Radish & Rye Ratings and Reviews
We go to a restaurant for many reasons, primarily the food. We had heard excellent things about Radish & Rye and wanted to try it. We will not go back. My trout was very dry and the polenta was over cooked, as was the bread that was specially ordered. My friend's salmon was good but her vegetables were inedible. The best part of the experience was our waitress who was very attentive and up-beat, but she did not make up for the overall quality of the meal.
Radish and Rye is the most exquisite restaurant I have ever been to. The staff are amazing, vibrant and honorable. Their level of service is impeccable, the food and drinks are literally perfect. This has become my favorite place to dine and relax. You will not find a better restaurant in existence.
The food is good, clean and innovative. However, the waitress wouldn't leave us alone. Her continuing to "check-in" and comments about the food were annoying. She interrupted our conversation multiple times. Love the food but won't go back because we don't want to have dinner with the wait staff! It's too bad they don't have customer service down as the food was good. Regrets!
Ambiance and food were stunning. Service was a little *too good*. We didn't need our water refilled or cleaned up every 2 minutes. We appreciate the attentiveness, but it did interrupt our conversation a little much. Still, we'd come back.
Also, our server didn't bring hot towels, like he brought to our neighboring towels, nor did he describe the drink specials, like the other tables received.
I can not say enough positive things about our wonderful experience at Radish and Rye. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. The food was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. My favorite dish was the ribs. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. It’s not too fancy and has a cozy atmosphere that allows you to relax and enjoy your meal.
Fabulous and creative menu with just the right size portions! Food done to perfection and our waiter was attentive without being intrusive. The only reason we did not return the second night of our stay in Santa Fe was they are closed on Mondays!
A definite must!
Our experience here was simply delightful. Bourbon selection was very solid. Our dinner was very nice. Ribeye was prepared perfectly. The service was flawless which was all the more impressive given how busy they were. If anyone saw something needing to be addressed, it was taken care of. Started off with some pop corn popped in duck fat dusted with red chili powder, probably the fanciest popcorn I'll ever have...
Great food for farm to table. The service was wonderful, and the creative approach to food was interesting.
The Kentucky Blue Grass music theme got a little tedious - for a restaurant of this caliber, a different and more varied selection would be nice. Even though Bourbon is its highlight, some might not really 'get' the music vibe.
The food and service were both very good. However the table we were given was basically in a very busy hallway right next to the kitchen door - very uncomfortable. We asked for a different table, but they were unable to find one for us within a reasonable time frame (they blamed it on our use of Open Table to make the reservation). To make things worse the speakers for their sound system were on the wall right above our heads and the country and western music (totally inappropriate for a fine dining establishment) was blaring so loud we had to shout to have a conversation with our friends. We asked several times if they would turn the volume down and while they said they did there was no discernible change.
We have been to R&R several times, but I have to say that it is unlikely we'll go back.
It is always a pleasure to visit Radish and Rye. It has a welcoming atmosphere and the rooms feel cheerful. We go for the small plates and try something new. In this case the crusted shrimp and lamb pate were delicious.
A small problem was our waiter who was condescending and cold. Felt as if our food was being thrown at us. Very different from the usually cheerful service. Our guests thought that maybe he was an actor.
But that was not terrible and everything else was just great.
We had been recommended to eat here by numerous friends and locals alike. We had a nice evening but the food was pretty lame - the ingredients seems good but everything was bland or overly garlicky with not much in between. Maybe it was an off night - assuming so given that everyone else loves it!
