Excellent, as always! We celebrated our anniversary on Monday with dinner and cocktails at Ragazzi's.
Only we missed Roger, he had the day off!
Always a great time
My favorite Italian restaurant on Long Island!
Ambiance and food quality are very good. One of the nicer restaurants in the area.
Very good. Great service, great food.
Excellent food and service as always! Love this place :)
Great Italian food and fantastic value. Beautiful bar and nice cozy atmosphere. The servers were the BEST PART. Excellent. Highly recommended.
Slow to be seated. Busing staff very lackadaisical. Waited 45 minutes to be seated while they cleaned up after large party.
Was here for New Year’s Eve celebration and they had the regular menu not a special menu. That was a big plus for us since we wanted a place that we could choose from the regular menu. Also had specials available for your choice and 2 of the 4 people ordered the specials. We started with the seafood salad. Was delicious and so fresh with a touch of lemon. Could have just made that my meal. My husbands Main course was striped bass with seasonal vegetables and the potato croquet which he stated was so delicious that it reminded him of his mother’s when she use to make them. I had the rigatoni stuffed with ricotta..absolutely delicious. The eggplant parmigiana was tasty and plentiful...our reservation was for 9:00 and we arrived 10 minutes early. Our table was ready at 9:00 and we were seated promptly. The place was jumping but you could see that the management, servers, hostess and wait staff were all very well prepared for New Year’s Eve and the evening ran very very smoothly...a must for anyone and everyone to try just because and not just for a special occasion...definitely will be going back real soon...
Excellent, as usual.
good for nye but was rushed a bit
brought out dinner before done with apps
We are regulars at Ragazzi! Lovely atmosphere, consistently good food and service! Most often we sit at the bar for a bit to enjoy cocktails that our favorite bartender, Andrew, prepares! The owner, Roger, is very personable and is always on site to say hello and make sure everything is to our liking!
We have always enjoyed Ragazzi. The ambiance is beautiful, the owner and staff very accommodating. This visit however was disappointing. It was New Years Eve, but early (5pm), the issue was the food. My brother-in-law has spaghetti and meatballs the meatballs were over done and dry, I has lasagna rollatini (usually my go to item at Ragazzi) it was overdone, fortunately my sister has ravioli in pink sauce which she said was delicious. We will definitely do back in the hopes in was just "a bad night" with the hustle and bustle of the holiday. Not a best visit.
Very busy when arrived. Had reservation. Was seated shortly after arrival. Very Good food and service. Recommend for a casual Italian diner.
Always a good meal.
Pollo Scarpiello, chicken with bone, is the best dish of all. This is a nice Italian restaurant. Good food.
Waiter was well know for good service. Shelby the services was Awesome.
We had a long table in the corner by the glass doors and it was extremely cold. Most of my guests had to wear their jackets for the meal. This make a terrible impression on what would have otherwise been a very nice evening celebrating my son's birthday. Very disappointed that they could not put a space heater nearby.
My go to all the time! I have to eat gluten free and they have a great gluten free menu. Highly recommend! Ask to be seated with Brianna, she’s great.
Great place an owner who cares about the customers and everything right. Love the place
Excellent middle of the road Italian restaurant. Service quite slow though, three hours is just too long for a regular meal.
Everything was good. I ordered a steak for dinner. It needed some seasoning..
This was our 5th time back. Our granddaughters love it. Kid friendly
The food was delicious
The service was special. We had a great ,meal at a great price!
Everything was delicious and the waiter was very attentive
First time here. Loved it. Great service. Great food. We will definitely be back again.
This place never disappoints!
We were there and it was Pasta Night, good value, but not amazing.
Delicious food. Amazing for gluten free options . They serve a nice portion at a good price.
The food was amazing as always and the bartender Andrew is superb
Ragazzi never disappoints. Food and service excellent highly recommend.
From start to finish, we had a great time.
Food was delicious, service was great.
Very pretty inside.
I've been here a few times, and each time was as good as the one before...consistent.
Food quality was excellent. However, I would not recommend this place to friends due to its inhospitable policy of insisting that all members of a party be present in order to be seated. In my situation, I showed up 5 minutes early for a reservation that I had pre-booked on Open Table for a table for 2 people. Despite the fact that I explained that the person I would be dining with had just texted me with their location as being near the corner on which the restaurant was located, and despite the fact that I told the host that I would like to sit at my table and have a drink and appetizer while I was waiting for my friend to arrive, the host quoted their policy to me of not seating people (even for a table for 2), until everyone had arrived. This seemed unreasonable to me, given the fact that people can sit at their table and drink while waiting for others just surely as they can do that at the bar, but with less hassle. Given the circumstances of having made an advance reservation, and my arrival five minutes prior to my reservation time, and the fact that I told them where my friend was enroute (on the corner by the restaurant), I think it was inhospitable and rude to insist that I "go to the bar and have a drink" until "everyone" had arrived. Perhaps some actuarial accountant has quantified the number of minutes it takes to clear a table, and the "ideal time" that a table should be occupied to maximize the restaurant's profit margin, but this is a case of being "penny wise but dollar foolish." The policy makes you feel unwelcomed from when you first encounter the restaurant staff and they tell you that you can't be seated. Not good. If restaurants think this is a financially smart policy, they have missed the boat. You are a "hospitality" business; this does not feel welcoming. Again, "penny wise, but dollar foolish." Based on this policy, I would not retun to Ragazzi, and I will tell my friends not to bother, despite the high quality of the food.
Great food! Was a little chilly at first but talked to the server and she made sure we were comfortable. Very good experience overall.
My husband and I dined in for our anniversary, when we made the reservation i noted that it was our anniversary but it was never acknowledged. My husband has the Vitello Milanese and the veal cutlet was so thin and then breaded and fried you could barely taste the veal. I had the pollo Gorgonzola which I usually always get and love and again the chicken was so thin it was rubbery. I would suggest not making the meat so thin, it's not enjoyable.
We had a party of 5 for an early anniversary dinner for my parents. From the moment we sat we saw the young waitress had a very poor attitude. No smile, no hello, just "what can I get you to drink" in a direct manner. When she came back, I asked her if there were any specials and she said with a smirk, "ha, not until 5", it was only 4:30. She then took our order and we didn't see her again until she brought the check. Another waitress brought the food. By the way, 3 of us really enjoyed our dinners and 2 did not like theirs at all.
We looked over check and I caught a mistake that she charged us for penne ala vodka when someone only ordered spaghetti with tomato sauce. So I asked her if she realized it and she said with a big attitude, "yep". Long story short she corrected it after she had to see a manager. Now I still left a 20% tip because I assume they share tips here since we were served by another waitress.
But I will not be going back anytime soon.
Always a great time and great food at Ragazzi's !!
The restaurant known as Ragazzi Italian Kitchen & Bar is generally very good all around. Some wait staff can be a bit overloaded at time and some can be a bit forgetful, but not to the point that we haven't been back every once in a while.
I had the lobster ravioli and it was good but a bit to spicy. If you do not like spicy food this is not something that you want to have.
My all time favorite restaurant that has gluten free items!
