came with our meal. When the waitress came back I asked if we could get our hash browns and she then told me that they had run out but she could get us all fries. So, it seemed like if I wouldn't have asked she wouldn't have even told us that they had run out of hash browns. About 10 minutes later the fries came out, they were lukewarm and unseasoned. I got the chicken and waffles which were alright, there was almost no bourbon maple syrup (which is what I was looking forward to) and more gravy than I knew what to do with making the waffle soggy. Overall, it was not worth the $25 for my boyfriend and I and I will for sure never be back.
Bottomless Bloody Mary and endless time for brunch. Perfect place for girlfriends, old friends to linger over a meal to catch up. Unfortunately, this did not describe our party of 5, including a 2-year old. Ambiance was lost on our little guy. Just wanted a pancake. We had asked that it be put on a "fast track" as he was hungry. Server tried hard to "hurry" the grill, to no avail. Server brought fruit and crayons as stalling tactic. Crayons were delicious. We were all served 45 minutes after having ordered. Great brunch selection, not the usual. Very filling; most brunch items fried, lots of creams and butter. Had made reservations; they were able to accommodate our last-minute request for an extra person (the toddler). Will try Railcar, again, minus kiddo.
You cannot mix and match the unlimited alcoholic beverages. The apple sangria and bloody mary are no good. The mimosas are tiny. We waited almost an hour for our food and then the food came out wrong! For the wait, the food was not that great. Our waiter was all over the place and rarely came to our table. Overall bad experience.
The food was incredible and the prices very reasonable. The waitress was very attentive. The croissants they bring to every table are to die for. It took a little longer than average to get our food, but the restaurant was very crowded and it was definitely worth waiting for!
Excellent experience for our first time there. Waitress was outstanding. Food was superb, with just the perfect serving sizes. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a great meal and reasonable prices, along with top notch, friendly service.
Our waitress was very slow and did not get one of the orders right. She had crossed it off on the receipt with a pin and manually wrote the order in.
We love the restaurant but the waitress was not the best.
