Ragazzi Italian Kitchen & Bar Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I went for a Valentine's dinner, on the day after. They gave us the kind of table requested, quieter, off to the side. The food was very good and we'll go back and explore the menu further. My Spinach Pasta with Gorgonzola Sauce was Wonderful! I'd been here for a lunch with ladies and enjoyed that too. I thought it was good value, friendly service, nice ambience. One of the circular booths looked inviting; didn't know to ask for that - a little more private.. Easy to reserve on line. Try it.
This is my favorite restaurant. The food is delicious, especially the salmon oreganata. The gluten free selection and taste if food is great. The service is always good. The restaurant is pretty and very clean. I love that the owner is always there checking that all is good at everyone's table .
Booked a table for valentines day, could only get late afternoon. Was seated promptly, waitress was attentive. A Lot of gluten free options and can tweak the menu for dietary concerns. The gluten free items come with a "GF" flag so you're sure of what you're getting. Would visit again
We frequent this restaurant often and we enjoy it immensely. We always have a great meal with superb service. The manager at this location Always greets everyone, stays on top of his staff & goes out of his way to ask if everything is to your expectations! It's these little things that mean so much to dining customers... it goes from ordinary to extraordinary. We will continue to dine here and go back with other friends & family!
It was very crowded, but we had a reservation. Unfortunately Ragazzi chose not to partake in the Smithtown Price fixe and that would have been a very good thing to do. My chicken was like shoe leather - but my friend was buying- and I didn’t want to make a scene. That was one of their Ragazzi specials-not good. Disappointed this time. My friend is gluten free and she said hers was so-so too.
We’ve been here before and the food is always good. I have the salad with the cranberries on it and the layered eggplant appetizer- both were delicious. Had some martinis at the bar before sitting down. Julia was very sweet and friendly. The only problem with this place is it is very noisy but if you don’t mind it, it’s worth the trip.
Was here for New Year’s Eve celebration and they had the regular menu not a special menu. That was a big plus for us since we wanted a place that we could choose from the regular menu. Also had specials available for your choice and 2 of the 4 people ordered the specials. We started with the seafood salad. Was delicious and so fresh with a touch of lemon. Could have just made that my meal. My husbands Main course was striped bass with seasonal vegetables and the potato croquet which he stated was so delicious that it reminded him of his mother’s when she use to make them. I had the rigatoni stuffed with ricotta..absolutely delicious. The eggplant parmigiana was tasty and plentiful...our reservation was for 9:00 and we arrived 10 minutes early. Our table was ready at 9:00 and we were seated promptly. The place was jumping but you could see that the management, servers, hostess and wait staff were all very well prepared for New Year’s Eve and the evening ran very very smoothly...a must for anyone and everyone to try just because and not just for a special occasion...definitely will be going back real soon...
We are regulars at Ragazzi! Lovely atmosphere, consistently good food and service! Most often we sit at the bar for a bit to enjoy cocktails that our favorite bartender, Andrew, prepares! The owner, Roger, is very personable and is always on site to say hello and make sure everything is to our liking!
We have always enjoyed Ragazzi. The ambiance is beautiful, the owner and staff very accommodating. This visit however was disappointing. It was New Years Eve, but early (5pm), the issue was the food. My brother-in-law has spaghetti and meatballs the meatballs were over done and dry, I has lasagna rollatini (usually my go to item at Ragazzi) it was overdone, fortunately my sister has ravioli in pink sauce which she said was delicious. We will definitely do back in the hopes in was just "a bad night" with the hustle and bustle of the holiday. Not a best visit.
We had a long table in the corner by the glass doors and it was extremely cold. Most of my guests had to wear their jackets for the meal. This make a terrible impression on what would have otherwise been a very nice evening celebrating my son's birthday. Very disappointed that they could not put a space heater nearby.
