Ragin Cajun Cafe
Great place for Special occasions. Food tasty and service is great!
A very disappointing night out. The menu was very limited, beer and wine list even more limited with several items not available. My house salad was primarily cucumbers, with a little iceberg lettuce, carrots, and tomatoes. I ordered the shrimp etoufee which was OK, but not memorable. I was offered bread, but it was plain cold white bread. I will not be returning and would recommend picking another restaurant for your night out..
Met the owner Lisa. She makes the best homemade peach cobbler. Our waitress Bridget was very helpful with explaining the menu and she has a great personality. We will return.
alligator was great. the blackened catfish could have been a little spicier and blackened more. update on-line menu first time at this restaurant went on line and saw some great items but had been taken off the menu. drinks were fantastic and our server was great. will defiantly be back.
This was our first time at Ragin Cajun. We had heard about it but wanted to experience it ourselves. We were not disappointed. We had reservations and were seated immediately. My man ordered the Crawfish Elouffee and I ordered the Bayou Bisque. BOTH were excellent!!!! I was full so offered the remainder to my hubby. The noise volume was MUCH better than other South Bay restaurants...we didn't have to yell. We truly appreciated that aspect of our meal. Our waiter was very helpful in answering our questions about the menu. His recommendations were on the spot. He was very friendly and had a good sense of humor. We WILL return. and possibly try some of that Alligator!
The food was authentic cajun complete with juicy frog legs and Red Beans and Rice the likes of which I never expected to find in Los Angeles. Margaritas were delicious.
The food was good but did not taste cajun enough
Hadn't been back here for months since my wife and I have been on a low carb diet. They were kind enough to make our favorite Bayou Bisque without the rice. This is our favorite soup in the South Bay. We also ordered the chicken wings which were outstanding. We had the bottomless mimosas which was the perfect pairing for our lunch.
Good menu selection just not really seasoned enuff to be called cajun.
I had celebrated my birthday at Ragin Cajun a year ago almost to the day, so I was excited to return. I made a special trip from the San Gabriel Valley in anticipation of a great meal and good service. I ordered the fried clams and the fish and chips and was surprised to find the fish batter void of flavor and the necessary crispy associated with the dish. The dough was soggy. Maybe the batter was not sufficiently fried, but the fish sufficiently cooked. Generally, it was a big disappointment. The $2 margaritas were good, as was the service; however, I will not recommend going out of my way to eat there again.
THIS IS THE CLOSEST TO NEW ORLEANS FOOD AS I'VE BEEN ABLE TO FIND. LOVE IT!
It was okay...
Fantastic food in a great ambiance with terrific service. I'll be coming back often.
Family friendly, family owned, great food and drinks!
Fun environment with great food!
Great food and highly recommend this restaurant. Great Bourbon selection
I was disappointed with my blacken catfish poboy. The fish didn't have flavor. Not enough lettuce and pickles.
The food was delicious! Highly recommend the Bayou Bisque and the Gumbo. The hurricanes were also very tasty and the souvenir glass was a great bonus. You won’t be disappointed.
Amazing food , it really brought me back to Lafayette Louisiana when I used to go to school there. I loved the culture and the food was amazing and he definitely brought the authentic creole flavors to California
Our dinner experience was extremely enjoyable. We made a reservation and were seated within minutes of our reserved time. The wait staff visited us shortly after sitting down, taking drink orders which were quickly filled. Our orders were taken shortly after that. The appetizer was delicious, delivered not long after ordering. The entrees were delicious! Dessert was great! And the live music added to the overall experience. We will go back frequently!
Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Will definitely be back
If you haven’t been you need to check out the Cajun food, great menu great food.
The fresh seafood shipped in once a year was outstanding! I had crawfish and even my husband who calls them bait, enjoyed several of mine. I had another left over for another night. Do not miss the beignets!
What a fun eating experience! Our son got a huge mound of crawfish, which were very tasty. Our daughter ordered crab legs which were big and meaty. I enjoyed the jambalaya and boiled shrimp. The decor is fun and the live music was energetic. The service was very friendly but could have been more timely.
Waitbstaff was very friendly and professional. The food was delicious and they're was big size portions. Overall I enjoyed 😊 t and would definitely return
Brothers birthday, they couldn’t handle a table of 10 the waiter was sweaty and overwhelmed. Terrible and the food wasn’t good, drinks were watered down.
For these prices, the alligator appetizer should not be frozen and mass-manufactured.
Awesome place. Would recommend to my friends. Will visit again.
We went on Mardi Gras for the party, and it was good music and good fun. Super packed, which was to be expected as it was unusually busy. The rush overwhelmed the bar staff so the service was poor, and they had "one-night-only" bar staff ,who were very nice, but who didn't know the specials, nor what was in stock. Food came out of the kitchen in parts, so people were eating while it was hot, but without complete meals....my side dish came out after I was basically done, so I got a box to go. It was still delicious, and The Pig Whistle Flight was worth the wait. We go a few times a year, and I'm sure we'll go back again.
The majority of my crawfish had no tail...almost like they served me already eaten Crawfish as they were out.
They made me wait for over an hour for this and they had a sigh that they were out of crawfish....never again!!!!
Good food first time coming and great customer services
Went back to this place for a second time and it was just as good as the first!
Food was good. Waitress (I think her name was Melissa) was great! I'd go back just because of her!!
Not what I expected, i could've went around the corner to get my crab fix better.
Great, fast service. My service was friendly and the food was delish!
Suprised my family with dinner and they haven't stopped talking about how good the food was
Ragin Cajun's food is always great and the staff is friendly.
The food was over and under cooked. The crab legs were small with no meat inside. The corn appeared old and the potatoes were hard. The fries and peach punch were good. The service was friendly. However there were only four tables of customers. We would never go there again. I did not bring my concerns to the attention of management. However we left and ate at RedLobster.
Every slow food was not cooked like I requested and they brought my aunt a different meal from what she order but I will say the waitress was okay they had him just coving to many tables he also had a good sprit
