Railcar Modern American Kitchen
Great foods and Great service. There are a lot of good things going for this restaurant. All the foods are locally sourced and you can tell the difference. Great rustic decor. One of my biggest pet peeves when I eat any restaurant is the weight (weight balance, this is my weird habit to check the silverware if it is well balance, my wife always laugh at me every time I try to check that) and quality of the silverware. The silverware at the RailCar Modern America Kitchen are very good quality and perfectly weighted. All the sauce/Gravy/pesto are made from scratch in the house. The butter they serve, that is also house made whipped butter (so good). Just make sure you reserve your table ahead of time, they are super busy and weighting time at the door could be very long (there is not enough weighting room there either) if you do not book your table before you arrive.
This was my first time at the Railcar and I was very impressed! The food was delicious, beautifully presented and the service was amazing. Friendly staff and great atmosphere with a menu that isn't like what you find every place else. I will definitely return! Loved it!
Very nice dinner on cold and icy night. Very quiet since not a lot of diners but still very nice. Food and service excellent.
Food was spectacular, Hearher our server was terrific, would recommend to anyone that asked.
We can always count on railcar for good food good service- no hassle ever
This was our first time dinning here and it was a freat experience. The foods was delicious and I would recommend.
The service was very good, but also the food was fantastic!! My mother and I went here for brunch and it was perfect. Outstanding.
Excellent food, service and drinks. If you ever get the server named Knolan, you will not be disappointed either.
Will not come back ... waitress was more interested at the table in front of us versus meeting our needs and expectations. Menu items were described way better than they tasted... good marketing tactic!
We love Railcar and this meal was no exception. The only feedback I have is that that lights were a little too bright and the music just a little too loud. My prime rib was slightly overdone, but it was still delicious. We will definitely be back.
Everything was full of flavor and obviously carefully prepared. Great place.
Waiter was fine. The food wasn’t worth the price and the quality of the sides was even worse. We had a reservation for 4. We waited 15 minutes after our reservation because they were waiting for a two top to open up for us. When they tried to seat us there, they were still cleaning up. We had to remind them there was four of us at that point that sat us at the four top that had been open since we arrived. Very displeased with the place.
Another great experience. Prix Fixe menu was a homerun for both who ordered it. The scallops and the rib eye both outstanding choices. As always, Cronut dessert topped off a wonderful meal. Only down side was that we had an eclub offer for free entrée which we could not use although nothing indicated it was not acceptable for holiday use. Our waiter provided excellent service and even took back the first course when it was delivered prior to the appetizers bringing fresh out later. We really love Railcar and will definitely be back ...soon so we can get a free entrée!!
Seafood risotto was excellent and the amount of seafood was a pleasant surprise.
The lobster bisque had great flavor but was not hot enough when it arrived at the table.
Went there for New Years Eve. The service was great and the food was excellent. We will definitely go back.
We used to love, love the Railcar then they became stagnate and the food quality started to decline. Our food was fine but, not find dining. We used to eat there every weekend now we eat there when someone gives us a giftcard because they know how much we used to recommend it.
I've been here twice and both times have been very good. Asiago chicken was excellent. For dessert we had the pecan pie that was exceptional.
I think they were just having an off night. Usually their food is amazing and so is the service. This time the service was slow, and the food was lukewarm and not very flavorful.
Loved the great food. Nate was awesome. Great server
My husband and I had the ribs and while the flavor was good, literally had to saw the meat and bones apart and had to pick up and gnaw the meat off the bone. Very tough. Not the dining experiences were hoping for. My kids meals were good, the salmon and the filet medallions however both were still hungry after their meals. We’ve had good dining experiences in the past but were disappointed this time.
Great food, but the service was meh. We sat in bar area and they seemed to be a bit understaffed, which given the time of year, can be somewhat expected. Two VERY large parties were around us, and got most of the attention. It took about 30-minutes to put in our food order.
Awesome and the food was so good!
Food was great services was great. Very friendly staffing
Excellent food, service was generally very good but server got a little overwhelmed for a while and was a little slow serving our bottle of wine. Still, would highly recommend.
Lemon pancakes barely had any lemon pancakes served with “raspberries”, just 1 raspberry and no syrup or other compote. Bacon was too smoky flavored
Our server was fantastic! The hostess really pushed us to eat and get on our way. We had been there ONE HOUR and we were just finishing and she stopped by twice in five minutes asking us if she could get us anything before we left. Our daughter was still waiting for a pancake and we had drinks (coffee, tea and a Bloody Mary to still finish). She definitely tried to rush us. Finally, we told her that we were not finished with our food and drink. I understand if we were tying up a table, however, no one was waiting AND we had been there one hour. As soon as we were finished, we left.
We went with another couple for an evening out. The food was superb as always but service was average at best. My tomahawk pork chop had great flavor and my wife had the prime rib special (available only Friday and Saturday nights) and she said it was very good! Our waitress seemed to be going through the motions of trying to be a good waitress there just wasn't much sincerity in her words. It's not the most expensive place around to eat but it's also not cheap. The food lived up to the menu price but the service was lacking.
A group of us went to Railcar for dinner and drinks. We got there during happy hour but because we had a reservation we couldn’t partake in the happy hour deals because we were seated in the dining area. Other than that let down the food was good, just small portions for the price. Our server was great!
This is our tenth time dining at Railcar over the past couple of years and the third time with a large group. The service is superb and the food is excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great food, good ambiance. Really nice place! We went for a date, but felt like we could go back with kiddos sometime!
We had a large family party for brunch and we had a great quieter location which made conversation easy. The food was all so good and there were a lot of options. Maybe the best--the deep fried croissant was AMAZING! Service was both quick and personable. Not much to look at from the street, but don't let that fool you.
Fantastic experience! We always love going to Railcar.
Fantastic meal and the service was the best I have had. Our waiter truly made the meal and the experience the best. We will be back for sure and will have Nolan wait on us every time.
The food was great and our server was good, but it took us 35 minutes to get our drinks each time seeing that they only had 1 bartender working and it was “bottomless drinks”
We had 7 in our party for brunch and everything was made to perfection. Three of our party had not been before and were surprised by the uniqueness and quality of food.
Great food and service ! The brunch and happy hour are fantastic ! Got their take out Thanksgiving meal and it was wonderful.
Waiter was very awkward, brought me a stein of beer when I asked for a glass ($12 beer). Entrees are $20+ for nothing too spectacular.
This seemed like a great meeting place for my grandkids, son-in-law and myself. We all enjoyed the ambience, the staff was fantastic and the food was delicious. A first for everyone loving everything they ordered with no child complaining. The menu was interesting with the diverse options and the bison meatloaf was fantastic. We all agreed that we would definitely return.
Great food and service
Awesome food! We had brunch and everyone enjoyed their food.
