Great food and service. A bit loud but a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I will return for sure! Pork chop was fabulous. Shrimp and mussel appy was phenomenal and the meatballs we're delighted! 😊👍🏼

The salt and pepper mills are either empty or not functioning. This is a frequent and annoying occurrence, especially when all the other elements of dining here are so well-handled. Details!

Rafele is a very good, no pretense Italian restaurant. They care. The food is genuine, generous in portions and delicious. Two specials, a pounded pork chop simply grilled with olive oil and lemon, and stripped bass with shaved artichoke, were elegant and delicious the dark chocolate gelato is superb. A winner.

We were there for New Year's Eve. Great food and overall friendly service. Only critical point: Although there was no official second seating we were asked at 11.00 pm to leave our table for new visitors, but were compensated by a drink at the bar. Restaurant is relly great.

Dopo una settimana di solo “cibo Americano” la pasta era un miraggio, da Rafele invece ti senti a casa, ottime le pietanze, camerieri educati e molto disponibili, Rafele gentilissimo. Lo consiglio a tutti.

Ambiance was nice, music was at a good level, meaning you can actually have a conversation with friends without having to scream. Service was good, the waiters were around but you never felt pressured to rush on your food or rush to leave despite the fact that we were there until it was their closing time, this I appreciate it a lot. Pasta and food in general was very average, nothing special, but their cheesecake was superb. Definitely a good place to meet friends, it was confortable. Overall I would give this place is a 6.

We had a Christmas eve dinner here. There was a special seafood and fish menu in addition to the normal menu. We ordered seafood starters and fish mains. Our son had meatballs and pizza. The seafood was excellent and we had a nice south Italian white wine to accompany the meal. The fish was prepared perfectly. The waiters were attentive and dressed for the special occasion. All in all a very good experience.

A wonderful meal with family celebrating an occasion. The food was excellent. The service, especially our waiter Tomasso, was impeccable. Authentic Neopolitan and Tuscan specialties are prevalent throughout the menu. Ask for the specials when ordering and inquire about any off-menu wines.

We had a large group and it was our first time there. I wanted to go in support of a donation that had been made to a foundation that my husband and I support. The Christmas decor was beautiful and we got seated in a private little corner. The trouble was that our waitress didn’t seem to want to be bothered with us. We had questions and she answered very quickly and had a thick accent so it was hard for us to understand. Since we were a group of 8 the gratuity was already added and our group doesn’t have a lot of drinkers for various reasons, so I guess she didn’t feel the need to work for her tip. Pretty disappointing. We would have liked to bless her with more like we did at other establishments in the city. Probably won’t return.

Such an amazing restaurant! It was so good that we came back a second day in a row. The service by Nicolo also made the meal such a special experience as he was so well-versed in every course and the wine list. This is my new favorite restaurant in NYC.

There were five of us coming from the theater. We had zucchini blossoms, fried artichoke, burrata and Melania for apps. They were all superb. We moved into pasta with pork jowl, fish stew , calamari, margarita pizza and plain spaghetti. All but the fish stew were super. The fish stew was really a matter of taste because someone else liked it very much.

Deserts- cheesecake maybe best in NY or close. Chocolate lava, I’ve had before but it doesn’t matter it was also something available lots of places delicious.

We were all thrilled tho two of us were there before. It’s an excellent restaurant. We came in a bit after 5. We left a little after seven and the line was outside and they were about to be packed. So make a reservation.

Service couldn’t be better nor can the value.

Excellent authentic Italian dishes. Convivial atmosphere. Not pretentious.
Pastas and other entrees very well executed and portions abundant.
Complimentary eggplant with the bread basket is a nice and delicious signature touch.
Pricing ok. Service was friendly but uneven. Would definitely return.

I picked this restaurants as one of our special nights while in NYC. We arrived early for an early dinner. We were the only table in the restaurant. The service was OK at best as it was hard to get suggestions and refills. (BTW no free refills on Soda). Service was just Blah. They were not rude or mean but definitely did not make me or my family feel comfortable. It was strange. I thought the food was good but not great. There were some things we ordered that were good like the pork cheek pasta, calamari, artichoke salad. Other items like the fried pizza was not very good.

This restaurant is out of this world! We just returned to the US from Italy, so it suffices to say the food at Rafele did not disappoint. We ordered the tagliolini ai funghi and the lamb ragu. The service was excellent, friendly waiters, relaxing ambience, very impressive cuisine. Thank you.
